Can anyone run between the tackles consistently with this O-Line? There were times against NE that as soon as Henne touched the ball a defender already broke through and sacked him, or tackled Reggie, before you could blink. That's the reason he should be used more on the outside and in screens. He's had a few good runs on the inside (counting preseason)...but they should not have him run in there more than outside.

It shouldn't matter what Bush thinks. The fact is that he has shown over the five years in the league that he is best when he has the ball in space. He has also shown that he is injury prone and the Dolphins coaching staff would be foolish to use him as the primary power runner on the Dolphins, just so Bush can try to prove a point. Running Bush between the tackles a couple of times a game is fine. Trying to run him up the middle throughout the entire game is just insane.

The power running game should be left up to Thomas and Johnson, no matter how much this might hurt Bush's feelings.

I think a lot of teams are going to have a tough time running against the Haynesworth/Wilfork combo. People are jumping the gun on Bush a little bit. But again, that's just me.

No, but had you said that your height should allow you to be an ILB like Dansby is, as Bush said about Payton, then you'd be off the mark as well...

I love how you continue to assert that Reggie was comparing himself to Payton even though he explicitly stated that he is no Walter Payton. Tell me, is it difficult to delude yourself into believing something when there's empirical evidence to the contrary staring you in the face? And what makes your point even more misguided is the fact that he wasn't comparing skill to Walter Payton, he was comparing ability to stay healthy.

This place has been better than funny or die the past few months.

Actually, Trowa, my original point was that he needs to show us he can do the job, not talk about it. He was reacting to the talk that his play count will wear him down and potentially cause injuries...again. He used Payton's size (5'10" and 200 pds) to illustrate that injury doesn't have that much to do with his size (6' and 203 pds), so in that respect, he was comparing himself to Payton. Payton was that size and was not injury prone. He also said he's no Walter Payton. I read and understood that from the start. If he is this concerned about what the media and fan forums think about his size compared to his ability, then he already has issues. All I said was 'Show me'...I hope he proves this train of discussion wrong... I'll gladly admit being wrong...

I don't see anything wrong with his comments at all. He was only comparing his measurables to Walter's to let people know it isn't because of his size.

I thought Reggie ran tough in between the tackles on MNF. Everyone points out the run where Wilfor, took him down with arm, but let's cut the guy some slack. I've seen Wilfork bring down Ray Rice with arm. I've seen him take down LT with one arm, yet no talks about them as being unable to run in between there.

He had a run where he carried a couple of guys for a few extra yards on a run. He had the big run--his first run of the game on the misdirection. Most of his runs he didn't have a lot to work with and he shoved it up there for 2-4 yard carries. I think the more people tell him he can't do it, it affects his big play/bounce it outside ability. When he has that chance, he sticks it up there rather than bouncing out for the big play.

Larry, you certainly have the right to be miffed...

But not looking at history and only looling at the last game, Bush had very few wholes to run through. Haynesworth and Wilfork take up a lot of real estate on the DL and they let others do the tackling....still...

The team stopped rushing the ball before the middle of the 3rd quarter, being behind and all, they went on for 30 passing attempts and 1 rushing attampts till the end of the game...

After less than 2 1/2 quarters he had 38 yards on 11 attempts, against one of the biggest DL the team will face this year...

That was 4.2 yds avg. up the middle... 3.6 yds avg behind the guards... and 3.0 yds avg on the outside...

In 2010 with Ricky and Ronnie, and Polite, against NE's D, the team averaged 0.85 yds per carry up the middle and 2.8 ypc behind the guards...

We will have to see if history with Bush will repeat itself... but it all starts up front...

Good morning, I am Albert Haynesworth's right arm and I beg to differ. Bush goes down like a feather.
