Here is a thread for hilarious Dolphin related photoshops. I invite and hope that those with much better skills than me will participate. Here's one I crafted in Microsoft Paint -
I might have to re-do that one later into a Four Horsemen of the Suck4Luckalypse banner, featuring the four winless teams (after this week, since either the Chiefs or Vikings are getting a win this week).
might as well wait for next week when only max 3 teams can be winless with vikings and chiefs going head to head
Vikings beat KC, KC beats us, and Indy wins one along the way. It will all work out as planned. Ummmmm.......
The guy who created the picture forgot the winless Rams. I think next week there will probably be four winless teams and I want full credit for calling them the Four Horsemen of the Suck4Luckalypse, heh. Just calling it now.
Yeah...it really is. Brilliant. Even him leaving out the Rams as the fifth 0-3 team I can understand because they're literally the one winless team remaining that it's hard to see taking Andrew Luck. Even the Chiefs or Vikings would probably do it, and then just pawn off Cassel/Ponder to highest bidders.
But could you see the Rams actually passing on him either? That is, if he continues on this trajectory? I mean, they would probably trade the pick away if they really didn't want him, but if stuck with the pick they would probably draft him and then trade him or Bradford. Luck will only be that much more valuable due to the decrease in risk caused by the rookie salary cap.
The Rams would not pass on him, they would simply trade the pick. No I don't see the Rams giving up on Sam Bradford and taking Andrew Luck. But they would have a tremendous opportunity to trade the pick because the chances are good that whoever picks #2 will covet Andrew Luck, and the fact that the #1 team is not going to take Luck would open up the bidding from all teams that want him. This time, there's no lockout either, so teams would start offering up Pro Bowl caliber players at multiple positions in all likelihood. Think about the fact that you get Andrew Luck and you don't have to pay him much more than like $6 million a year...for the next 4 or 5 years. That's sick. The trade offers will be gargantuan. A team like the Rams who have Bradford already in place (and likely a new Head Coach) would have to be thinking that they could take all those riches and under the new direction of whoever they hire really compete immediately.
Right, Bradford. Always mix his name up with Stafford for some reason... I agree. It will be hard for any team except for those as lacking at the position as teams like the Dolphins, Seahawks, Chiefs, etc. to pass up on the bounty that will be offered for that pick.
Evidently that moonman guy didn't originally create it, he pulled it off some other non-Dolphins message board and has no idea who created it. Brilliant, whoever it was.
Which brings up a question. If a GM feels as close to 100% as possible that Luck would be the next Peyton or Brady, then shouldn't that GM be willing to give up the entire draft for him? If Luck turns out that good, then its a small price to pay. If Luck sucks, then your team is screwed anyway regardless of what you gave up for him.
The funny part about this concept of giving up "an entire draft" for a player is just the simple fact that as far as the chart is concerned, depending on where you're picking, that might not be even close to enough. It's not really as big a deal as people make of it because you can always turn around and give away players like Jon Amaya for a draft pick, or something like that. Giving up an entire draft isn't going to get us Andrew Luck. You have to give up at least one Pro Bowl caliber player. At least one.
If we were in position to make a move, I would trade a Wake or one of the corners, or even Marshall along with picks for Luck
Just curious, what is considered whiney? The fact that the majority are sick of losing, underachieving, being undisciplined, poorly coached, out coached, being eternal failures since last sniff of a chance for the Super Bowl was 1992, and being irrelevant? Should people just keep wearing rose colored glasses and pretend we are winning Super Bowls? Hell, pretend we are winning games? I think most are sick of being rose colored homers. They are sick of being embarrassed by the product put out there. Sick of spending their hard earned dollars on a crappy product. As fans you have the right to show displeasure and as Miami Dolphins fans we have a lot to be displeased about. As the old saying goes....Lighten up Francis. Just cause someone isn't living in the happy world doesn't mean they are wrong or immature. They are more mature for being able to see what the issues are and point them out.
Nope you are very wrong.... I'm pissed too but these antics don't solve anything except tarnish the fanbase. People look like idiots resorting to the those type of tactics. If you feel you are wasting your money then stop spending it. I fail to see what this cause(whatever it may be will solve). Last time people wore bags we got Parcells. Now fans are protesting that. People are not only chasing their tails but embarrassing themselves in the process. If self degredation is your thing then fine but why have a thread like this that makes the fanbase look like a bunch of fools. It is ugly for the site as well and holds zero humorous value.
Real fans want what's best for their team I would imagine. And what's best for the team is landing Andrew Luck. Missing the playoffs is missing the playoffs as far as I'm concerned. Whether it's 7-9 or 2-14, makes no difference. Both seasons are equally full of suck. Only difference is one provides hope, and it's not the 7-9 season providing it. Just face it, this season is over. We are a terrible football team that will be lucky to win 4 games when all is said and done.
Now if we could just have someone embed "Dazed and Confused" playing in the background, it would be absolutely superb?
Keep the thread on topic please. If you don't like said thread, keep it moving to the next thread. Not liking a topic does not mean you get to drag said thread off topic. And for what it's worth... This looks like it's going to be a pretty miserable year so some of you may want to enjoy whatever sense of humor other boardmembers may share. As long as it doesn't violate TOS there is absolutely nothing wrong here.
Ok, back on topic. That Hunt for Wins in October is pretty damn funny. There's always this one which was in my sig forever. Notice the symbolism of Stephen Ross making Jeff Ireland his evil apprentice, while Tony Sparano is just a highly replaceable imperial officer... And then there's this one, from a long time ago... Mod edit, funny as it was it's against TOS Here's from back in the days when Ross was interviewing Harbaugh and I hoped against hope that he would hire him so that we might avert this dead feeling all of us have inside right now...
