First off, it was a boring game, especially if you were sitting in stands. Let's get to the main points, however.

I said the Jets would score 24 points in the other thread, but I would have guessed the Dolphins would score more than 6.

    Other thoughts:
    • This would be a different ball game with Chad Henne playing. Moore missed a couple of guys that would have caused points.
    • TP is bad, really bad.
    • I thought Wayne Hunter surprisingly did good against Wake. Is he hurt?
    • Offensive Line played great the entire game.
    • Daniel Thomas looks like he's going to be a good player.
    • Nick Mangold is an amazing player.
    • Bell had a good game for you guys.
    • It's unbelievable how good of a team the Jets can be if they open the playbook for Sanchez and put him in a rhythm.
    • Mark Sanchez played a pretty good game.
    • Kyle Wilson is getting better game by game.
    • Jason Taylor got booeed.
And last but not least, Darrelle Revis is ****ing amazing. He let up like 3-4 catches against Marshall but everything else was amazing. I can't explain to you how loud the stadium was during the pick-6. This is truly a HOF type player in our very eyes and he has absolutely no flaws whatsoever. The man can cover anyone, anywhere. It was fun watching them two go at it, but Darrelle Revis always wins these types of match ups. He's a Jet for life.

Marshall had a 100+ yards on him with an awful QB throwing him the ball, and a few drops.....that pick-6 was a PI non-call....

and Sanchize is bad dude.....how bad?.....when Miami gets Luck in April, he will be the 4th best QB in the AFC East, w/o even playing a game yet....

I would be concerned as a Jet fan, honestly, your team isnt as good as they were the past few years, want to know how?

Rex is quiet like a mouse, he knows they arent going to win this year, the defense which is his crutch isnt good this year....

They don't open the playbook for Sanchez because they know he will throw the ball to the wrong team. He's a below average QB. Admit it to yourself and move on.

They need to be dedicated to losing for Luck....They need to do more of what happened last night....more fumbling, more dropping, more missed assignments....

They need to practice all this in the bubble too...that should work...

Wow, seriously? What makes you so positive that Luck is going to be then next Manning? What makes you so positive that Luck is EVEN COMING OUT AGAIN? That's pathetic. I know there's better Dolphins fans than that, because I can't believe I just saw that.

    WOW.

Incorrect. Marshall beat Cromartie for about 40 yards on the play where Moore escaped. I would say he got 50-60 yards on Revis, which is still good.

I thought the Jets played poorly last night. It took them half way through the 2nd quarter to get their first 1st down. They scored 17 offensive points against a winless team. They still can't run the ball. Sanchez started the game miserably. Plaxico looks completely done. I can not get excited about beating a miserable Dolphins team at home. In fact, I was upset that the Jets didn't beat them more soundly. Miami is terrible and Moore is awful.

No doubt Henne would have made a difference.
Offensive line could not open holes for the running game. They did protect well, but Miami has a pitiful pass rush.
DT looked ok - has fumble issues
Open the playbook for Sanchez? I'm not sure where you are going with that thought. It doesn't seem like that have dumbed the offense down for him. He played good, not great. Missed some throws he should have made. He did finish with a 95.6 QBR, didn't turn the ball over, and ran for a TD.

As for the Miami fans that continually call him garbage, I don't think that's fair. He is on pace to throw 24 TD's against 13 INT's. His completion percentage has improved. And other than the Baltimore game, his passer ratings have been 88.7, 85.8, 93.8, 105.6, and 95.6. The Baltimore game drops his passer rating from 93.4 to its current 82.3. And I am not making excuses, but how many quarterbacks put up even average numbers with the same "protection" he had in that Ravens game. He got the ever living crap kicked out of him. It is what it is, but you really have to take that into consideration.

Marshall had a good game against Revis. Against Revis I think he caught passes of 8 yards, 20 yards and 11 yards: 3 catches for 39 yards. Marshall's other completions were 46 yards against Cromartie, 14 against Leonard and 10 against Wilson. I know for a fact that Cromartie had the coverage on the 46 yard gain. I am not so sure about the 14 and 10 yard completions, other than who tackled him. It is worth mentioning that Marshall should have had another completion and a TD against Revis. He should make that catch.

Lastly, Taylor is done. Fork in him, done. Did he even get a pressure on Sanchez? They credited him for 1 tackle, which puts him at 4 for the year (3 solo, 1 asst). That goes with his one sack. I feel bad for the guy.

Oh, and you forgot to mention Pace, who had an outstanding game and Maybin who is playing with renewed energy. I am happy with the way he is coming along.

You can post all the pictures you want, but that wasn't Revis's man on that play. That's not to say that Revis can't be beat. Obviously he can. But it's pretty hard to argue that he isn't the in the top 3 corners in football and you can make a solid case for him being the best.

He did NOT have 100+ yards on Revis. As for the pick 6, you can definitely make a case for a flag.

No he didnt, he only played well when the Defense was clearly exhuasted. He is still an average QB on an an average team.

Luck said before the season began that this would be his last year. Also: He is graduating.
I know that you are still in your 8th year of Highschool, but most people graduate in 4 years.

And there are 11 weeks remaining in the season. There are three winless teams and five 1 win teams. Talking like Luck in Miami is a forgone conclusion is ridiculous.

Pretty much Bam but if we lose to Denver and he Colts finally get a win we could get Luck. Rams, Seatle and Arizona play twice so that helps out alot.

    Marshall dominated Revis.

and there is empirical evidence to back that up.

    here it is:

Marshall's game vs. Revis, is the best game versus Revis in over 2 years.

Marshall caught more passes and more yards on Revis in this game than had been caught against Revis all year.

Marshall averaged 10.9 yards per true target versus Revis, on 6 true targets, 2 passes defensed. That is also DOUBLE the amount of targets vs. Revis in any game the last 2 years.

Revis averages giving up 2.1 yards per true target.

Revis game versus Marshall on a per target basis, if extrapolated throughout a 16 game season, would rank Revis somewhere between #90 and #115 in ALL DB's.

Revis is very good, in fact GREAT, but Marshall obviously was pretty motivated for this one and showed that you can't defend size, no matter how much skill you have.

When a 4 catch, 60 yard, 0 td performance constitutes domination, the cb is bring held to a very high standard.

no, that one is credited to Cromartie.

A true target is any pass that reaches the player and is deemed catchable.

    it goes deeper than that.

you also missed the part where if Revis had THAT game all year for 16 games, he would be ranked around #90 to #115 in all DB's.

I'm sorry. I'm just having a hard time with the use of dominated. Good game? absolutely. Dominated? I don't think so.

If Long gives up a sack and two pressures in a game, do you extrapolate it over a sixteen game season and say he was dominated?

Why do I want to see this team to win 3 or 4 games and miss out on Luck or Jones for, so they can draft Kalil? Seriously what are you thinking? What sense does that make? at all?

This team hasn't had a quarterback since Marino, and leads the NFL is QB's since him at 16 different guys and they have zip to show for it...It is time to fix this position once and for all...Luck will change that, Jones will change that....

Luck said himself earlier he is coming out...I will gladly watch Miami lose every game to get Luck...

So with that, the boys did a hell of a job last night, TS hopefully gives them until Friday off...remember folks dedication for Luck...

Revis, IMO, is without question the best CB in the league. Yea, he gets beat, but everybody gets beat from time to time. Revis is doing more on D than Deion Sanders ever did.

Can't believe I gave a Jets player credit, but the dude can play.

The only thing Revis has on him is he is a better tackler.....
