Yeah, we've had a real solid QB situation here to allow him to thrive.

He's had plenty of chances to not drop balls and produce. That said, he hasn't done much here to warrant his contract and I could name at least 10 WR I'd take over him in a second

Marshall is guilty of messing up on some plays.

I believe it is because he mentally gave up. He thought Chad Henne was not a good QB. Should he have played half hearted? nope but thats how he is

These comments are concerning, but also indicative of BPD.... When someone has BPD, their logic is flawed by overwhelming emotions. This is not a disorder that just goes away over time, there are periods of relative calm usually surrounded by hyper mania and depression. This is probably a combination of attempted humor and shame on his part as Marshall is very sensitive (in an extreme way) to not only discussions around his play, but his BPD and teams failure.... His therapy probably involved coping lessons on reducing his emotional mood swings, and this "outburst" was his way to push back on it.

Yeah right. "plenty of chances" ...ok. This is the first year, actually first several games where they even "tried" using Marshall correctly. They have tried to get it to him down field more and get Henne to "chuck it up" more to him, which is what you sometimes need to do with a receiver like him. He has made some sweet plays, but it's only been four games and not even a full 4 with the starter. Our QB situation has been erratic to say the least. Wouldn't you agree? In football, all the parts rely on each other. It has to be a well running machine and we've seen him make big plays. Has he dropped some balls?...sure. All the great ones do, just like Andre Johnson did in the end-zone in that game. It happens, but his abilities are obvious. You want to blame Marshall, while completely removing Henne from the equation, which is ridiculous, IMO. You think Henne all of a sudden has developed into a QB with great touch and accuracy, etc, etc, etc? Is he now great in the red-zone, great with the deep ball? Is Marshall now playing with a backup QB. You don't see the big picture here. You don't see the bigger problem with the whole 0-4 team right now? Seriously? Yeah, it's Marshall. Sure. Practically the whole freakin' team sucks right now and you want to single out Marshall? Give me a break. Yeah, besides Marshall, our whole offense is so truly awesome right now. 0-4 awesome!! You have a point.

I'm not sure if it's already been said in this thread but Tony Sparano actually had a really good comment on this -

    Paraphrasing a bit:

"First of all Brandon is kidding [pause] 50% kidding." "I know one thing, he's not going to do anything to hurt this team."

    I'm not a football prude.

I like TD celebrations. I like **** talking. I like rubbing it into the other teams face. I like taunting.

I just don't think a WR for an 0-4 team, who has yet to live up to the hype or his former production, should be talking trash to the media. Talk it in game. Talk it in practice. Talk it in the locker room. But not to the media. Joking or not.

During his "former production" he had a "former QB" . Lets not downgrade the importance of that. When he was a top 5 WR in Denver he had a real QB throwing to him.

He's had plenty of screw ups. Plenty of dropped passes/TDs, regardless of who was throwing the ball. Its not all on him or Henne.

See, that is fair analysis. We can debate over that. Why can't you address the situation like that rather than your initial post?

If a poster otherwise takes every opportunity to make it personal with a player, how am I to consider the post as objective?

I still disagree on the 'drama' stuff. Guys say stuff like that every week and it doesn't mean a dang thing. The fans and media devour it, but once the whistle blows it doesn't mean anything.

This is when I miss Crowder. At 2-3, Rex is still proclaiming Super Bowl. You bet your *** the media would be surrounding Crowder's locker for comment.

Brandon Marshall doesn't take advantage of his opportunities and make plays.
That is whay he is not considered a star anymore except to a hand full of Dolphin fans.
He is merely an average WR.

This guy has fallen into the deep end and Andrew Luck just **** his pants when he saw this video hahah.. if we get the #1 pick and Bmarsh is still on our roster Luck will drop out of a class so that he doesnt graduate in 3 years and he will stay in school for another year.

Exactly! Why would a prospect like Luck want to play with an over rated headcase.
You see the guy dropping footballs and you have to think as a QB "That could be me he is making a fool of."

When the football hits a player directly in the hands multiple times then falls incomplete.... You blame the player. It is common sense. :wink2:
Also there are only a few of the Marshall player fans left so I don't give a damn if you laugh at me. I have been right all along and will be at the end.

Since you are such a huge Andrew Luck fan and a staunch SFLer. Let's go hypothetical and say Luck has been our QB this season under the same set of scenarios. Meaning plays were exactly the same. Marshall drops those passes from Luck...... Who do you blame?

Yes, I did. You need help with your reading comprehension. Do you think Henne and a back-up QB have some blame here? There were other points, but what's the use? You're going to believe what you want to believe.

The fact is that both sides of this debate are blinded by their preferential treatment of one player over another, and use the same arguments against.. On one hand there are threads claiming we should stop blaming the OL/coaching/receivers for our QB deficiencies , then the very next minute blame the QB for our WR deficiencies.

Them we'll see a thread praising the QB and blaming his issues on the WR's/coaching/OL, while not taking in to account the QB's role in not optimizing his role at the position and taking charge.

How about we all admit that this team is deeply flawed, that Henne had some good and bad traits, that Marshall can be amazing and horrible at the same time, rather than these tit for tat exchanges that are making this place miserable and these games nearly unwatchable??

ya i can see that.. BMarsh is absolutely ridiculous when there is positive energy around him. Can you imagine the spark Luck would bring here and the energy him and bmarsh can create, now thatd be fun to watch. So idk maybe he really is joking about those statements and is trying to create some energy around himself, by himself, because the rest of the team isnt doin it.

o and thats no longer Beast thats Monster hahahha

You guys really need to understand the demons that Bmarsh is living with to see why the concept of a beast mode or playing with godlike energy is NOT what Brandon needs.. That is a fantasy.. A fantasy that is easily broken the first time he is let down by either dropping a catchable ball or having a play not go the way he envisioned.. That beast mode can turn in to upset/ sensitive mode, which means he mentally checks out or explodes with a stupid play, like a 15 yard penalty or stopping his route mid throw... Marshall needs to learn to keep his emotions in check, not develop some fantasy persona that is unsustainable long term.
