Anybody that wants to root for this team the rest of the year is fooling nobody but themselves. This team has quit on the coach and it all starts with ross going after harbaugh.
I really think this team has a real shot at the first pick in the draft.I would also not be against trading anybody on this roster with the exception of long, pouncey, and thats about it.

I'm still rooting for this team even if we don't have a chance. It's in my blood.

I'm also rooting for Sparano to be fired. He can take Nolan with him as well.

Season may not be over but I know one thing this team can still do. That is to: eat **** and die.

    1. Rooting for your favorite team is foolish? Ha.

    2. They aren't quitting, they just suck.

I don't think they quit, I just think they're not as good as I thought. The quitting theory does allow me to avoid admitting I was wrong though :hi5:.

I can't believe, on October 1st, the best thing we have to look forward to is the draft in the spring. And whether the coach will be fired.

We'll eek out a few, I guess. I've never felt so apathetic toward the Dolphins in my life.

The only thing that can salvage the year is beating the Jets twice. That always brings a smile to my face.

0-4...and 0-4 in the afc??? nahhhhhhh.

seriously, we are a bad team in a bad league. its embarrassing. the level of play is just weak. soft games by soft teams. maybe it was the lockout, but the nfl is weak this year.

Season was over before it started because of who's coaching the team, and who's quarterbacking it.

I'll still root for the fins every week. I'll still be upset and pissed when we lose.

But yes. The season is more or less over. 2 weeks to stew and then Monday night embarassment at the meadowlands

In this one they did, I suspect they knew the Defensive gameplan was not going to work.

If the players quit after 4 games, then I have no problem letting Tony go. I would also not go with Nolan as interim, his D is lawful.

I agree, I don't think the Dolphins quit. The team just doesn't have enough talent to win in the NFL at this time. Ireland has done a terrible job drafting and selecting players in free agency. We all know that Sparano will be gone after the season, if not sooner. I just hope Ross is smart enough to realize that Ireland must go too.

    Fair enough.

I don't think it works that way on a team with 50+ players though. Some guys may be be going through the motions but that's the case on just about every team. Some are playing for contracts, some for personal pride, job security, etc. It's a mixed bag IMO.

I was looking for signs of quit-ness today and I haven't watched enough to point out anyone in particular but the jog/loaf fest between Bell, Smith & Jones on the VJax TD was embarrassing.

Team has plenty of talent. They quit flat out. Dansby and Burnett on the Dolphins compared to Dansby and Burnett outside of here are night and day.

This is my plan,i want them to have the worst record in football because i would give my left nut for andrew luck. The problem i had was if i watch them i can't bring myself to root against them.Today i didn't watch so i wasn't upset if they lost. The end result is we are 1 step closer to andrew luck and i am not in a bad mood because they lost.

Well, when players toss in the towel, it is typically due to 2 things:

-they do not believe their teammates are good enough to be on the field
-they do not believe the Staff has put them in places to succeed.

I suspect the team "thinks" Jones should not be playing FS, I suspect they also think the Staff is playing favorites.

Well, all I do is see if the young players show me anything, it keeps the games interesting, but the incoming Staff may not like them.

I don't believe they quit, they halve players going half speed...yes...

Maybe we really don't have the talent in the secondary...at least it has not shown up consistantly over the last 3 years... don't care if its VD or SS, or YB, Jones, Sapp, G. Wison, Caroll, or any DB who has been playing for this secondary since 2008...

Most of these players show potential and have shown it, but for the most part, when they are around the receivers they are there to try to make the tackles, and they still miss quite a few...

This is going to be a tough year for sports at least for me.

The dolphins are horrible to watch.
My dodgers are in bk because of McBankrupt.
My Lakers well hell they might no even see the damn nba courts.
My last hope is the Kings in hockey. Never really followed a entire season but that's my last hope of being a fan this year. If not the i guess I'll have to talk to my wife.

The definition of talent is, "natural endowment or ability of a superior quality'. I see nothing of superior quality on this team to be able to call this a talented team. Unless of course it is their superior ability to lose game after game. That is the only talent the players on the Dolphins have shown during this season.
