This is true. Had we have scored more as we should have, it would have been moot.

I've banged that drum for a very long time De, Stats, mean nothing, in the NFL, W/L's are the only thing that matters.

We were in position to win after the 1st TD too.

and yet Daniel Thomas fumbled during a critical drive immediately following a drive where Henne threw a TD pass to Marshall while the offense was displaying good rhythm and momentum......

Something tells me that, if Henne had thrown 2 INTs rather than Thomas & Reggie coughing it up while the offense is either moving or in the redone, you'd be throwing massive blame at Chad for killing a drive and depleting the offense of points.

I read that his 4th quarter passer rating this year is 48.7. Anyone know what it is for his career?

So it is you. You are the one person per year that I have to explain that the movie was in the background on the boobtube on the day I signed up for a not-to-be named message board.

So I answered that one for you. Let me ask you this. Why after being banned for saying something yesterday did you come back today saying the same thing with the same demeanor? And did you have a macho feeling as you sent private messages cousing people out?

When I am asking a question - yes. Most of the time I do read every post before asking the question. So did you get the answer to your question? If not, it's answered again right before you.

At this point I don't know if you realize what you do or not. But it fairly obvious to me that you attempt to change the subject every time you don't like what is being said.

Yeah and the answer is no. "Most" of the time does not make it so but this wasn't the original question.

You can probably add the Steelers line to that list as well. I found it very comical, the look on Big Bens face, as Freeney and Mathis were running wild all night chasing him around. Ben was so rattled that while he was scrambling, he kept looking back to see where they where and not looking down field, only to get popped before making it out of bounds.

Call it a lack of creativity but I use the term between friends. It aptly describes what is done routinely here and in person I will use the term to tell a friend not to do what is described when they just need to address the issue rather than......their way around it.

I dont disagree with this, I dont disagree with anyone saying that we dont score enough, that is plainly obvious. Mving the ball w/o tds is useless other than keeping our defense off the field. My only contention is that while Henne plays a part, the offense as a whole is responsible and I myself dont think it is a simple fix by replacing the qb. I do believe and have stated many times I want us to draft a qb in rd 1 this yr one of big 3 and like Barkely alot. That is not an indictment of henne, just that when you have a chance at elite you take it. But the redzone offense is a trainwreck and replacing the qb wont wholly change that

    wow

Are people actually going to compare henne to colt mccoy? Really? Ya'll must not watch a lot of football because colt mccoy doesn't have it. Weak arm, basically has no progression in his reads...

When looking at a quarterback you look for certain things. One is the ability to make the NFL throws. The deep ins, combacks etc. This is most important because the progressions, reads and timing can all be taught. This is what is meant when people say a QB is not NFL ready and needs to ride pine until he figures it out. Take two examples. Tom brady, early in his career was a game manager with a great defense and a power run game. Gradually he learned the system and now he sits behind one of the best o lines in NFL history, throwing 40-50 balls a game. He had the same arm early in his career, he just didn't have the knowledge.

Now another example, Rex Grossman. Prob a better arm than brady but he's been in the league for how long, on good and now a talentless team and the man still has no clue whats going on in front of him and at the end of the game monday behind him. You watch his eyes and if he comes off the first look you're in trouble. Same goes for kyle boller, jamarcus russle or pick another guy with a big arm and talent who didnt make it. You can't be a reactionary thrower in the NFL, you need to anticipate who's going to be open.

With those example listed look at hennes time line. Seasons past he would make his reads and check down ALOT. Why is this? his WR's at the time were no good garbage and spare parts. You've got bess as your number one WR? Are you kidding me? Next season they add marshell and see some improvement but we all know this guy is a head case. He gets frustrated, as in the browns game, and stops playing. On top of the fact that dan henning is one of the worst play callers and offensives coaches in the game, henne had a below average year. Granted he'll have some good moments with henne like the pats game where henne can trust him to get open because of his talent and just chuck it up there for him but this guy might be more of a problem than he's worth.

I watched henne last year hit some key third and longs after a negative wildcat/screen but then we'd see a hold or a false start or another bad play call where henne comes out of the game and we run wildcat garbage. Did you ever see the pats, packers, steelers, colts or any other top offense take their QB off the field for what amounted to a blocker? Kills the flow of the game and it puts you in a bad spot if youre just gonna lose yards and it adds nothing to the play action passing game which we have done none of this year. This year we get a new offense, we actually throw the ball around but play calling inside the red zone has been HORRIBLE! Our oline is so bad at spots we have to throw fades on 4th and goal on the 1 and then some of you blame henne? Really? Also the holding calls, the false starts etc....just kill our offense. We don't have the WR talent to make up those yards every drive.

Don't blame henne. thats too easy. We need a little more talent at WR, maybe hartline can turn into a decent player, maybe gates comes around like a mike wallace type. We need marshell to either stop being a cry baby or leave. We need a weapon at TE. Basically our TE right now is one of the worst passing options in the NFL and he's not that great of a blocker. Don't care about the dallas connection tony. We need to scrap our o line. keep pouncy and long, everyone else is expendable if a valid upgrade is available.

and I didn't even dig into our problems on defense yet....Here's what SHOULD happen. Let them finish this season. Maybe we make a miracle run, maybe not but either way you find out what you have in henne because he hasnt had a fair shake with the bad coaches and lack of talent. Can you imagine if we had mark sanchez instead? how bad would that be? That dude had talent for days around him and still looks average at best.

BTW, drafting a qb in round 1 is only for rebuilding teams or teams that are already solid everywhere else. I'd rather see them go saftey or a beast oline/dline. Odrick will end up being a bust IMO. Not fast enough to be the speed rusher, not big or strong enough to be a wilfork type run clogger.

This whole thread is ridiculous. Everybody arguing back and forth.

    OL sucks

    defense sucks

    coaching sucks

    Daboll is a coaching retread

Our secondary has to be one of the worst in the NFL despite having 2 respectable corners....problem is there is only 2 and that's not enough to cover every down

Our owner is cash poor and now stories are coming out he has put the breaks on spending

Our GM's is operating with one hand tied behind his back

    We have a mediocre QB

    WE SUCK............have since Mid 90's

But hey we will keep going to the games and we will keep spending our money and Ross will keep feeding us garbage.........it has become the Miami way and it is sad

I just watched the game again and left with the following impression. The offensive line was not really that bad. John Jerry was horrible. Daniel Thomas was horrible.

I found Colombo's struggles to be the 10 yard depth of the QB that he could not cover. I wish I knew how deep those shotgun pass drops were suppose to be. I can't imagine the OT having to kickslide deeper than 6 yards to protect the passer. I mean damn! 10 yards deep? It's a perfect angle for a 9 tech to reach...........untouched.
