Folks, we have ourselves a legitmate QB.. In fact, at top 15 QB at this point.. Anyone that wants to compare Colt McCoy to Henne can eat some crow.. Fix his RZ accuracy and Henne may be a top 10 QB by the end of the year.. Loving what I am seeing out of this kid and his aggression..
3 games bruh. I'm pro-Henne, but the debate isn't finished until he puts it together for a whole season.
Not for the haters. Henne is playing very well. IMO, only one bad throw and that was 3 & goal late in the 1st half. He had Bess, but maybe it was too late he just threw it away?? The one to Marshall a couple series earlier, did Henne miss him or did BM run the wrong route? We dont know? When Henne has had the time, he's been nothing but money!! 15/19 for 191 and TD!! That's very good! Don't care what anybody else says. Side note, Randy Cross is a idiot, he should just STFU! He's been wrong so many times today! Joe Hayden is awesome, Sean Smith is terrible.
He's playing very well this year except for one area: red zone. Granted, he's had a few drops in the endzone. But this is where the men are separated from the boys. It's a lot more difficult to complete passes down there. Henne's going to have to prove he can make it happen down there.
Yeah but he's had Red Zone issues for 3 years now....is he suddenly going to fix it? Can't score Touchdowns then you can't win. Dolphins have 250 yards and twice as much time of possession and are only up 3 and will probably let the Browns score now. Also not doing well on 3rd down.
We'll we're 0-2, so that says we're a bad team too! Henne is playing very well though even though we can't finish a drive yet.
What an ill-timed, thread. Yeah sure. The debate is over. If you think that, you're sadly mistaken. He's the leader of an offense that cannot score points.
He threw for 40% last week. Let's get through the season and take a step back and then make a judgment.
Fails again in at the Goal Line! Week after week same thing. I don't even get excited when we get to the goal line. I've never seen a team play so pathetic at the goal line.
Chad Henne is probably the 21st - 24th best QB in the NFL. Please don't get it twisted because he had one good game against the Patriots AWFUL pass defense.
What's the debate? You provided nothing to debate over other than he's played better than Colt McCoy. And believe me, Colt McCoy is not the gold standard of NFL quarterbacks that you want to compare your starter to. Henne's not a good QB. He had one good game against the Pat's AWFUL defense and hasn't done anything in the past 2 weeks other than throw for a 40% completion against the Texans and **** up over and over again in the red zone all day today. Henne is not a top 15 QB. He's damn sure not a top 10 QB.
If playing better than Colt McCoy makes you a top 15 QB in the NFL there's about 26 guys who are in the top 15 QBs in the NFL. I'm just saying you should expand your criteria of what constitutes a top 15 QB.
I'm not using Colt Mcoy as a comparison, I am simply bringing up Colt because certain individuals in this forum have tried to argue that Mcoy is actually better. I'm not responding to anything else from you, it's clear you have no desire to give Henne any credit and prefer failure so you can look like you know what you're taking about.
In his fourth season he still can't throw a fade to save his life...or his job. And this new-found tendency of his to pull the ball down and run is a disturbing step in the wrong direction and it will end badly. He has improved since last season, but that isn't saying much and a thread like this just invites scrutiny.
You're right. I've been a Miami Dolphins fan for 21 years and I'm rooting for the team to fail so that I can "look like (I) know what (I'm) talking about" on a message board to people I don't know and will likely never meet in real life. It couldn't be that...you know...Chad Henne isn't a good QB. Oh wait, this is thephins.com....I forgot when you disagree with someone about a player it means you actively want the team to do poorly and you're not a real fan even if your position is entirely justified with empirical and statistical evidence.
Henne is NOT a franchise QB. I'm done supporting him, done supporting Ireland/Sparano. I'm on board the SUCK FOR LUCK bandwagon. This team is going nowhere as of now. Worst team in the division, and we are one of the WORST teams in the AFC period. Henne can't score in the red zone and he can't lead us to a come from behind victory. He can't convert 3rd and long. No it's not just him, but he's part of the problem.
And there's the period at the end of the sentence...Henne throws an INT to end any chance of Miami winning the game, and it wasn't even close--he threw it right at the defender. This is why you wait until you have a greater dataset than every little success along the way to crow about anything.
I give up.... I can't take this crap anymore.... Henne surely sucked on that last drive but if the FREAKING D doesn't fold and give up a TD with under a minute, this game is over.
it's a real shame that instead of bringing in a better o-line this offseason we'll draft andrew luck instead and play him on another non-existent line, leading to many more seasons of suck
He did, but he also played scared with the game and maybe the season on the line, I hate seeing that.
cleveland did everything they could to get us to attempt a game winning field goal. with literally the entire season and possibly his career on the line, henne could not get a single yard. that seals the debate in my mind
Nope. I don't care to revise anything. To blame Henne for this loss is ridiculous, especially when your defense gives up 3rd and longs and easy TD's with under 2 minutes in the game. Could Henne have done better on the last possession? No question about it.
Last i checked we were 0-3, if you cant score touchdowns you cant win football games. Nolan, Sparano, Ireland and Henne gone please PS Daboll hasnt shown me nada he can go too.
Henne played very well. That BS call on Jason Taylor being off sides was just that: BS. The offensive lineman moved first. THAT is what kept the last Clevland drive alive
