I am in the Los Angeles area and our local team is the San Diego Chargers according to the local CBS affiliate. With the Dolphins / Chargers game being blacked out, not only will those of us who do not have DTV Sunday Ticket not be able to watch the game on CBS LA, those of us WITH Sunday Ticket will ALSO NOT be able to watch the game here in LA. I actually find this rather hilarious because of my thread in the club after the Browns meltdown where I stated I would not be watching anymore Dolphin games this year with Sparano as the HC. You see what happens? :shifty: BUT, if you do have Sunday Ticket you can stll watch on the MIX CHANNEL the game in the little box. Which is what I was going to do anyway.... along with four other games.... FYI guys and girls...

Ha good stuff. It's bad enough when I watch the games at work on Sundays and get incredibly cranky. Now maybe I'll be nicer to people.

Just scored 8 tickets (from people who know I live and breathe Dolphins football) so I get to go to the game. I hope it's a good game. Lots of charger fans I hang out with.

Drive out to the AZ Border and find a nice bar, it will be on out there :) Honestly, yeah that part of the Sunday ticket blows bubbles.

Same here, going to the game with some people I know from LA. I know its an old stadium out there and people mess and moan but to be honest ? I love the dam place. Best BY FAR ANYWHERE, tailgating in the entire NFL. Have never seen a big screen set up in the lot as they have out there. Just waiting in line to park the car I stay close to the concrete divider and by the time I get inside I have been given three sandwiches, as many beers as I want and nothing but happy partying smiling people. Love that place. I would kill for the Dolphins to move into the new stadium in downtown LA, The parking lot/tailgating at Sun Life is like being packed into a sardine can and someone put you on top of the stove and sprayed water on you, its horrible.

Nice... I usually go to see the games there if Miami is playing, but two small kids now and I don't think their attention span would be in it... yet... maybe next time.

You would think that the Chargers or the local station would buy the remaining tickets like in Miami and the nfl gives
extension to avoid it. The chargers got the extension last week, but not this week.

120 to 125 miles, depending on where you live. About a 2 hr drive in normal conditions. In traffic conditions, 2 weeks :)

Until Spanos gets his new stadium he could give two squats about local fans. Spanos, the owner, is a strange man. He does not want to sell his team to AEG, Roski and its been noted he would move to LA. Then he denies it then there is silence. In the end, He wants to stay in San Diego but does not want a renovated stadium, he wants a new one. Another thing people never here about is the NFL is attempting to ask any team that moves to the new stadium in LA for a 500 million dollar relocation fee to move into the downtown LA stadiium. Since that came about, or rumor of it came about, Spanos has been pressing San Diego officials for a new stadium. Its crazy.

I guess I'll be ok with NFL Game Pass in sunny SE Asia, when I get up at 4 am to watch it.

Unless there is a fooking brownout, but the night time ones usually only last 15 mins or so.

power outages, aka brownouts, are very commonplace in SE Asian countries. Some places worse than others.

Actually since NASCAR is an acronym it would ideally be written in all caps. NASCAR = Non Athletic Sport Centered Around Rednecks. :D

I remember almost two years ago to the day, sitting in the grandstands at Qualcomm, watching Kevin Burnett level Pennington, spelling the end to our season, and placing Henne as the Heir apparent to dig us out of an 0-3 hole.

I recall SanDiego fans consoling my dread, as Rivers picked us apart, and the Dolphins starred in supporting roles, as the Keystone Cops for much of that weeks highlight reel.

Though I'm convinced this Dolphins team is considerably more talented than the roster that got shell shocked that day, as fate would have it, we're performing eerily similiar, and returning with, the exact same record we had when we left, almost two years ago to the day.

I thought that game, Henne's first (?), was fairly close... until he threw that pick six to Eric Weddle. But are you saying we need to put Chad Pennington in again to course correct the space / time continuum? (enter crazy guy screaming "we need to go back to Chad... we need to go back to Chad!!").... :shifty:

redzone is a good alternative. there are always fewer games at 4 so you can probably see a good chunk of the game anyway. plus, you will probably miss most of real frustrating parts of the game lol

I hope so. I'm at Fort Campbell, Ky. And although the Dolphins piss me off weekly, I still want to see the game. Did I say weekly? I meant annually.
