So far I have mainly heard the names Gruden Cowher and Fisher. But what if we dont get either of those 3? What if we get the next up and coming coordinator or assistant coach? Or what if a really good coach gets canned unexpectedly, someone who has built a proven winner, yet hasnt gotten his team past that hump for over a decade. Someone who knows QBs. Someone who slightly resembles a walrus. Someone whose team has yet to live up to all the "dream team" hype. Someone who has recieved alot of unfair criticism from his fanbase. Would Andy Reid be canned if the Eagles do not win the SB? Thats what this team was bulit for and many people picked them to win it all. And if he is fired you bet your *** that I would love it if he coached the Dolphins. So who are your sleeper HCs?
Tony Sparano. Tony is our coach and deserves more time to put this thing together. He has given us a chance to win every game since he came here. Unfortunately for him he was Tuna's pick, with Tuna's system. Sparano has abandoned that in favor of bringing in Daboll and Nolan. It takes time fellas. 3 games is not even close. No one can argue our rooster is not better either. We were 1-15 before Sparano's arrival. Went 7-9 our first year, 11-5 with the wild cat and 7-9 the following year after. Now we are 0-3 coming off a non existent preseason and training camp, etc. The wild cat as much as it was fun was a curse. We are still a rebuilding team and I don't care what coach you bring it it will take a total of 8-10 years of consistency to bring this team back to it's glory. Consistency revolves around the same regime tearing apart the rooster and rebuilding it over a 5/6 year period, implementing systems(now on week 3) and building respectability. If we now change our coach again we reset the 8/10 yr clock and regress 4 more years again!!
Andy Reid is not going to be fired because the media seized on and blew out of proportion a Vince Young quote. Besides, Howie Roseman made the big splashes in free agency, not Andy Reid.
Andy Reid will not be fired because the owner understand the importance of a consistent regime. Consistency breeds winners!!!! Just like running the football. The teams that are consistent......win
The best option is Eric Cartman but, my thread on him was moved to the Rant portion of the forum. So, discussion, debate, and laughs on his hiring will unfortunately be greatly diminished, as disappointing as this may be.
Just to correct you, Sparano's first season we went 11-5, remember? Worst to First? 2008: 11-5 2009: 7-9 2010: 7-9
I've already made it known who I want as our head coach should Sparano get fired. I WANT MARTY BALL IN MIAMI. In Lieu of that, I somehow have the feeling the Dallas Defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan might make a good head coach. He definitely has the credentials. The only question though, would he end up like his father? A GREAT defensive coordinator but not a good head coach.
Seriously though, Tony Dungy. They just made a joke about it on football night in america. Tony said "not yet" when Dan Patrick made a joke about not getting a call from a 954 area code. Please bring Tony in, if he would accept.
Lol at an 8/10 year clock. Yea, it really takes 8/10 years when you fire a god awful head coach for a good one. Some people...
I honestly think the game is passing him by. That and I don't want to watch his holiness try to survive in South Beach.
Or he understands that good coaches breed winners, not consistency. And Andy Reid is a very good coach. Teams who consistently hire inept coaches like Sparano, consistently lose.
Marty Schottenheimer...The only reason i would see him not coming here would be because his son is a Jets coach. But on the other hand if you could get Marty you could easily get brian as a coach. He always had a top 5 AFC team in the nfl. He is currently coaching college
