Reminds me of the scene in Moneyball where Jeremy Giambi is partying in the clubhouse while the A's were stinking it up.

I hope Jeff Ireland doesn't throw a bat like Billy Beane did.

Oh well.. guy just went back to his home town with his friends and family, what did you expect him to do? Just take off when he HAS 4 days off? He can do what he wants.

The nerve of a working man going out or spending time with old friends when he's back in town and has a bye week coming up. :shifty:

Honestly, you can say it's not a big deal, but it just goes to show ..... Winning is not his priority in life and it shows. Bad signing & horrible pick up.

Yup, it definitely shows.... especially when he's routinely on the practice field etc longer than anyone else trying to better himself. What a bum! lol

It's not enough to have an outstanding work ethic but he also has to devote every second of his season to football?

There on a bye week this is the best time for them to go drinking honestly not like it matters anyways seasons already over. Still amazed we only used bush properly vs the pats why don't we use rb screens etc like every other team in the nfl.

Normally I'd agree with GRT8, not on this one, Bush is out west during the season with the only bye week on the calendar, no practice until tomorrow, and he has not missed assignments or what have you, where is the trespass?

I hear ya, but on the other hand if I sucked that bad at my job I'd probably be drinking my woes away too.

Honestly though, thru all the reports, all we've been hearing all thru camp was how rocked up Reggie is (you can see it) and how he's staying consistently after every practice to work on everything he needs to do to be a featured guy. During the games and during practices, he beats himself up hard when he makes even the slightest mistake. I don't know that motivation or work ethic are his problem. I think talent is his problem. Not all guys that are quick and agile are good football players.

What a POS article. He was having a Corona at 10 p.m. The nerve! Notice how, due to the fact that his actual behavior wasn't all that exciting, they have to dress up everything else. Thus, you have go-go dancers in body paint dancing their faces off. Might as well have added "TO THE EXTREME!!!" And glowsticks! Holy **** there were glowsticks! Oh smack!

It was a West Coast trip. He went to school in L.A. I'd be out hanging with friends and having beers too. If I were a millionaire, I might even go to a fancy club to do it. The only thing I wouldn't do is drink a ****ty beer like Corona. But hey, I guess it's better than Landshark.

Honestly this whole team could have used a drink and probably some clubbing. May have loosened them up. They're playing too tense out there, but oh well.

They did. All of them. At least, they tried anyway. Nolan Carroll was said to have tried to tackle a stripper. He missed and was taken out of the club. Tony Sparano got him back in though.

I believe that Bush and JT should take the entire team, including coaches, out for a LOT of drinks before playing the Jets. I would love to see them play with a drunken nasty attitude. It has to be better than what we have seen.

This wasn't a big deal until glowsticks were mentioned. If images surface with Reggie wearing any type of glowsticks, I believe it is grounds to cut him immediately.

Sure, most elite athletes will stew for awhile after a loss.

This case, 14 days or so until the next game, he was in his home town, flying back to Miami, then back out to California to visit family or friends would make little sense when he was there already.

He wasn't making it rain or what have you, and today was an off day, so what would be the point?

I can see the attitude angle, but think it is a bit iffy, for example what would he be doing today anyway? Daboll and Sparano know if Henne will play or not, if it is Moore then they will have to design stuff for him to put in tomorrow, if Henne, then it wouldn't make much difference as the same packages will be run.

I know lots of athletes that go out after a game win or lose, what's the big deal?

Define partying ... I have seen world class athletes having drinks in public after a loss , and been there , and then watched as they won the next game in the series that gave them Stan`s cup.

Doing coke, drugs or being blind drunk is one thing , having multiple drinks till all hours when you have to practice or play the next day is one thing , having a couple drinks on an off night with no commitment for the next day isn`t at all on those levels , imo .

From everything he has shown while in Miami , he is working as hard as anyone and doesn`t have to apologize for his preparedness . The lack of results doesn`t have anything to do with a lack of effort or having a couple beers to unwind . Maybe the focus should be on the coach and GM , who CLEARLY haven`t shown they are about to win anytime soon. Just my opinion.

Last night Ed Reed was being interviewed post game on NBC. Derrick Mason comes up and jokes with him, and then they talk about hurrying up so him and Mason could go eat at Ruth's Chris.

You think Mason isn't committed with the Jets? He is joking around with his ex teammates after the game and going out to dinner/party with them....and the Jets got their asses kicked.

Bush was back home and didn't have to be back in Miami until late tonight or tomorrow. Non-issue. Players go out all the time.
