Well, darn, 3 good young players will miss the game, I'd guess: -JT -Slaton -Carroll or Will Allen fills in for them Nice.
Could happen, especially with their mind boggling commitment to Colombo and Jones. But then again, Henne converts red zone chances, we blow them out of their own building.
That's highly doubtful. I mean, looks as though they will just be without Gates, but they are starting to get used to him being out 4-5 games a year. Randy McMichael steps in and they don't miss too much of a beat. Not to mention, was the buffalo game a few years back the last blowout win? I'm having a hard time remembering. Oakland last year I guess, but I dont consider that a full blown "NE" blowout...
So far we are what, 4 of 20 in the redzone or something poor like that? We score TD's on more then 50% of our possessions in the RZ, we blow them out of their building.
That'd be nice but I'd be happy with a 3-0 win in overtime. Just gimme a victory. All this suck for Luck crap is literally for losers.
choo choo!!!!!!!!! Sparno is building in excuses.. How could I win with 4 starters out... don't fire me..
It's cool, we have Steve Slaton. Our pro scouting department will save the day again. But seriously, Sparano has never given Hilliard a serious workload, so it's impossible to say how good or bad he is. The fact that they play him as a fullback means they think he needs to get on the field somehow.
McMichael averages about 2 catches and 35 yards a game over the last few years in games Gates has missed. They miss Gates a lot and Rivers numbers this year back that up. I digress though 0-4 here we come. SD will win imo but Im not so sure about that 7 point line as we typically cover lines like that the last few years though clearly we are in worse shape now then we have been
Gates being out is a big deal. But Daniel Thomas, Vontae Davis and Koa Misi being out is a bigger deal. The Dolphins are on the point of an implosion where the players clearly play as if they have no faith in themselves, their coaches, or the season. The Chargers are a little frustrated because they've yet to really get their passing game going the way they know they can. There's a reason IMO why odds makers started this one out with a big line at -9 for the Chargers. The public have bet that down...but I don't think the public are as smart as Vegas oddsmakers on this one.
I would have drafted Thomas, you would have drafted him, smart successful Personnel people who have two eyes would have drafted Thomas. But these clowns.....? Nah, he's only 5'-10". He had FIVE picks as a rookie. We had a surplus of Dlinemen & we still don't have a young reliable OLB opposite Wake. The team is also no better at FS than before the 2010 draft.
Could be though, the Chargers love to toss to the running backs, Koa is more athletic then JT and could do a better job covering them.
That's true, but JT can usually read screens pretty well, but if we need JT to cover out in the flats, then we're screwed. LB/DE's can't cover RB's anyway, so either way we're screwed.
