That's why it depends on who gets the # 1 pick. If its the Dolphins, and we hire an unproven coordinator as opposed to Pete Carroll getting the # 1 pick, I think Luck goes with Seattle, and if we are the # 1 he spends another year in college. That way he gets to stay on the West Coast, be with a proven winner (in college only), etc. We could once again get really screwed.

Keep in mind, Luck is going to graduate with a degree at the end of the spring.

Keep in mind with our recent history if we draft luck he will bust. We're cursed to never have another Marino so might as well not even waste the pick on a qb

Because we have certainly spent premium picks on QB ... oh wait, no we haven't. We have settled for retreads, system QBs and second round picks all the way down.

Luck has said he would go into the draft at a media day in August I think. Could always change his mind, but he'll have a degree also. Would be better off going in the draft, getting a ton of money, then can go back to school after football if he really wants a master's. Think he'll enter the draft.

I'm more worried about the Dolphins having a chance to get Luck in the draft, but bypassing him for a RG or Safety only to draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round....

I am still angry these guys passed on Dez Bryant and instead picked Jared Odrick.

We could have had 2 very good WR's lining up on each side every Sunday.

Dolphins have toughest remaining schedule of remaining winless teams by opposing W-L records.

    MIA (.615)
    STL (.564)
    MIN (.538)
    IND (.487)
    KC (.462)

If the Fins lose vs Chargers and then again and go 0-5, we are seriously looking at a 1-2 win season.

"All Aboard"? So you guys are running a train huh? That sounds gay..... and by gay I mean happy...... b/c you guys seem really excited about this mirage of an opportunity.

Hmmmm..... 10 people so far. That's 1 less than the number of people who voted that Henne's performance would've only been "average" in the other thread.
    Coincidence? Seems like it.

Cant speak for the rest of my traveling cohorts but i am not a Henne basher nor do I think he is the reason for our 0-3 start. Frankly i think he's been one of the better players on the team this season. Its not his fault our line is one of the worst in the NFL. Its not his fault Marshall dropped 3 td passes and hes not the one who made that idiotic call to throw a fade to Hartline on the one. I mean he got sacked 5 times against Cleveland while we didnt sack McCoy once.

That being said, Andrew Luck is not your typical number one prospect. This isnt Couch, Carr or even Cam Newton or Carson Palmer. This guy is as close to "cant miss" as Peyton Manning was and before that John Elway. This guy is a pro QB playing in college and a type of prospect you see once every 15 years. This guy can turn around a franchise the same way a Manning did. Look no further than at Indy to see how important that type of QB can be. They went from super bowl contender to potentially the worst team in the league just by losing Manning.

There are a bunch of teams in this league with pretty good qbs already who would snatch this kid up in a heart beat if they could. So while i dont blame Henne for our start and personally think he's looking a lot better than expected I would have no problem sacrificing this season to get a player like Luck. If Luck wasnt in this draft i would be saying something different.

PigMuffin pretty much summed up my thoughts.
However I can't believe how many people hear continue to say that Miami drafting Luck is a "mirage" as you put it. Are you really that oblivious to how much trouble this team/franchise is in or do you just refuse to believe it?

"Yes. Based on fan forums there are already tens of thousands leaning that way and, as the regular season winds down, that number could reach the millions. It's already happening in Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Miami and, of all places, Indianapolis. Fans of the 0-3 Miami Dolphins have been out front on this one; @SuckForLuck is a Twitter handle "imploring the Miami Dolphins or the terrible NFL team of your choice to tank for the #1 overall pick."

That was a good point earlier about the SOS being the tiebreaker in the draft ordering process with teams with the same w/l records. Never understand that... don't you suck more than the team with a lower SOS %? yet you get penalized for doing so and losing the tiebreak. You know this is where the Dolphins are headed, suck4luckians....

I have no problem if we are 0 and 5 to start playin as many young players as possible...I agree with you about Luck..but there's also a few others that we will have to scout really well, this will be a critical decision.

Henne is a major part of the problem. Yet I am not worried about Henne in the future, because his future will not be with the Dolphins. He is a free agent after this season and there is no way a new coach and GM are going to risk their jobs keeping Henne as the starting QB of the Dolphins. I see Henne leaving Miami and being a back up QB for the remainder of his NFL career. The Dolphins QB of the future is now playing college football. While we all hope the QB of the future is Luck. Even if the Dolphins should somehow win enough games to screw up their chances at the first overall pick in the draft. I still see the Dolphins taking a QB with their pick in the first round.

Maybe it was the bye week. Or maybe it was all the negativity surrounding it. But I was going to change my sig.
However after the awful, disgusting and embarrassing performance last night, not only am I not disbanding the Suck for Luck Bandwagon, I am adding seats.
Surely some of you now see how drafting Andrew Luck will return the pride and relevance to this sad-sack franchise. A once proud franchise that, once upon a time, was one of the greatest franchises in not just the NFL, but in all of sports.
