With Henne out, and Sage Rosenfels signed, make your prediction for our draft position.
Predict before our next game (10/17 @ Jets).

In 3 months, we'll see who is right.

    My Guess: 3rd

I'm afraid two of the following will equal or out-suck us when season's done:
    Seattle, Minnesota, Denver, Jax, KC

Keep in mind, our Strength of Schedule (being so tough) hurts us in tie-breakers with most teams.

Only 2 games I can even imagine winning his season are KC & Denver, I have to think even those teams won't be as bad as 2-14. So I choose 1st.

I hope we pick 1st. I know, it is wishful thinking, but I am trying to think positive. We could fill a lot of needs (QB, OL, Safety, LB, TE) picking 1st in each round.

We play the Bills, Pats, and Jets the last three weeks of the year. If we are in contention for the #1 pick, I could see those teams throwing the games to prevent us from getting the #1 pick.

I agree! Unless everything that has happen to us since Dan Marino has led up to this point. Maybe there is a reason we went 1-15 passed up on Matt Ryan and went 11-5 with high hopes only to be back to the 1-15 team we were in 2007. Maybe it was in the football gods plan all a long. Maybe that is why we passed up on Drew Brees for culpepper. Maybe there is a reason we drafted Ted Ginn jr. It may be all worth it.

Could you imagine the outrage if they selected yet another defensive end? I wouldn't even be upset, I'd just laugh...until I die of laughter.

Of those teams Denver and KC scare me the most.
Seattle has enough winnable games that they should get to 3-4 wins. Maybe even 5.
Minnesota has enough talent to pick up at least 3 wins.
Jacksonville will only get better the more playing time Gabbert gets. They already have 1 win, surely they can pick up 2 more.
Denver and KC scare the crap out of me, as does St. Louis, although they should be able to pick up 2-3 home wins in the division.
All we really have to do is lose to both Denver and KC and we will be fine.

Only the Miami Dolphins could find a way to have a selection at the worst spot in the draft year in and year out.

No...if that were the case....we would get the first pick...and Luck would trip on his way to the podium and suffer a career ending surgery.....

    Just sayin...

Or take a QB not named Andrew Luck? That's what I'm worried about... oh the humanity.

As far as the original post goes. I feel like we're a better team than Seattle, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and Kansas City. However I feel like their schedules are easier than ours (we face the Patriots and Jets twice and the Bills aren't slouches either). I think we'll end up with the #1 pick because of that. I predict a 2-14 season... maybe 3-13.

Sorry optimistic fans, I just can't be optimistic anymore with Henne out of the year.

    You see how this works.

Now I know some folks feel that losing Henne means the season is lost, I'd ask them to objectively consider what Henne was producing.

We've averaged 15 pts for 3 games, Moore could be an upgrade, which means how we play on D coming off of the BYE is the thing to really watch out for.

I picked first... I have to believe. Honestly. I'm as die hard of a fan as it gets from my perspective. I love this team. From the draft through week 17 (usually when our season is over) I'm obsessed with our team. I just want to win. I wish for the days of the early 00's when Miami was competitive. For every second of every game I was watching with butterflies in my stomach. I can remember all the heart breaks and all of the triumphs. Every Sunday meant something with those teams. I remember the moment I heard Ricky retired on sports center and my stomach sinking. I remember my dad (who was shocked and pissed) waking me up to tell me Miami lost to the Jets in the Monday Night Miracle after he made me go to bed because we were crushing them and I had school in the mourning. I also remember watching the game in full two years later and still I felt my stomach sink when that fat idiot Jumbo Elliot caught the TD to tie the game at 37.

And now? Things have gotten so bad, I no longer get depressed at a loss. I no longer get that exited at a win. That 2008 season was something special because it made me feel just like the old days. Every game mattered and meant something. How awesome was that week 17 game against the Jets? Watching Favre fall apart and Chad rise up against the team who told him to **** off? Even if we got stomped by Baltimore the next week, that season was awesome.

I want that again. I don't know if we're as bad as the 2007 Dolphins. But I hope for it. Unlike that season, there's a prize waiting for us at the end of the rainbow.

****, I waved a white flag for this season since the end of the first half against the Patriots on Monday Night.

Prior to that, I was somewhat optimistic for our team, especially the defense, before the season started. Then, watching the first game of the season against the Patriots on Monday Night, I said to myself "We need Andrew Luck." This team is a mess, offense and defense, front office and all. By now, the majority of the fanbase are realizing the status of the franchise and Andrew Luck. It makes no sense to root for this team to win when there's a prospect that can able to turn the team's fortunate around. I don't see the point to root.

First of all its not about rooting for the Dolphins to lose, after the way they've played these first 4 games, thats a given! What with all the player talk about Sparano and how they like him yet at the same time questioning their conditioning, commitment, and poor training pointing to his bad coaching. Then you add in losing Henne and my guess is that this locker room is snake bitten!

Going by the stats so far KC and Denver are the only 2 we have a chance against imho so my guess is anywhere from 0-16 to 2-14. So yes I see us at the top of the leader board come next April!
