He's not getting it done, clearly. Either that or Ryan's only going to require his **** offensive line to run block.
I do not know what to make of it tbh, I'm surprised they went away from it for a start, now I'm not surprised that they are trying to go back to it.
Well, I never liked Greene's game tbh, and they have a good rook Rb in Bilal Powell, but Greene is keeping him off of the field. I think losing Woody has hurt them more then they realized, add in Ducasse has not made the jump to the NFL well and they have issues either way.
Depends, if we have VD back, and Clemons for Jones, and WA for Carroll in the nickel, we should be much improved.
"Ground and pound is back!" Sure is...their o-line is like ground beef, and defenses will pound them.
That is the canary in the coal mine, if we open MNF with #20 as the starter, we are screwed and will be lucky to win 4 games. If CC is out there, we know Sparano is serious.
sounds like he is either talking about his wife's feet again, or Hardy's has a new double beef burger on the menu!
Shon Greene is this year's LaMont Jordan. Green backed up LT and looked good in spot duty. LaMont Jordan backed up Curtis Martin and looked good in spot duty. However, when these big guys were supposed to be "the man", they couldn't get it done. Also, the jets' unbelievable luck with o-line health has run out. This is what happens when you manage the cap like the jets do: your starters are great, but your backups are garbage.
Its funny that you said that, I was just having that same exact converstion with a Jets fan and thats the point he just made. Give me some depth he said.
Well, who couldn't see it coming though? They were paper thing to begin with, they draft poorly, they do not develop players.
TBH, we're not relying on LT. We're relying on Green and he CLEARLY cannot get the job done. I know you guys used to ***** about your old OC but there is absolutely no coach of any kind that has the ******ation of Brian Schottenheimer. I still have hope, but the Jets will NEVER go anywhere with him calling the plays.
It's not always the OC. Sanchez is awful, Greene is living off a couple playoff performances, and your OL is terrible. Get a new OC, Sanchez will will still be awful, Greene will still be living off a couple playoff games, and your OL will still be terrible.
Schottie is not really the problem with the NYJ, imo, it is 3 yrs of poor drafts coupled with guys who probably are a bit long in the tooth and injuries. Running the roster right up to the cap to sign guys means you have to find cheap guys who can come in and play, but 31 other GM's are doing the same thing.
I think he is right now. Anyone see Ronnie fumble the ball at the one...by throwing it backwards? He got confused and thought it was the wildcat maybe... Either way it's not saying much for both of them! I like Ronnie though, he had some good years.
Completely agree on all acounts. However, I don't think Sanchez is as bad as people say he is. I honestly don't remember him being in a worse situation than he was put on in Sunday Night. I don't remember him attempting a pass for more than 15 yards. Of course defenses are going to tighten up. Doesn't help when our OL also gives him no more than 3 seconds to pass.
TBH, that was the first time I've seen the Nacho look scared on the football field, he sort of looked like the stage was to big for him. That had not happened before.
Shonn Greene: 51 att, 157 yds, 3.1 ypc Ronnie Brown: 13 att, 38 yds, 2.9 ypc. Seems pretty effin close to me. They BOTH suck. Shut up now.
The dumbass got a handoff and tried throwing the ball. I guess he started missing his days in Miami being the only weapon on the team.
We draft well, we just trade too many draft picks away and now its catching up to us. Our history is bad at drafting, but not since this regime took over. Now the Dolphins on the other hand...
I don't think they should have ever gone away from it since that's really what their philosophy seems to be all about since Ryan came in. Wonder if Tom Moore had any influence in the ratio change. However, I think they still have issues. The OL needs to do better, and honestly, I think they need some more quality backs. Do you realize how biased you are?
