Would like to see how Henne continues this year and where we'll be at the end of the year in terms of position before we make that decision, as far as CK goes, he projected the team and coach well this offseason, and I was one who disagreed with him on those projections, he deserves respect for his accuracy thus far.
You know better than anyone , CFL is an entirely different beast though. We need to acquire talent and then coach it better. Again.
yes to all those things...You and I know Will aLLEN should of never been cut, and you know how I feel about Carey..Columbo was real bad in this game Pod..He moves terribly for a former first round draft pick, I saw him get handled on one on one situations 5 times off the first move of the defender.....Shake this nasty milkshake up..
the defense is a disaster, they cant stop the run and they still give up timing big plays like always, i' m not so sure anymore nolan is that good either, we need a new head coach and it does not matter how good henne looks this year if we suck and pick high, we need to pick one these franchise guys...we have to
Other side of the coin is will bringing in new faces on the OL lead to decreased performance? That I do not know, imo we've reached the point that there is very little downside to moving some guys, now whether Sparano sees it, that who knows? I do not see how he cannot help but see it. As for WA, have to wait and see, I was mildly surprised when WA was cut, but understood it, and we still have to wait and see if he comes into practice on Tuesday as a full go or whether old injuries have tightened up limiting him in practice and that was the issue with him in August and still is now.
It appears to me the Dolphins have always had a poor defense, taking the attitude "We'll score one more than you". It's not good enough. We're chasing the Bills, who have beaten the Pats, and the Pats and the Jets for a WC. Every game from here on in is a must win to get a WC I think.
D is improving Al, may not seem like it after the Browns pulled a GW drive yesterday, but they are, for example Langford and Starks made appearances yesterday, Wake made a bit of noise as well, the real open wound, the Secondary will firm up when Vontae Davis comes back and if Will Allen shows no ill effects from playing. And keep in mind, if we do poorly this yr, it will mean Henne was not the guy, so drafting one of those Qb's makes sense, if we see a turnaround, then Henne will have played well, either way our Qb situation will have been resolved after the season.
50% of the league has 1 win or less, some team in that pool will emerge and seize a WC, whether that is us or not remains to be seen.
the issue as a team we dont make plays when needed. we leaves points, we allow points. it isnt one person/one unit. it both sides of the ball
Chad Henne's "body of work" in the redzone from 2009 to the Cleveland game this past weekend should tell you all you need to know. He's not the answer at QB, neither in the short-term or long-term. It's that simple.
