3-13? 2-14? Come on! That's a loser mentality. Being 0-4, there's some positive of it. I mean, I'm sure of it. Like the bye week. I know Sparano will find a plan for Reggie Bush to run between the tackles, I'm sure of it. With the all talent in this team, I know a turnaround will happen. In Sparano, we trust. If we end up #10 or higher, we can able to draft a kick returner or a right tackle. We don't need anymore playmakers since we got all the talent in this team.

Ehh... I originally hated the thought, but I guess now I just want to be excited about the dolphins. I watch the game every Sunday no doubt, but this team, this season has given up whether they know it or not. Honestly there are only a handful of guys that have given there all every game and one of them just f#cked up his shoulder. I don't want to see a L in the column every week, but I think with luck, I am excited. He seems to be able to make me excited again. So I will in my own way root for us to get him, even though it may mean I have to accept that this season is over early.

Less than three months after giving Peyton Manning a five-year, $90 million contract, Colts owner Jim Irsay is acknowledging that his team may be looking for its quarterback of the future in next year’s NFL draft.
Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that Irsay strongly indicated that his team would be interested in a franchise quarterback like Stanford’s Andrew Luck in the 2012 NFL draft.
“Guys like that come along so rarely,” Irsay said, referring to sure-thing prospects like Manning and Luck.

The winless Colts are the first team to five losses this season, giving them an early lead in the race for the first pick in the draft. This year, the first pick seems like a foregone conclusion: Luck is considered by far the best pro prospect playing college football right now.
So if the Colts get the first pick, do they go for Luck? Or do they trade the pick to a team that will give the Colts a bounty of players and picks that could allow them to build another Super Bowl winner around Manning?
Irsay said he believes the Colts with Manning are a good team — he said he thinks they’d be 4-1 if Manning were playing — but Irsay also seems to think Luck is too big a talent to pass up.
“Even if that means that guy sits for three or four years, you’d certainly think about taking him,” Irsay said. “You see what Green Bay did with [Brett] Favre and [Aaron] Rodgers and you’d like to be able to do the same thing.”

While I'm sure Irsay is probably salivating over the prospect of drafting the heir apparent to Manning, and arguably the best QB prospect to come out since Manning, I think the reality is they are going to win enough games to knock themselves out of contention. Especially if Manning comes back and plays this season, which as I understand it is a possibility. Not to mention the financial impact of signing the #1 pick. What, they're gonna pay Luck $25-$30 million to sit on the bench and hold a clipboard? Great insurance policy if you can afford it I suppose.

BTW, I didn't see last Sunday's game against KC, but they were up by ten going into the second half. Did anyone see it? Did they lay down or did KC simply get hot?

Indy's offense was just brutal in the second half. Couldn't sustain a drive, then KC started to get the run game going and just wore Indy down.

yeah, rooting for them was pretty hard. Irsay may also be setting up conditions for a trade. If he is clear that he will take Luck, it puts him in a good position to command a lot of compensation. If he doesn't get what he is demanding, he can just take him or someone else. its a nice spot to be in

I'm rooting for the Dolphins to lose and I'm not ashamed to admit it and it doesn't make me less of a fan.

If the Colts told me they'd give me a young Peyton Manning if all I had to do was go 1-15 or 0-16, I wouldn't think twice. One crap year to have over a decade of being elite. Done. Where do I sign?

Think about this to jump from 27 to 6 Atlanta gave Cleveland:
    They surrendered their own first-round pick (27), a second-rounder (59) and a fourth-rounder (124) this year, plus a first-rounder and a fourth-rounder next year.

Imagine what Andrew Luck could get you in this era of trading up for lower salary players with Luck only getting 24m guaranteed (that still sounds tragic). Anyone want to take a guess what that can get you considering that the second rounder from Atlanta is just about equivalent to a future first round pick from a good team? That's close to 2-2/3rds 1st first round picks for a WR. The greatest QB prospect in years.... Hmmm....

BULL ****ING ****!!!!! Hell, you even said you hoped Ireland would trade Wake because it would help Miami land the first pick in the draft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't say you were a bad fan. I'll keep that thought to myself! What I said was, TO ME, you should never root for your team to lose and you have clearly said you want them to be the worst team in the league this season.

Here's the thing, I'm not rooting for them to lose just to lose nor do I think anyone here is doing that. I'm rooting for them to lose because that puts us in the best position to better the team for years to come.

So why shouldn't you root for your team to lose if it will in the long run, make your team better?

It's about winning the war, not the battle.

This season means nothing if we can set ourselves up for actual SB runs in the near future.

****ing Colts...they still have to play Jaguars twice though, hopefully Jags can pick up a win before then so we can cheer for Colts to sweep them.

The PTI guys said they both would rather see Luck in Miami so he wouldn't be sitting for 3 or 4 years, and would be the star attraction.

I for one cant root against the fins to lose, especially with the Jets game coming, if were meant to get LUCK then it will happen, but as far as wanting to tank the season to get it cant do it, I mean if we get the #1 pick, we arent guaranteed 100% that whomever is in charge of drafting will even choose LUCK...jmo

But im with ya Ozzy, wont root against us at anytime..

I'm neither rooting against my team (especially not when we face the Jests) but i don't feel bad after a loss anymore and i guess it will only be changed after we get a new HC and GM! Losing will help us getting the #1 pick which will probably be Andrew Luck, no matter who's in charge! We need a new face of this franchise, a franchise QB and i guess he or Landry Jones will be it!

That's right! If the Miami Dolphins are meant to have the first pick in the draft then they will get it. I see no reason to root for them to lose. I'm not mad at those who are or are praying to get luck. I'm just expressing my opinions.

Is Chad Henne laying on the floor?
Oh, great. Now, our QB is Matt Moore
Now we have to bring in someone else
Can't you believe we got Sage Rosenfels?
All our players from the Cowboys suck
Somehow, we'll even ruin Andrew Luck
And Fasano will wreck this drive
    Don't we look now but we're - going 0-5

    Who is our QB now?
    Could have Drew Brees now...
    0-16 now...
    Culpepper's knee - OW!

Why did we go and sign Steve Slaton?
It's obvious, we just don't want to win
Is it time for some more fumbling?
    Jeff Ireland, yara-yara-yara bumbling
We got no hope, this season is lost
Holy crap! How much did these nachos just cost?
I know this season won't be easy
Not when we're relying on KOA MISI!!!

    Who is our QB now?
    Could have Drew Brees now...
    0-16 now...

    LOL.

Look, Andrew Luck is such a no-brainer #1 pick that if the next regime doesn't choose him, then I am done as a Dolphin fan. Simple as that.

I am not rooting for them to lose...but let's just say that I won't be disapointed if they did, and would be furious if they went 3-13 to 8-8. Not so furious if they went 0-16 to 2-14. :knucks:

I hope so, if the new regime is as smart as you are for the HEAT then yes its a no brainer, but if its IRELAND...ooh i dont want to think..
if we go 3-13 I would be ok with that but Im not wishing for it, just so we beat the Jets twice and the Broncs for personal reasons.

How about if we go 12-4...haha pipe dream, our season starts after the bye, we already lost 4 so now its time to win....could happen......maybe??

No negative thing to say to you Section, your a good dude, answer all my pm's about the Heat..fist pump to you sir :hi5:
