The Jets had already beaten the Pats earlier in the season. While it wasn't something they were thrilled with they were almost a playoff lock at that point.

The Jets, Patriots and Bills are all off to impressive 2-0 starts and the Dolphins are off to an embarrassing 0-2 start, with a division loss and two conference losses.

Yeah, I'd say there's justification for a little panic.

You don't get wildcard spots unless you can be respectable within your own division.

 

We lost to two soon to be playoff teams.

The Bills beat up on one of the worst QBs in the league (Cassel) and got almost 40 points hung on them against the Raiders. That's pretty damn far from impressive.

Same thing w/ NY and the pathetic Jags.

And the Pats are who everyone thought they were.

 

Some will never take the orange & aqua glasses off.....we could be 1-14 and its the last week and they would be saying all we need is for this one, and that one to lose and then this one and that one to win, and then magically we are in the playoffs....

I wouldnt say its over, but its definitely in doubt. And thats coming from a Henne/Sparano homer. Well ex-Sparano homer, he hasnt had his team ready to play despite it's talent.

That's fine with me. I'm not convinced that Buffalo, who beat a team that just lost by 45 points and another that has been bad for a decade long, is going to have a magical season.

 

Those magic orange glasses must be contaminated with logic.

 

I don't see why anyone should be taking away from the impressiveness of the Bills' first two games this year. Yeah they faced the Chiefs in the first one but they housed them, and that was before Jamal Charles got hurt. This week I watched that game and saw two surprisingly good teams duking it out with one another to a game finish.

Never, absolutely never, did I expect to watch the Buffalo Bills in their first two games this year and come away this impressed. It's not something I was looking for to happen. I generally disagree with a lot of what Buffalo does in the off season, and that includes trading Lee Evans away last minute for low compensation, which is a move I've been very critical of. But the fact of the matter is that team looks damn impressive.

 

I think the competition they face does matter. The Chiefs suck. They did have a solid win today, but it was Oakland. People should not think that Buffalo is all of a sudden better than us and will likely finish better than us because of these two games.

 

Nobody says the Bills will have a magical season...but they probably won't need a magical season to finish in 3rd place. And if we continue to lose...I hope the Bills can finish ahead of the Jets. Unlikely though.

Not saying they'll definitely finish in 3rd place...but I'm a realist and it is entirely possible that they can. They were 6-10 last year, we were 7-9. Why should we be so much better???? (well we should based on more talent, but that isn't the case.)

 

I'm amazed how you can talk about QBs til your blue in the face, but you make all the mention of the KC game and not one line about how ridiculously horrible Cassel is.

No. If the QB position is that important and dictates a game that much, then it's a valid point when you consider why a team got blown out.

 

Chan Gailey tends to get production out of ****ty situations. He did it in 2001 with us. Man that offense was bad and yet they produced.
