You've been a fan long enough to know that when a position of great need for the Dolphins has a great player thats going to be in the draft the following year that the Dolphins will find a way to screw it up.

    Happens erry time...

TBH, I'd rather have a 3-some with a couple of those cheerleaders, but I'll settle for a Super Bowl win instead.

We all want a Super Bowl, these past several years have been tough and this year has been, IMO, the hardest on us the fans.

  9. Try living in the DC area. There is a picture of him dragging 4 defenders on his back in every bar you walk into.

One cool story though. I went to Thiesman's resteraunt up there, got drunk, and peed in one the plants in his resteraunt just cause I was drunk and spiteful.

EDIT: I hate that opinionated prick too!

Nobody on these forums are fair weather, or they wouldn't be on here. Fair weather's are people who just stop doing anything remotely relating to the team, stop watching, pretend they don't like them, maybe pretend they like another team, only wearing gear or cheering when they're winning.

I may be "Suck for Luck" but I'm not fair-weather, I still watch the games. I still wear the gear. I did in 2007. I used to always cheer for them even when they sucked and were out of playoff contention, like in 2006 for example when they went on that 4 or 5 game win streak even though they were finished. I didn't care about the draft. But I just don't care if they win or lose this season now, and losing might be better, so whatever. That loss to the Browns took any and all excitement out. Blame the franchise. I'm sick of them being irrelevant, I've watched one playoff win and it was when I was 12. Been a fan since elementary school, but didn't watch many games in the 90s, since most young kids don't. I'm not cheering for this team to go 6-10 and reach on a 4th or 5th best QB prospect and be stuck in the same mediocre irrelevancy again in 2012 and on and on... Now those players can become great of course, but the odds are against it. Watching the once hapless Jets go to 2 AFC Championship games in a row while we haven't been since the 1992 season is frustrating beyond belief.

Luck isn't any guarantee but at least him and a new coaching staff gives the best chance for this franchise to go back to the way it was before 2004. As of now this season is going the way of 2004 and 2007. At this rate I feel like I'll never even see the Dolphins in the AFC Championship game, let alone a Super Bowl.

Any sort of 8 or 9 game winning streak miracle would be nice, but this team has left me jaded, it's not happening. Oh and this does not mean I want them to lose to the Jets. I want the Fins to win and drag the Jets down into having a crappy season along with us! Fins can still get Luck after that.

This.....I only care about getting either Luck or Jones at this point (call me narrow minded whatever), all I know is change has to happen from up top to on the field, and how does that happen?....why in the Lords name do I want to watch this team win 4-6 games for and lose out on the 2 QB's that could most certainly turn this franchise around, so I can come on this board and be optimistic in the face of utter futility???....GTFO of here...I am done with seeing this team puke away money, draft picks, etc on finding thee guy, only to be in the exact same spot we were before Henne...ESPECIALLY seeing now today game centers around having a good quarterback, and slinging the ball around...

The only problem is Indy, they are laying down already, say what you want about Miami at least they are trying, they just suck, Indy is up 17 and gags it? Against the Pats, GB, etc fine I get that but not at home against KC w/o their best offensive weapon....

But as someone already mentioned, I'm not disappointed when they lose either. It's just whatever at this point.

New hope has been brought by Peyton Manning moving to the sidelines. He might play yet. If not, the Henne injury is what can do it for us.

    Nice work on the song.

All these fair weather Dolphin fans these days.
They let their favorite players off the hook but crucify everything else.
The outlook is skewed when you want something even though you have no clue wether it will be worth it in the end.
I hear everyone guaranteeing that Luck will win a SB when our very own Marino couldn't.
It is a team game not a we got the biggest shiny superstar game.
    Get with it people.

People who have been posting on a Dolphins internet message board for years, many of them contributing financially, are not fair weather fans. Fair weather fans likely don't even know this site exists. People may very well be misguided about Luck and his ability to turn this franchise around but they are fans nonetheless. People are tired of self proclaimed super fans telling them how they're supposed to root for the future of this franchise.

You're right. Maybe we should keep building a team around bad QB's. That strategy has really worked for us the last decade. Forget getting a franchise QB and building around him. Let's stick with the strategy that has produced one playoff appearance since 2002. I heart mediocrity.

Man....the Colts are awful. Might as well cheer for the Dolphins....it's doubtful we get the #1 pick. I think we better just hope the Rams get it and hope that Ross hires some competent people to trade for the #1 pick. Ireland probably won't do it though, he'd be content to stay with the 6th pick or whatever and draft a RG, even if Jones or Griffin are available.

Well they know how to THROW THE GAME for sure...do just enough to keep it close, and then when its on the line...ooopppppssss...fumble following a completion and miss tackles to watch the other team score and end in another loss.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Colts are getting that top pick and Luck which pisses me off. Why the hell do they deserve 30 straight years of having a franchise QB? I think I'd rather see any other team outside of the AFC East get the pick but them.

Which is why we hope the Rams get it instead! There may be a chance the Colts would trade the #1 pick though...we would probably have to give something big up though. I'd give Bush and one of our defenders and maybe a 2nd rounder??

Whatever...we'll worry about it later. I still want to beat the Jets because it would be hysterical.

Colts sure know how to suck when there's a franchise-type QB coming to the draft. Elway. Then Peyton Manning. Quite possibly, Luck. Gotta be that horseshoe. Gotta be...

Actually if Indy gets the pick, I'm not so sure it's so clear cut.

They are showing right now that they have one of, if not, THE least talented teams in the NFL save Manning. This is showing Peyton exactly what he has to work with for the remainder of his career and he has obvious ammo to use in telling the front office that he's been playing with crap and they need to get him some talent. Now if they use the only huge asset they have to draft a QB, they are spitting in Peyton's face. Not because they are drafting a QB to cover themselves for the future; that's totally reasonable. It's using such a valuable asset while knowing that they are giving Peyton nothing to work with. Polian mentioned the GB situation and Rodgers. Well GB used #27 on Rodgers not the #1 pick. Indy can get multiple vets, picks, etc and still use a later pick now or in the future on a QB. Let's assume the Phins have #5, Indy could probably get our #5 a 2nd rounder, next years 1st and a good vet (brandon marshall or a good DL) (i know that sounds like a lot, but that's probably the general area of value that the pick would command). They could then use the #6 pick along with 2 of the top 6 picks in the 2nd, the vet all to instantly make themselves more competitive. Next year they would have 2 1'sts with one of those most likely a very high pick.

If I'm Peyton and they pass all that up and leave me with this crap to play with, you put some pressure on them to not exercise their option and allow you to go elsewhere. I know it sounds far fetched and I actually don't think it would get to that. I think Peyton will exert ENORMOUS pressure on them to get talent and not a QB.

And Manning should have 5 more years at least....going to make Luck sit that long? They still have time to get a QB in 2013 or 2014 drafts who can sit for 2 years. I think Colts would trade it, but you'll have to give up a lot and maybe some players as well.

If Ireland is here I bet he wouldn't trade up though.

We need to keep losing it hurts our competition.

Listen its over the season that is. We need to blow everything up and start over. front office to bag boy. I hate the other AFC teams but I want Miami to Let them all win because it will hurt them....

We know the Jets and Bills are not going to win the super bowl. So letting them win equals 2 more wins on their schedule no superbowl and giving them a lower draft pick. We need to keep on sucking! This team needs it! If they win a few and we don't get Luck than this season was / is for nothing.

However I'm scared this franchise sucks so badly that they won't be able to even lose properly and will somehow win 3-4 games and just basically screw the franchise on the way out.

I don't know, there is some talent. All they need is to find some mediocre O-Linemen to go with Long and Pouncey, draft that QB, fix the damn secondary however they need to (new safeties?). And of course, a new coaching staff that can get them going.

Look what Harbaugh is doing with the 49ers who are 5-1, And they beat the Eagles and Lions on the road. They didn't even add that many players, and have the same QB. And they have Ted Ginn.
