Burnett: utterly unproductive, he has come to Miami, and cannot run, he is Dobbins redux

    Replace him with Marvin Mitchell

Reshad Jones: garbage, poor play recognition, poor angles, no plays, he is what I'd call a "root cause" problem

    Replace him with Chris Clemons

Brandon Marshall: 6 drops, a "root cause" problem player, if you cannot rely on him down the field, cannot rely on him on 3rd downs, and cannot rely on him in the end zone, what is he doing on the field in the first place.

Replace him with: Clyde Gates, meaning shift Bline to his job, insert Gates.

Devone Bess: that's right, I love the little guy, he has forgotten how to pick up first downs

    Replace him with: Reggie Bush

Nolan carroll: this one solves itself when VD comes back.

I'd probably run the ball more as well, I think Hilliard showed some nice things today, and I'd prefer Thomas/Slaton/Lexxy in the Rb rotation over having Bush in there.

I'm not a fan of Colombo, but thought he had his best game today, and Pouncey going down and Garner playing C for one snap sort of showed why making Garner a starter is not an optimal solution.

    Thoughts? Anyone else?

Dansby: Not even close to the playmaker that he was supposed to be. Heck, I would happy with just a solid LB.

Thing with Dansby is, he is playing with injury, and he is not as easily replaceable as Burnett.

True, he would be hard to replace with someone better at this point but I thought he was way overrated when we signed him.

none of our LBs can form tackle worth a crap. I lost count of how many arm tackles the RBs broke on these bums.

    So?

I'd prefer to have Wr's who have a competency, and can be relied on, over the wildly inconsistent, and root cause problem, Brandon Marshall.

I'd happily take Greg Camarillo over Marshall at this point, if they want to use BM as a decoy, I'm fine with that as well, under no circumstances is Marshall to be as featured as he has been over the first 4 games.

Reshad Jones deserves to be benched for the way he gave up on the long TD to Jackson. He clearly pulled up once he saw how wide open VJax was and only made an attempt to chase him down once he saw he had to dive to make the catch. His subsequent tackle attempt after Jackson got back up was so incredibly half-assed as well.

That was the trifecta of FAIL, YB and SS24 tried to jump the route at the same time, VJax simply split them and took it downfield.

RJ just put the "L" in FAIL on that one

Agree on Jones, that is a no brainer, and a bit of a head scratcher considering how bad Jones is, and Clemons was on SP today.

Don't agree on Brandon, sure he has had some drops, but benching him seems kind of silly. If anything, I would play more 4 WR to get Clyde on field more.

Not sure I agree Burnett either, not to say he is playing good, but he is four games into playing on a new defense with no training camp. Think we have to give him time.

What needs to be done with this entire team is exactly what is going to happen after this season is over. It is going to be blown up once again. The new GM is going to recognize that there is very little talent on this team. Unfortunately we are probably looking at another three to four year rebuilding job. Ireland has done such a terrible job assembling talent on the roster, there is no other choice. It would not surprise me in the least if three years from now, 90% of the roster are players who are not on the Dolphins today.

You sort of have to bench him, or at a minimal level, de-emphasize him, the message HAS to be sent if you do not play well, you do not play.

The defenses problem has not only been the players but Nolan, he has made no adjustments, we have been getting killed by TE's (no changes!)

Yes the offense has had some problems, but we could be easily 3-1 with a little effort of defense.

Not disagreeing but Bell and Smith were jogging as well. And they were the ones actually responsible for covering Jackson on the play.

We're getting beat purely by speed. It's safe to say more than 70% of our players are not in the physical condition required to play on gamedays, and that's on the coaching staff. We have two weeks, to get in shape and to get ready for the ****ing Jets. If these people are going on vacation this week, there will be more injuries on that game against the Jets.

I mean this Bye week should be treated as an OTA. Are we really going to ride the season out at our current condition? We have guys falling on the ground almost every other play.

Because he is NOT the best player, that would go to Hartline.

BM is living off of what he did in Denver Aqua.

    Another guy..

Kendall Langford: massively disappointed in his play, he went from consistently good to poor this yr

    Replacement: Olshansky or Merling

Id replace the entire team and the coaching staff save Langford, Starks, McD, Hartline, Thomas, Pouncey, Wake, Bess, Long, Fasano, VD, Misi, Dansby. Whoever coaches next has exactly 13 players on this roster. Seriously, everyone else pretty much bites. Its week 4 and I cant wait for this season to be done already. Its gonna be a long ride. :(

Everything he's done in his career compared to everything Hartline's done in his. And yes, that does include this season, too.

Brandon Marshall is the best receiver we have.

Not for me, this is when the season becomes interesting as I no longer have expectations for anything.

I think like a GM/Fan, or try to, I want to see what adjustments the staff makes in player personnel, I want to see some things.

For example, was glad Slaton played, thought he did okay.

I also want to see if Sparano can rediscover his balls, there have been some situations where he just has missed the flow of the game in making decisions, for example the 4th and 2 punt, if he thought the D would hold, that is a huge mistake, he has not shown that he integrates what is likely to happen on the field, with his decision making process.

He'll have 2 weeks to re approach it.

I think the problem with BM is he is an emotional time bomb. Even when he is playing it is only a matter of time. To bench him would be like pulling the pin on a hand grenade. If this is the approach TS takes they might as well shop him around and see what they would be able to get for him. If Miami can get back what they gave for him I say "do it."

4 dropped TDs and another dropped 1st down on a 3rd down play is as good as a turnover. His play is killing the team.

Didn't contribute a single yard on the 92 yard TD drive today. Didn't contribute a single yard to Miami's TD drive last week.

Yea, he's struggling. Doesn't mean he's not the best and should be benched. The great players get through stretches like this and perform, which I expect Brandon Marshall to do.

I am not worried about BM's feelings. Don't know if you have ever been around someone with BPD. When someone with BPD is in a bad mood they make sure EVERYONE around them knows about it and have a wonderful ability to bring NEGATIVITY to the entire group/team...cancer!

I'd keep Bess, dont have any problems with him.
Bench Sean Smith, start WA and VD
Start Tony McD when he gets healthy, the DL is just as bad as the OL
Play Garner at RG, move Carey back to RT and shoot Columbo.
When DT gets healthy, move Bush to the 3rd down back and stop running him in-between the tackles.
    Put Bush on punt returns

4 TDs in 18 games. More dropped TDs than actual TDs. How long of a stretch do most great players usually go through before performing?

In the Red Zone, the balls weren't going his way. We were throwing fades to Hartline. And when it was, Henne wasn't the most accurate passer.

I'll give you this season. He has been struggling, but he'll play through the drops and produce, imo.

You must have missed the part where he has dropped 3 TD passes in the end zone this year and all he had to do was make the catch on his way to the end zone today.

No, you simply must create a sense of accountability, if he is not getting it done, then sit him until he shows that he is ready to play again.

4 games of "oh, you'll get'm next time"?

If Sparano has any hope of salvaging this season, this will happen, if he retains the status quo then we will be lucky to go 4-12.

Basically, it is sink or swim time, lite some fires under the 10 million dollar per yr Wr's azz, and a couple of guys on Defense as well.

Padre and Adam, ou both are 100% spot on regarding Marshall. He's garbage...straight up garbage! In the endzone, no on around him for miles (figuratively speaking), Henne hits him dead square in his chest...and he DROPS the ball..not once...not twice but three times. That must've been Henne's fault for thorwing him such an easy ball to catch. He had two drops yesterday I recall in which they were easy routine catches...and dropped them.

You both are right...BENCH him. I do't care about his bpd, ppd, ekg....whatever the hell it is he has. He is a professional football player in the National Football League. He's being paid millions to do a job and if he can't do his job, you bring in someone who will.

That's the problem with this team and it starts from the top down. Ross isn't in Ireland's azz...Ireland isn't in Sparano's azz...Sparano isn't in the coaches' azzez and the coaches surely aren't is the players' azzes. They are a bunch of undisciplined rich whining cry babies who act like this is the first time they've ever played this game before.
