1-15, 0-16, whatever. Like I said in another thread, moral victories are for losers. We're complete garbage and the worst team in the league either way you look at it.

And that's great. But most of us know that isn't happening, and are taking the realistic approach to the rest of the season.

Never. Nothing erases 0-16 from the history books, regardless of whether some other useless team got there first.

I'd rather we endured more seasons 0f 7-9, 6-10 or worse and clawed our way back to greatness the hard way. 0-16 is too high a price to pay, even for Andrew Luck.

I don't like mentioning this, but the last iconic quarterback we had didn't get us a Super Bowl either. The problems in this team need to be addressed top to bottom and a No.1 QB pick isn't going to suddenly solve them all.

without doubt i am sick of a franchise going nowhere... if we can get luck and the top pick in every round it is absolutely worth it!!

Both 2011 Super Bowl teams (if not for a blown call vs Pitt).

It is not realistic to "knowingly choose" to go 0-16.

If I am going to play some football god, I am going to have the Dolphins win instead of using my super powers for evil.

Wishing you end up with the #1 pick, and wishing you go 0-16 are two totally different mindsets.

I don't believe in super powers and football gods. We're winning no more than 4 games, and I'm a positive person. So I'll take the silver lining in it than spend my time pouting over it. Besides, this pathetic franchise has made me immune to losing. At one time I would throw tantrums when **** went bad, now, I laugh, or just shrug it off and go do something productive with my life.

Haha...now wouldn't that be something. Stay another year in school to keep from going to a team that was 0-16 and an OL that couldn't guarantee he would survive past his rookie season.

Could still lose out the #1 pick to another team that has an 0-16 record with a weaker SOS...Miami's SOS looks to be pretty strong. Rams may not win a game this year.

Dare to Dream...Andrew Luck, the Miami Dolphins QB

Andrew Luck Summary: Andrew Luck is the most complete quarterback prospect since Peyton Manning in 1998. Luck has the scrambling ability also. Unless Luck’s production declines significantly or another rival can best him its hard not to crown him the top pick at this point. Andrew Luck already stated that this is his final season at Stanford. Luck shocked the nation returning to school in 2011 when he was a clear cut lock to go #1 overall to Carolina.

This year is lost..all we have left is hope for what could be...

Actually, I just thought of something inevitable with having the #1 pick each round....can you imagine all the threads with, "we picked so and so, and we could have selected so and so "who was still on the board", etc, etc, etc"....welcome to the future of THEPHINS thread postings in a few seasons.

    Oh the humanity!

If Miami gets the #1 pick and Luck has declared, this place will crash on Draft Day.

Considering winless has only happened to 2 teams in the entire history of the NFL it's kind of amazing any of you actually think that's what it's going to take.

Regardless, if we ended up with say the 3rd overall pick I guess were doomed and might as well give up all our picks.

With the #1 pick overall of the 2012 Draft, the Miami Dolphins select.... Matt Kahlil, USC, tackle.

I am confused, is this a debate that we shouldn't draft Luck at #1 if we have it or a at least a 1st round QB if we have a high pick. Or are some saying we should just stick it out with Henne and continue drafting OL, DL, DBs until we get it right? It would seem to me that our own teams history is proof that the best chance to get a franchise QB is in the 1st round. You can say what you want about Bob Griese only being good because of his weapons but I actually saw him play and he was a great QB. You don't make it to the Pro Bowl 8 times as voted by your peers just because your team was good and you made it there on their play.

Hahaha oh man that would be depressing. They might as well move to Marlins Ballpark if they did that, because they'd struggle to even fill that 37,000 seat stadium. Or give us both the London games as home games. And maybe add one in Tokyo.

    Welcome to the club:

    http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports...mi-dolphins-best-bet-might-be-to-1893053.html

But first, I'm kneeling to ask your forgiveness. Just two weeks back, I was among the many mocking you. How silly did you seem, targeting the 2012 draft with your "Suck for Luck" slogan, just moments after the 2011 season had opened its eyes?

Didn't you recognize the brilliance of running Reggie Bush between the tackles, or throwing fades to Brian Hartline, or signing Dallas discards? Didn't you know that Brandon Marshall, for all he makes, couldn't possibly drop passes squarely striking his hands?

There was no chance the Dolphins could finish with the NFL's worst record, and get a chance to draft the premier quarterback prospect since John Elway in 1983 and Peyton Manning in '98.

And really, who could blame any Dolphins fan for feeling that way? This franchise hasn't made the AFC Championship Game since January 1993, has started 14 quarterbacks since Dan Marino retired, and hasn't even timed its terrible years right. The Dolphins picked second in 2005, when Aaron Rodgers was available. But the Dolphins, like most of the NFL, didn't realize what he would become (he was chosen 24th), so they took Ronnie Brown, who distinguished himself as an Eagle on Sunday by throwing the ball backwards at the opposing 1. In 2008, Miami could have taken Matt Ryan over Jake Long, but Ryan didn't look like a lock like Luck.

This isn't Madden. That team isn't trading the #1 pick even for the #2 pick. So, give me 0-16 I guess. Lions fans could give 2 ****s about going 0-16, they're on the right path because they drafted a stud QB with the 1st pick. I wouldn't give a **** either. No moral victories (or losses in this case) for me.

If we can go 0-16 and still not have the top pick, we'll get the 2nd pick, get laughed at by the team with the 1st pick when inquiring about a trade, and take Matt Barkley. No biggie.
