Henne is the leader of an offense that has scored 2 touchdowns in 2 games. Does that not sound familiar to other years, with other lines, with other offensive coordinators, with other receivers? Henne is the LEADER of an offense that cannot score touchdowns! It's been that way since he was the leader! We ran the freaking wildcat to cover for his ***! What kind of rose colored glasses do you watch this guy through?

It's four years. That year of sitting on the bench after taking rep after rep after rep in every offseason camp and every week in practice - that year counts for something. The dude is in his fourth year...........and he sucks.

I'm sorry but Henne is not a legitimate QB. Spin it any way you want to. He's a solid QB. He can't lead this team to points. Terrible in the red zone. And that's the difference between wins and losses, and Henne just isn't good enough. Henne playing good means we might me able to rob some team for a 2nd/3rd round pick after we draft Luck/Barkley. That's it.

There's absolutely no justification at all that he "sucks". He's certainly uneven and inconsistent, but he's improved quite a bit.

Henne is a top 15-20 QB that at best would get to right around 10-12. For now that's good enough. He's respectable, I've seen much worse. Once Miami finds better as Pittsburgh did after Kordell Stewart then we'll replace him. He's fine for now though, but if you get the opportunity get better.

Improved from what? Heck, he showed promise the year he took over for Pennington. You couldn't find a fan that was down on Henne. But then a pattern emerged and the pattern continues til this day. Suck? Yeah, he sucks. He sucks as a STARTER in the NFL. Put him on the bench and he's a great backup. There is a difference.

So we'll get rid of Henne, get another average QB in there next year (Matt Moore maybe?), and then draft our franchise guy in 2013?

I'm not sure how you read that. No as in we'll keep going with Henne until we get our shot.

It's happened for many teams. Right now we can get Landry Jones. I would draft Landry Jones for this team and have Henne continue to start until Jones is ready.

Four tries to get one first down with the game on the line...three incompletions and a pick. Says it all.

Improved from his last several years. He's improved on his decision making, his pocket presence, his deep ball, hell his overall accuracy. Henne has improved dramatically in a lot of areas this off-season.

Because after the Steelers got rid of Stewart they put Tommy Maddox out there for a full season, and then drafted Ben Roethlisberger. They didn't go from Stewart to Big Ben.

The fact is I have been saying all along that there is a severe lack of talent throughout the Dolphins. This I blame on Ireland. Sparano does a lousy job overall. Henne is not entirely to blame for the lack of points but the fact is that he just doesn't make the plays in the fourth quarter to win games for his team. He has an NFL caliber arm, there is no doubt about that. McCoy has far less starts in the NFL than Henne and he certainly doesn't have the arm Henne does. Yet in the fourth quarter, when a QB has to step out and lead his team to victory. McCoy took his team the length of field for a TD. Henne, given excellent field position and needing only a field goal for a Dolphin victory, instead threw an interception.

The Dolphins need three major changes before the start of next season. They need a new head coach, a new GM, and a new quarterback. The talent on the teams needs a major upgrade but in the NFL today, it all starts with having a franchise QB and this Henne will never be.

Ya I remember that. I guess a more apt comparison would be Tommy to Big Ben. That's fair.

I still say get him a new O-line. He has definitely improved this year, as I can't solely blame him for these losses, unlike the past.

I think McCoy would probably do better than Henne given the same options. He's really not a plus on this team, he's got heart and toughness (A LOT). Barkley is just way more accurate, his pocket presence is better, and I think he'd be a better NFL QB. Jones looks like Colt McCoy with a little more aggressiveness.

Perhaps you missed it but the Dolphins just lost to one of the worst teams in the NFL. A team that was missing its best offensive player in Hillis and to a QB that has less than half the NFL starts of Henne. Whether this team quits or not, Sparano and Ireland need to go and a new regime needs to come in and start all over again, unfortunately.

The Browns have MUCH LESS talent on offense than the Dolphins do. And yet, McCoy still led that offense down the field and threw the winning TD pass.

I think the Dolphin fans who are defending Henne are a poison to our team.

To answer the question posed in the thread title, yes, I think the debate over Henne is finished. The guy has proven time and time again that he can not win, that he can not make the correct reads, that he can not score in the red zone, and that he can not lead this team. However I'm sure the Henne backers don't think this debate is finished.

I am sick of educating the less fortunate. This is your LAST free lesson. Why does Matt Cassell SUCK this year? When in NE he looked like a hall of famer??? In NE the line was AWESOME. In KC, not so much. 3 of our O linemen are not good enough to even START for any other teams. When Henne has less than 2 seconds to throw the ball, he isn't going to be very successful. If you actually watched the game instead of just posting your hate garbage, you would have seen the difference between Miami and Cle on the last 2 drives. We never even got CLOSE to McCoy, and he picked us apart. Henne on his last drive was IMMEDIATELY under pressure every time he dropped back. I am not sure Colombo even SAW the man he was supposed to block. How Henne completes ANY passes with that poor excuse for a line is beyond me. So please look at the game before you post.

Yeah Trowa is right, henne cannot do anything, he just flat out sucks. If we had someone else including Trowa himself at qb we would be 3-0, our defens has been spot on good, esp when the game is on the line. Hey change qbs all te ills are gone, genius, why didnt I think of that

Sorry but point is henne hasnt won games for us but why do we think it is one position? Henne has not pklayed poorly it is a combo of things, and coaching is the big issue not ONE player

Packers have a pretty mediocre offensive line, last I look Aaron Rodgers was one of the top QBs in the NFL. Pats have a patchwork offensive line with rookies and over the hill vets and Brady is still throwing for 400+ a game. Please, please, please go back and watch those last 4 plays of the game. Henne had the time to throw, he just didn't make the right decisions.

To steal a quote from you, LOL @ Fintastic. He is soooooo desperate to be right. LMAO!!!!

He didn't play that well. However the team very likely will finish between fifth and sixth worst in the league (Colts, Seahawks, Chiefs) are all probably worse. That's pretty much an indication it's Landry Jones or Henne.

You know Jeff Fisher always was able to produce with a less than talented team. Real simple HC who would really fit the strengths of this team, play an aggressive 4-3. I think he's the best choice.
