I don't think we want them to sweep the Jags. Then we'd have to worry about the Jags sneaking into the top spot.
I think we need to hope for a split.

Yeah, unless the Jaguars win some games before, hope for a split. Blaine Gabbert is not a good argument to them not taking Luck, They'll probably have a new staff who would want him.

Agreed. I'd like to see them split, but I think the Colts can sweep. The Jags are breaking in a rookie QB and are playing pretty flat. I could absolutely see Mathis and Freeney devouring Gabbert and causing all sorts of turnover mayhem in those games.

    Wow. I like Tebow.

#12 on the Broncos was pushed out of bounds AND he could have made the catch.

Tebow looks very hard to stop out of the spread offense. The threat of the deep ball forces two safeties to play deep on each possession and gives Denver that one man advantage at the line. Add that to his ability to flat out run over people and Tebow is a big-play red zone machine.

Well, we can pretty much eliminate KC and Seattle. Arizona enters the competition. It's between us and Indy. Race to the bottom

I think Arizona would allow Kolb's presence to deter them from Luck. Kolb's contract represents a lot of potential dead money on their salary cap, and Rod Graves strikes me more as a guy who would fill need rather than go BPA. I can see them sucking for Kalil or Coples, but not for Luck.

Got no idea how this team will pan out this season, but I don't see many wins on the radar.

    Jets: Loss
    Bronco's: Coin Flip
    Giants: Loss
    KC: Coin Flip
    Redskins: Coin Flip
Bills, Dallas, Raiders, Eagles, Bills, Patriots, Jets, all likely losses...

We could steal one here or there, but there's the possibility that we lose out all of those games. Likely? Not sure if it's likely, but it's a distinct possibility. Tack on that Jacksonville and the Colts play eachother twice this season and we could be in some real contention for Luck.

Luck is really the only thing to possibly look forward to right now. I never talk about the draft this early, this is the first time I've been following a player so closely.

So at least we have that in this crappy season. It makes it so much easier, came to terms with it during the Chargers game. If we get that #1 pick and Luck is in the draft, this offseason will be so much better. Of course, I have to actually see/hear "The Miami Dolphins select Andrew Luck" before I believe it so we don't go after a RG. This franchise has left me jaded.

This is the Dolphins you know watch our luck we get the first pick and Luck gets hurt final game and out for a year!

I have a feeling as well that Indy has mandated to lose so they can get Luck.. They must look like there playing but than they will just fail in the second half.

Painter looked pretty live today just like I thought he would. He will win them a couple of games. I see us with 2 wins and Indy with 3.

You can't help but like him. I was cheering for the Broncos today. Weird...

Not sure what's best for him at the NFL level. Maybe a mix of the Wildcat and a regular spread offense with two flex TEs and two deep WRs. On the line you go with a large TE and just help Tebow run over some teams.

Then we flip him for whichever QB Denver is position to select, their 2nd and 3rd this year and their 1st, 2nd and 3rd the following year. IF the price is too high and he refuses to report then we let him rot for as long as we can.

And Tim dang near lead them to a come from behind win. Watch though. Their coaching staff is still too traditional thinking, and they will think of a reason to keep Tebow on the bench. That guy just has something in him that people rally around, and he provided a spark today. If Fox was a smart, adaptable coach, he would spend the next week putting in things that Tebow does really well and running a wide open style that allows him to move around and make plays.

Well if the Broncos go with Tebow the rest of the way it can only enhance their chances of getting Luck. I don't see the Colts winning more than a game or two, they seem like the team to beat in the Luck sweepstakes. It would really be demoralizing to see them seamlessly go from a HOF Qb in Manning to the best Qb prospect since Manning in Luck with us still floundering around and hoping we can get a Qb somehow off of a scrap heap.

I think they'll win more games with Tebow. The thing with Tebow is that is that you have to take advantage of having an extra blocker on the offense so much so that the other team gives up the deep ball. They can easily beat Miami.

I'D LAUGH MY BUTT OFF if Luck decided to stay at Stanford to avoid playing for a fan base that cares more about losing a season than rooting for its team to make something of the remaining 12 games.

I can see the ultra competitive and team-oriented Luck thinking to himself, "Why would I want to be associated with an organization that has fans disgracefully holding up Suck For Luck/ 0-16 posters during games despite having 12 left to play?!" "Those embarrassing signs are a slap in the face to the current Dolphin players who are leaving it on the field on a weekly basis, players who could be my future teammates, and if fans won't support these guys, my future teammates, then why should I support playing for these fans?" "If this is the kind of non-support that Miami fans show for its players & team, then I'd rather take my chances with the 2013 draft." "I'd rather play for an 0-16 team that at least has fans rooting for its team to win."

People complained that Miami is the joke of the league after the Ross-Harbaugh debacle? Ha! That pales mightily in comparison to the mockery created by this fan base's embarrassing Suck for Luck campaign.

That is, if John Fox and his staff take advantage of the skill set that Tim brings to the table. I will be surprised if they do. John Fox is simply one of the coaches that I feel is caught up in the traditional way of thinking that pervades the NFL and isn't going to try something new.

However, if they dedicate themselves to a full time spread offense where they utilize Tebow's running ability, his ability to throw the ball down the field, and limit him to high/low half field reads, they have the makings of a very potent offense. Knoshown Moreno could become a deadily space player in this type of set up, and they have two young flex tight ends in Virgil Green and Julius Thomas. Eric Decker can be a very good slot guy who can get open, while Brandon Lloyd is the down field threat.

One thing you cannot discount about Tim Tebow is that this guy is a tremendous leader. The Denver team will rally around him, and they will win some games with him at quarterback. I have a feeling Tebow will end up gashing the Dolphins to the tune of 300 yards passing and 100 yards rushing when they play.

However, if Denver wants to get in the Luck sweepstakes, they will leave Tebow on the bench the rest of the year. If that happens and they are in a position to take Luck, I would gladly take Tim Tebow off their hands. I'd love to see Jon Gruden build a spread offense around Tim Tebow in Miami.

John Fox is probably lamenting the decision to not sign DeAngelo Williams, rather than figuring out how to best utilize the skills of his new starting QB.

Agreed. Tebow is equipped to do well against us, especially if he catches the defense napping on a scramble or two.

You know, you're pretty gung-ho on bringing college concepts to the NFL, and you're being pretty complimentary of Tebow here. Have you come around on Cam Newton?

wow, i was one of the biggest proponents of Suck for Luck last summer, prior to the season. However, it was only a pipe dream, i never actually thought we had a shot. Now, I think that based on the schedules, we have to be considered the favorites. Looking at all teams with less than 2 wins:

St. Louis starting Nov 6 plays Arizona, Cleveland, Seattle, Arizona, SF, Seattle, Cincy, Pitt, SF.
Minnesota and Philly are too good not to win some games.
Carolina has been playing close in most losses and they definitely look to win a few this season; they have no incentive to suck.
Arizona still plays Rams twice, Philly, Cleveland, Cincy, Seattle
Denver just made the switch to Tebow and he looks like he'll get them a couple more wins at least
That just leaves Indy and Jax ... they play each other twice so that's at least 2 wins between them. Other than that Indy and Jax are the greatest threat

C'mon Tony, Deliver Us the Golden Boy

While watching the Jets/Pats game today with my Dad in Patagonia, AZ, I found myself saying things like, "I'm glad the Jets are losing. We need them to be pissed off and desperate when they play us next week to insure the loss." and "The fanbase is gonna be so pissed off if Tony starts winning games." and "Yeah Dad, our fanbase knew that Ireland should have gotten Tebow when his stock dropped in the preseason".

C'mon Tony, not to sound condescending but ... Please be yourself. You can singlehandedly deliver us the Golden One by just continuing to suck. For me personally, I would completely forgive you for all the inane press conferences and speeches I've chosen to endure all these years following fan protocol. So please, no new wrinkles, no change, and I don't care if you completely shatter this team's confidence just please do no start winning. I don't know what it is but it just feels so right to root against you.

Scary thought, predictable though..and definitely on my mind. I've BEEN worried about exactly what you said..Elway going to that game only heightens the awareness....but I think I think a bit more about the future {if the team is bad} in the way I look at the team, so i can deal with it, I mean I'am rootin for other teams to lose man lol, but I get your POV, i think this fanbase has hit bottom..

I'am not sure I can watch the bronco game when its here, with tebow and the florida stuff? ya know...Its gonna get real ugly here if they don't beat the jets..

Its like the masses are enjoying listening to themselves criticizing and agreeing with the medias perspective, and are running with it..

Somehow I think Luck spends more time on school and preparing for his next game with Stanford than looking at signs Dolphin fans post at games. Going to a team with an energized fan base and a team built around you isn't the worst situation for a competitor.
