Seriously? Do you know how many times everyday constantly the naysayers bagged on Henne? All I heard in every thread was that "Henne sucks"
Now that he has taken the next step hell yes I'm going to say it. The only way you can prove me wrong is if he goes out and stinks it up. Would that make you happy.
If not I'm not sure what to tell you except the QB that you blasted daily is starting to prove all of you wrong. Get it.
Beside this is serious business and posters were banned over the topic. They were Henne supporters.

KillerPhins - I am new to this site, and I wrote this blog. I'm curious why some users were banned? I wrote the article and tried to defend my point in my responses, but I was suprised to see some users banned??

    Welcome to the board, Faithful...

Henne is the qb and thus assumes the brunt of the criticism of the team. The problem is that the criticism of him, at that time, was justified. The only way for the criticism to stop is for him to not do those things that caused it in the first place. But more than that, he had to show that he can do it on a consistent basis, period.

I'm tickled pink, as a Henne supporter, that he has finally shown thru and improved his game. Adding Daboll and Bush, etc all have helped, but the real difference is Henne himself. All that said, if he doesn't show that he can do it week in and week out, it won't matter to those who dislike him and don't think he's capable. IN fact, I think the whole issue has not been that he's not capable, but not consistently capable. Every loss, his fault or not, every INT, every overthrown ball will be dissected and put thru the ringer for this kid until he proves that he can use his talent fully most of the time.

So, if you don't want to hear the criticism of Henne, close your ears. It's going to happen for this kid for every miniscule mistake or fan perceived mistake he makes...

#1 You cant be serious, because no,it wouldnt.

#2 "starting" is exactly all I`m saying.

Look,I watched enough football in my life to see an improvement when I see it. Did Henne improve from last years debacle thus far? Yes,he has and it would be idiotic to say otherwise. I`m just not 100 % sold on pre-season and one real game yet. Thats what I mean by thus far. I really dont know how else to say it. Not a knock on you but I prefer to wait and see.

exactly. I root for henne and support him in every game because as a fan, I want the team to do well and every player to personally do well so the entire team gets better and better. But that does not mean that I believe that Henne is the man for us from here on out tho. I wanted a new QB after the last season but am willing to see how he does now in this new system and I hope it works out well for us.

I believe you to be right and if so, I'll be the first to jump up on that wagon. Four games is ample time to see.

It was a Henne war. ToddPhins, Mr Clean, DJ, KillerP, GMJ, & few others vs the entire board, basically. Todd & GM deserve aqua hearts for being banned in combat.

I give Henne all the credit in the world for how well he played against the Patriots. Yet I am not ready to jump on the Henne bandwagon after one game this season. I certainly hope he becomes the QB many on here believe he will. I have just seen too many up and down games from him over the last two years to accept that he has made that giant leap to be a consistent QB in the NFL. He certainly showed this past Monday that he has the ability to make this leap, but I want to see how he plays over the coming weeks before I accept that he is the QB this team should be building their future around.

The Dolphins still have many needs on their team which have to be filled before they can win against the better teams in the NFL on a consistent basis. I would love to see Henne succeed in Miami and if for no other reason than the Dolphins would not have to use their first round pick in the 2012 draft on a QB.

On your comment that you find it ironic that the Bronco fans aren't happy with Orton as their QB. I am not the least bit surprised. The fans in Denver have wanted Orton replaced by Tebow since Tebow was drafted. The problem in Denver isn't Orton. It is the entire team, which is terrible. Of course Elway, who now runs the football operations for the Broncos, wants nothing more than to be able to select Andrew Luck with the first pick in the draft. So whether it is Orton, Tebow, or Quinn, I don't see any of the QB's in Denver making the fans of the Broncos happy this season.

Nothing in particular. It was just a month old rook saying who the Henne supporters were last winter. I was just wondering how he knew that [or not].

Not necessarily. You only need to see a few of them to get the general idea. A few guys said that Henne was never put in a situation where he could succeed. Poor run game, poor OL, awful TEs, no depth at WR, the offensive coordinator from hell, no check down threat, no deep threat etc. And that if we got an OC to build an offense around Henne's skills, a decent run game and some credible targets for him to throw to that his play would improve dramatically.

If you watch the Pats game, the run game was awful and the pass pro wasn't much better. Henne was in obvious passing situations, without any protection, for most of the night and he still set career highs in passing yards, rushing yards, and TD's. If we can get a run game and an OL who keeps people out of Henne's face for a change, I think games like Monday night can become the norm. That's a big IF, but it's the same if that a select few forum members have been talking about since November of last year when Henne was benched.

Read carefully, I said "not necessarily".

I totally agree w/ the bolded statement. And most of the Henne bashers and Mallet/Orton/Dalton/McNabb etc supporters have scattered like roaches.

5thAmendment has it right DD. If you are in any way making an assumption that I am someone on Henne's bandwagon then you have no clue what you are talking about. That list of names was dead on as far as the biggest Henne supporters here except DJ who at first was unsettled about Henne till he went back and examined and did a write up about every single game and came to a unanimous conclusion that the mess last year wasn't Henne's fault exclusively like most believed. He went back changed his tune and had the stones to admit it. He is now one of us.

    Wow you are so smart!
I wish were were all as smart as you!

I believe I will stay on the "fair weather" fan side and still believe him to be mediocre. Especially all those "fair weathered fans" in our FO who were trying to replace Henne with Orton during the off season. I hope this doesn't make me have to "find a new team," could be expensive to buy all those new jerseys.

Ricky and Ronnie are gone because they don't fit into the system we are running under the new OC (One Back Spread). Notice Polite is gone as well. Not to mention this years Oline isn't that good either, so far at least.

I support Henne. I think the coaching staff finally found a system that gets our best players on the field and also simplifies things for Henne at the same time. Last year we had the back field for a 2 back ground and pound style offense. This year we have Bush and now Bess (one of our top offensive weapons) is on the field ALL the time as a part of our base personnel package. I think the bottom line is this system fits Henne better and hopefully it will fit the team better as well.

I agree with the sentiment to some degree, but telling fans to support Henne or pick a new team seems a bit strong. But I guess that is the way that posting on the internet goes.

Was the FO really trying to replace Henne or was the media OVER reporting the possibility of Henne being replaced? I mean, we had supposedly credible media outlets reporting Ryan Mallett in the 1st round and even Brett Favre in FA as realistic possibilities.

I've heard rumors about bogus moon landings, aliens in Arizona, a man on the grassy knoll, and men who revive after being dead for 3 days as well...C'mon man.

The Miami Dolphins trading for a QB is equivalent to a "magic bullet."

If you honestly think that the Miami Dolphins were not serious contenders to trade for Orton, I got some Ocean front real estate in Arizona for you. It was going to happen until contract talks fell apart.

You're sounding rather defensive for no apparent reason. I did not mention anyone by name simply because it makes no difference in the discussion other than there were a lot more against him than were for him. If you were one of the ones that were for him last winter, why did you even say something like this now?
