I think the Colts would be very happy with Landry Jones anyway. And it would be cheaper if they got him, say 3rd, right?

By the way people, here is the TV schedule for Stanford:

1)vs. Colorado, Saturday, Saturday Oct. 8, 730 ET - Versus
2)at Washington State, Saturday Oct. 15, 730 ET - Versus
    3)vs. Washington, Saturday Oct. 22, 8 ET - ABC, ESPN or ESPN2
4)at USC, Sat October 29, 8 ET - ABC (Luck vs. Barkley!)

Maybe you can find some Aqua/Orange glasses to watch the games with. Pretend it's the Dolphins from the future. And in case we don't get him.

I would never presume to dispute this notion, but let me dispute the actual comment: I don't think Manning really gives a damn about the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. I think the guy simply wants to play. That's what made him one of the best players to ever set foot on the field to begin with. And that's why, I would assume, the Colts aren't going to put him on IR unless it's absolutely necessary. Manning wants to play. It's not so much a choice as it is in his DNA. That dude wants to play ball, 0-4 start be damned.

    Tripled maybe.

Unfortunately, none of the new wagoneers are actually in a position to make it happen: The Players & Coaches.

My question is this: Will the Miami fans actually show up and root against their own team?

And they are aware of it. A fan asked Omar, and he said they know and aren't happy. They better not f*** this up and win 4 games. We're not happy the team's been a disaster since 2004.

I don't think fans will root against them at home...they just won't show. Why travel, pay to park and eat just to boo. Some will just boo at the end when they lose.

    Elway watches Luck..

''Denver Broncos vice president John Elway and Tiger Woods watching from the sideline. Elway could be in position to make Luck the first overall selection in next April's.

Ive been saying I don't trust that dude, lol..Those stanford boys talkin gets me worried..

The SFluckers butt cheeks must be tight readin this...lol..j/k.

Unless Denver goes 1-15 or 2-14 Luck is out of the question. Miami has the toughest road and favorite to land #1 pick.

That might be the case, but that's not what I'am worried about..I'am worried about the Harbaugh, Elway, Luck, Stanford, Ross connection..Lets hope our owner made a favorable impression with Harbaugh.

That meeting our owner had with Harbaugh might well go a long way in this decision.

What if Denver is say 2 or 3 and Luck refuses to play for us, tells us to trade him to Denver or he will go back to school? I remember another Stanford Qb doing that something similar........

I'd make Denver pay a REAL HEAVY price and then walk off into the sunset with Mr. Barkley and a boatload more of draft picks!

Denver isn't a hot bed anymore

It has QB PR issues (Cutler not playing Tebow) Luck might not want us either

Luck can always return for SR year

    Denver doesn't have enough assets

Unless Miami would take (Tebow and Von Miller plus picks)

It will require a ****load of draft picks and I'm sure we won't settle for anything less than 2 future 1st's, their current first and 2nd.

The strong-armed and fleet-footed quarterback called his own plays again for long stretches, although the no-huddle offense first displayed last week against UCLA was used sparingly. Only a 423-yard passing performance in a loss at Arizona in 2009 did Luck throw for more yards, and he didn't even play the final 10 minutes against Colorado.

Snap out of it! You're already paranoid about us landing the #1 pick and losing out on Luck!?!?!??! Jeez, talk about a defeatist attitude!

Two words: Jake Long. Think about it.

From what I have seen, I would gladly take the Denver 1, Miller, Tebow, Next Year's 1, and draft Jones or Barkley... (Though with Barkley I'd worry he would be afraid to step on the transporter!)

I saw 3 minutes of that game and they mention Woods, Elway, but here was Jim Kelly standing right next to Johnny and he doesn't even get a passing nod of recognition. That's the legacy of losing 4 Super Bowls I guess. :tongue2:

Or it could simply be two Stanford alums checking out the game on the sidelines. Famous alums do that.

I'm sure Elway has already seen enough of Luck to make an assessment about him. This is simply much ado about nothing IMO.

Miami is in control of its own destiny when it comes to Denver! That issue will be resolved in two weeks.

If a team is willing to trade that much you'd have to ask if any trade is worth it.

Great qbs win superbowls and the early indications are Luck may be a GREAT qb. I think whomever gets him has superbowl wins in their future. Why trade away those for anything?

    Uhm..no.

If we are so bad that destiny finally puts us into position to "draft a qb with a #1 pick!!!" you make the selection, one of the problems this regime has had is being to cute by half, say "thank you" and do what you were put into position to do, none of this "oh, we are listening to offers' addled minded thinking on the part of the front office.

OK you lost me... what does the "the connection" have to do with anything? Either we have the #1 pick and we take him or we dont and someone else does.

Ronin, you know they are talking about all scenarios, just for the simple idea that players talk, he shouldn't be showing himself at an Andrew Luck football game during game 5 of your regular season, sacrifice your viewing pleasure so your team doesn't start gettin any ideas ya know...This is what worries me about this guy, what if he purposely wants to plant that seed in his own locker room..I mean whatkind of message does this send?

Iam not buyin the whole just another alum checkin out another alum...Whether he realizes it or not, it sends a defeatist message.

Him refusing to be a miami dolphin because he decides that he wants to play for the broncos..?. Elway being a formner stanford alum who went #1, while choosing his team..What if he gets in this kids head, what if woods gets in this kids head, what if his father gets in this kids head, what if Harbaugh tells him that our organization is shady, what if harbaugh says play for your standford alum in denver..

I'am talkin about a real conspiracy here, lol..

Its not a conspiracy, it has precedent in the NFL with Elway himself Colts/Broncos, as well as Eli Manning SD/NYGiants.

Luck could certainly refuse to sign and force a trade if he wanted to play it that way.
