I'm curious to hear the responses as I have Charles, Hightower and Caddy on my team. I also have:
    Gore vs. Dal
    Bradshaw vs. St. Louis
    Marshall vs. Hou
    Harvin vs. TB.

I'm leaning towards Charles, Hightower and Marshall, but I might substitute Bradshaw in for Hightower.

What are your guys thoughts on my flex position. I am thinking of just going Greene and hoping the numbers start to jump but I'm not sure.

    Shonn Green @ JAX
    Knowshon Moreno @ CIN
    Mario Manningham @ STL
    Mike Sims-Walker @ NYG

    Charles, Hightower, Felix.

Going with Bradshaw over Hightower seems like a good move to me.

Ouch. Greene is probably the best of that bunch.

Im in a non ppr league.....

    2 RBs 2 WRs and a flex.

Right now...here is who I have as the starters.

    RB Forte
    RB Bradshaw
    WR Austin
    WR Britt
    Flex Mike Williams (TB)

    Bench
    Jones-Drew (Jets!??)
    Mike Tolbert
    Ben Tate

Question is do I put one of these guys in as a flex over Mike Williams? I hate the MJD and the one dimensional Jags offense @ Rex Ryans D....Tolbert had 3 TD's although that was a rarity, Tate??? Prolly not. HELP!

Your lineup looks fine to me. If you think Tolbert will go off, swap him for Williams in the flex.

Hmm, MJD vs. the Jets, or Fred Jackson vs. Oakland? I have Mike Tolbert as my other RB, but I think I will leave him in, as New Englands D is terrible, and I think the Chargers will score a crapload in a shootout.

Anyone see how the Oakland run D looked last week?

Minny has a terrible secondary, so Williams may be a good play. I like Tolbert again this week - he is the Red Zone feature back, and in a high scoring game like I feel SD/NE will be, I hope gets some points. May want to consider how effective Bradshaw will be, I can see that team going downhill fast, and their OL is terrible. Forte should be effective against the Saints D and he is playing for a contact.

PPR league: With my #1 TE (Marcedes Lewis) probably out, I have Ben Watson on the bench and Ed Dickson/Anthony Fasano as possible pickups on the wire. Go with Watson or roll the dice with Dickson? Looking like a touch matchup this week, so even the small things count.

Reason im worried about Tolbert is he was knicked up and his strength is running into guys like Wilfork and Haynesworth, I may still start him though. Disagree about Bradshaw as NY just started throwing to much and hopefully NY takes notice of how well Lesean Mccoy looked out of the backfield and uses Bradshaw in the same mold. Mike Williams is solid I suppose...maybe I start him over Tolbert who knows.

Denver isn't anything special but Oakland has a very underrated defense in my opinion, if I had not picked up the Lions D (at home against KC), I was considering Oakland as my second option. I know Buffalo had a great offensive game and are at home but think Oakland gets some sacks, maybe a pick, and brings the Bills offense back down to Earth. I have Oakland winning, though I could certainly be wrong. Oakland D is still a much more welcome sight than the Jets D however.

Holmes injury bothers me some, could have been a great matchup for him.

For at least a half Oakland was going make me look real smart, didn't see the game so no idea what happened besides the ending.

Even with Charles going down I still got my first win with 125 points. Big thanks to VJack for dropping 29, and my waiver wire kicker (Kasay) and weekly D (Detroit) gave me a good 35 combined.

My team is pretty banged up after just two weeks: Jamaal Charles, Felix Jones, Santonio Holmes, Malcom Floyd, Michael Crabtree, and Aaron Hernadez.

He blocked the kick that Carpenter kicked at his head, not sure about blocked passes.

You started Ryan over Henne this week, right? :wink2:

And yeah, getting the defense playing KC isn't a bad idea but think in a week or two some others in the league will wise up.

Haven't really followed Harvin, but I wouldn't touch Crabtree yet. Maybe I'm just cautious, but he's going have to put up a good game before I toss him in a starting lineup. Hasn't been healthy and believe he left first game early with pain in his foot, while being inactive for game two. Just one step away from aggravating it and sitting on the sidelines again, not to mention his QB isn't great. I'm hoping letting him ride my bench will pay off for me eventually though.

One guy is probable, four of my guys are questionable, one is out for a few weeks, and one is on IR. Blah.

    edit:

Tempted to go against my earlier advice and use Crabtree as a flex with Edwards out and playing the Bengals, hmm.

I'm the highest scoring guy in my league (12 team, non-PPR), and am 0-2. Week 1 guy had Brady, Welker and Hernandez. Week 2 guy had Vincent Jackson and Miles Austin. I'm facing the second-highest scoring guy this week, just as Romo and Felix Jones got injured, so a distinct possibility I could drop to 0-3.

Not quite sure how to right this ship, other than ride it out. I basically offered Hightower, Smith and my bench (minus Romo) for Chris Johnson and got denied. Right now I'm considering Starks and Gronkowski for Hightower and Davis.

    QB: Fitzpatrick (but Romo usually)
    RB1: McCoy
    RB2: Hightower
    WR: Calvin Johnson
    WR: S. Holmes
    TE: Davis
    Flex: Steve Smith (CAR)
    K: J. Brown
    DEF: NYJ

Bench: Romo, Felix Jones, Roy Helu, Jordy Nelson, Lance Moore

MJD and Forte are in....need one of these backs to fill in.

    Bradshaw, Tolbert, D.Thomas, B Tate.

Leaning toward Tate...but N.O has a better run D than ppl give them credit for.

    Help!?

I dunno man, Bradshaw has 44, 59 yds his first two games, Tate and Daniel Thomas both have never NOT had a 100yd game in their pro careers. Im monitoring Fosters health but im thinking Thomas may ne my second options.

    Miami or Titans D.

And do I go with Tolbert (facing pathetic Chiefs D) or Fred Jackson (hot, but that game may be a non running shootout, and the Pats have an OK run D) or BMarsh (going up against Haden).

*edit - points are equal for WR/RB per 10 yards and for scores in my league.

So what you you estimate the price on Ryan Mathews to be right now?

My potential trade partner is blessed with four good RBs, and has only one decent WR.

Here's what I have to offer in a trade

    Tim Hightower

PLUS (pick one or two, as my trade partner is weak at WR)

Santonio Holmes, Steve Smith (CAR), Jordy Nelson, Lance Moore

I am leaning towards Hightower and Holmes (the most #1 sounding receiver of the bunch). Santonio just doesn't seem to be getting the targets, even when Sanchez goes for 300+.

I have a good feeling about Steve Smith and Lance Moore, and Jordy Nelson might become a monster with an injury to Jennings or Finley.

I'm lucky I'm 2-1 considering the Foster nonsense this year. Thank god for Tom Brady and the Ravens D lol

I'm in a league where there is a big Steelers fan, it's a small 6 man league and I have Mike Wallace and she sends different combos of trades every week. Basically she is willing to part with any combo of the following players:

    Steven Jackson
    Jahvid Best
    Mario Manningham
    Brandon Lloyd
    Vernon Davis
    Nate Washington

I need help at RB because I lost Charles and have Bradshaw,Blount,Felix Jones,Starks,Ben Tate. However, she doesn't want to consider trading Ray Rice or Darren McFadden. I have Wallace and Andre Johnson and feel WR is my strong point, but Wallace has been getting me the most points every week. So I was wondering if anyone sees anything worthwhile in those players or should I just say forget it. Thanks guys.

Well you may need some help with Johnson hurt, but at the same time trading Wallace would then put you 2 down, and for what? Brandon Lloyd and Best? I don't like it. Depending on your WR bench and RB corps, I would hold out for maybe a McFadden/Lloyd for Wallace/Jones combo - doesnt sound like she would go for it, but maybe you can prey on her Steelers roots some. I wouldn't be in a hurry to make a move though unless Johnson is gone long term and you need a two for one deal like Wallace for Washington/Lloyd because you have nobody on your bench.

Right now I'm undefeated and am steam rolling this league.

    My team is...

QB: Matthew Stafford (knew he would break out, what a steal for me)
    WR: Greg Jennings
    WR: Dwayne Bowe
    WR: Wes Welker
    RB: Michael Turner
RB: Daniel Thomas (Jamal Charles was my first pick and he's on IR)
    TE: Vernon Davis
    K: empty (just dropped him)
    DEF: Pittsburgh defense

    Bench:
    Sidney Rice
    PLaxico Burress
    Jay Cutler
    Robert Meachem
    Detroit Defense

OK, so the question at hand. Welker is hot right now. Best WR in fantasy football (this isn't a ppr league either). Right now he's the #1 ranked player. I don't know if he'll keep it up. He's not a prototypical WR, which makes me feel like he's going to slow down as far as fantasy is concerned. I feel like I should strike while the iron is hot and deal him. At the same time, he's been huge for my team.

Should I try and secure a RB? This one team in my league has a couple of good ones and I want to target Ray Rice. If not Rice, then another player of that caliber. thoughts?

I would do it.. you get an upgrade at every position.
Drew Brees is putting up 5-10 more points per game than Stafford
Fred Jackson is putting up more more points than AP and AP is in strugglesville since he's the only weapon on offense.
Stevie and Nicks kinds of wash but I trust Nicks more so than Johnson.

    Hmm, I would say no.

The difference between Stafford and Brees isn't that great so far. Obviously Brees in the long term is likely to be more consistent. Stafford has started out slow in the first half lately, but has come out huge in the second half. I don't think the lions are talented enough to dominate teams so they'll be passing all day. CJ is obviously the best WR in the league and may have a shot at the TD record. Stafford (if he stays healthy) is going to put up 30TD this year.

Jackson is a good RB and is having a great year so far. However, AP is AP... He's the single most talented guy on the team. He's going to get you consistent points every week. I would be wary of this swap. You just don't trade guys like him unless you're getting a really great deal. And I don't think the deal is worth pulling the trigger on.

Nicks and Johnson are kind of a push...

would now be a good time to trade away Dwayne Bowe for Steven Jackson in a ppr league? I know in most years this would be a no-brainer, but bowe has 90+ points to Jackson's 35, and jackson while healthy may struggle in a struggling Rams offense.. BUT I really need a RB.. my starts are Mendenhall (sucking) and a rotation of Reggie Bush/Danny Woodhead..
My other WRs at this point are Megatron, Marshall, Colston, and Torrey Smith, so I think i can handle the loss of Bowe.

    thoughts?
