Who said anything about having trouble with it? All I said was he PROBABLY will enter the draft but he has the option to stay at Stanford if he changes his mind. If the team with the #1 pick is not to his liking and theres no trade up then he has the choice to stay in school and theres nothing you,me, OR my Aunt Tilly can do about it.

Oh I agree totally..it just wouldn't shock me if we happen to actually get the no.1 pick, and STILL miss out..

The only reason to go back would be if he hated the team with the #1 overall pick and if that was the reason then he wouldn't be going to that team anyway. That's why I see the remaining eligibility as a non-issue. IMO there's a 99.9% chance he's coming out. That .01% is if the #1 goes to a team that he hates enough to force a trade and then that team refuses to trade him for the boat load that they could get out of some Mike Brownesque principal stance.

If Luck does re-enter the draft, IMO you need to start asking yourself some Leinart-esque questions. He doesn't seem to have the same sort of personality as Lienart, but you have to wonder if he doesn't go back for a 5th year because he likes college girls and knows that he's set for life after his 1st contract so he doesn't want to put in the effort to succeed on the pro level.

I agree with original poster. In both the pats and jets game, gruden really came across positive for the dolphins. Maybe he is buttering up the fans and owner.

Nobody loves mediocre quarterbacks like John Gruden. I do not want him to be our coach.

The telecast may have indeed been pro-Miami, but the pregame wasn't. All they did on ESPN was talk about the JETS. It got my goat a little. I just hate it when we are ignored.

I remember him saying something funny last night about his new contract like "I am going to keep this job for a while" (paraphrased) It sounds like he's happy there, and why not. He gets paid good money to watch good games and make silly comments. A gig that we all wish we had. If I were in his shoes I would avoid the pressure and media BS and keep filling my pockets doing nothing.

I think you are correct, but I also think he knows that we are very fixable with little work b/c we have great talent. I took his comments almost as suggestions to the coaching staff for later games. What I got out of the game is that the team no longer buys what the coaches are selling. It's time to change the belief system, culture and coaches.

Well, the guy is a coach. That's what drives him. He has a passion for it. You can tell it when he is doing his analysis. The guy wants to be back on the sidelines.

Him staying in TV would be like me getting a job with some consulting company where all I do is review patient charts. Yeah, it would be a good job, and the liability wouldn't be there. I wouldn't have to pay an exorbitant amount for malpractice insurance. However, my passion is treating my patients.

Don't think you can do that. Once you declare your eligibility is gone.

A sincere congrats for you being a DR. Nice job pal. I think you are right on this one. If the right deal came along I feel that he'd run to it. He just loves it too much. I just hope we are the right deal. What Ross sees in TS I am sure I have no idea. The team just doesn't believe in him anymore. They are unsure of him and even themselves. I like TS as a guy, I just feel with all of my heart its time for change.

Ross doesn't believe in TS, but after the bad press he got this offseason, he has to give the impression that he is giving the guy every opportunity to succeed.

I kept looking at the sidebar on the left hand side of the screen and everything was Jets. The only time it said Dolphins was when it was "Jets/Dolphins" There was not one stand alone Dolphins piece.

Bingo. They all saw what Ross did with his HC still sitting in the office. Gruden can quit ESPN tomrrow and nothing will happen to him monetarily with exception of never working for ESPN again. Big deal, if he did coach again then leave, any number of networks would sign him in a heartbeat.

If Gruden wants to coach again then as sure as God made green apples, he will. He can see and commented as such, maybe not straight forward , that the Dolphins are a poorly coached team. Our new OC is a joke. There is no progression for Blitz pick up in this offense at all, none, zero. Thats why the QBs are getting slammed.

You look around the league. Every single team thats doing well accounts for the blitz progressions with either 1 RB or a TE or both. Defenses know to put a man on our guards inside shoulder and he has to take him to the inside, they take our OTs out wide and a lber just comes thru untouched because we do not have anyone to pick him up. That is piss poor play scheme and planning.

As I said, look at other teams. they have account for the blitz pickups, its a necessity these days. Dumb phuck Sparano and dumber phuck Dahbol run long pass routes and no one to pick up the blitz. Its silly stupid. If you had not noticed, start watching for it.

That was just I am sorry money he gave Tony. To be honest, Ross does not even belong in the sports industry. He is trying to run it like his real estate empire. Screw this guy behind his back to get something and if you get caught, deny it till the end of time and open your wallet up. Sooner or later people forget. Well Ross, not in the sports industry. Its just a high profile possession for the man and it ends there. Its obvious he is not passionate or even close to being passionate.

I know it was really sad. It was almost like the Jets were playing the Jets or something. What a slap in the face to know that you are playing another team in a matter of minutes and no one even cares about it.

I agree. He said what he said most likely because his Public Relations team advised him to do so. That off season farce really left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. I don't think anyone would blame him for firing TS, but the trick is the how, not the why.
