True, but I'd rather have a QB who throws picks to safeties deep down the field ala Jacory, than to linebackers and of course CB's jumping routes for pick 6's. Harris needs to understand his physical limitations more than anything. His arm strength isn't that great, yet he loved to toss it deep often, and those floaters were consistently picked. I don't think he throws deep as much with Whipple gone. Harris outplayed Morris in the offseason, and I don't think Morris played well enough to warrant him being named the starter. Like I said, if I felt Morris was the future, than I'd probably be more inclined to start him over the guy I feel gives us a better chance of winning. But I don't. And quite frankly, after this year and maybe next year, I don't want to see another QB from the state of Florida ever take a snap for this team ever again.
Especially when FSU is dominant right now, UF wont be down for very long, and while FIU is on the rise. All of them will steal recruits from UM.
If by dominant you mean losing to mid level ACC teams, I agree. UF is done for awhile. And FIU will be back in the cellar when Cristobal leaves in the next couple years, likely to Miami if Golden leaves.
FIU has a long way to go. I'd rather see this season play out before I actually feel somewhat threatened. Not discrediting them because Cristobal has done a great job there, but right now it's a small sample size. UF, I have no clue. FSU hasn't won a conference champ since '05 so no, they are not dominant yet.
Why would Cristobal leave a promising program for one that is in the ****ter and will be for awhile? You are aware that he is under contract until 2016 right?
You are aware he can leave FIU whenever he wants for 1 years salary? FIU is at best a top school in their conference and that's all they will ever be. You won't find a single coach pick FIU over Miami, ever. USF is more of a threat than FIU, and they are sill no threat at all.
FIU is a non-AQ team, too. There's only so much he can do there before another big opportunity presents itself.
If they stay in the Sun-Belt thats all they will ever be. You are also assuming that Golden is a failure already, I would not go that far, keep in mind that he did not inherit much from Shannon's crappy recruiting. I think he will be a good coach, he just needs time, maybe more than usual depending on how hard the hammer comes down. As for FIU, I expect FIU to dominate the Sunbelt for lets say the next 5+ years, after a while I would think a conference like The Big East or Conf-USA would invite them. I think that is the next step for that program.
Never once did I say Golden has failed. I like Golden a hell of a lot. I just have my doubts that he stays. Miami is a 2-3 year rebuilding project, and he'll most likely have to do it with limited scholarships. Nobody told him about the Shapiro thing, I imagine he has to be pretty pissed about it. I hope he stays, but if he does leave, Cristobal is who I expect to replace him.

Idk. You have 2 pretty good corners in Davis and Smith on the Dolphins, but Sapp is awful and Carroll is Reggie Howard bad. Aside from Bell, who sucks in coverage, the safeties are average at best. On the Canes, all the corners are garbage except maybe JoJo Nicolas but he's playing S, but we have 2 darn good safeties. Take your pick, both secondaries have a lot of work to do.
Luckily we're playing in Miami so we won't have to deal with the refs giving OSU the game like that powerhouse Toledo team...
Miami 16 Ohio St 13. Yeah not confident at all. I like how Ohio st is using Stoneburner but that team is a mess. No Nathan Willams means no pass rush only person on that line that requires a double team is Simon. Bauserman is bad I'm guessing the Canes have a field day against him. Hopefully the game has more fireworks but I don't see Ohio St winning.
Someone needs to beat it into Jacory's head that his arm is great with some touch but he has no arm strength whatsoever.
I don't get it. He can make the worst throws and make throws like that. Unbelievable. Btw, nice to see Streeter involved for the 2nd straight game.
