We need to lose to win the Luck Bowl. Go Dolphins, keep up those FGs! Then next year we might have Luck vs. Tebow and the Dolphins will kick their @$$. Odds are we both finish last so we'll play them next year.
One ESPN article about Tebow's debut described Miami's defense as 'one of the worst in the league.' How does a defense go from a strength to one of the worst in one offseason with hardly any personnel turnover?
Please tell me I'm not the only one who just started cracking up when we had 3 straight dropped/missed passed in the red zone just now? I can't help it, it's just funny now. Save us Andrew Luck, our team is a joke.
I think the dropping of Crowder for Burnett has proven to be a mistake. That hurt our run defense and pass defense (in terms of having our players in the right spot). The poor safety play has been a huge factor. That really hurt our pass defense. The pass rush has also been poor, but I think the other two areas were our major downgrades.
Well, we were never going to go 0-16 and this was the easiest game on the schedule. Orton better finish the season as the Broncos QB, because they are awful right now. They may be the leaders for Luck now. We can still go 1-15. Colts still have to play Panthers, Jaguars x2, Titans x2. Broncos play Chiefs x2.
I have no doubt that Elway went to Fox and told him to play Tebow the rest of this season. Elway desperately wants to have the first draft pick, so he can select Luck. By playing Tebow the rest of this season, the Broncos have little chance of winning another game. Tebow is absolutely the worst QB in the NFL. There is no way the Broncos are going to win another game this season with Tebow as their starting QB. It is unbelievable that there are actually individuals on this forum who want the Dolphins to trade for Tebow. I am now fully convinced that those fans calling for the Dolphins to trade for Tebow are fans of the Jets, Patriots, or Bills.
Or they look at his red zone efficiency numbers and think "designed QB draw, touchdown." This was back when winning was in the Dolphins' interest, by the way.
This is hysterical....Dolphins deserve to lose this game. Why would anyone want a win after this awful performance? 15-0 lead with 5 minutes left and the Broncos tied it!
The Phins came up big today. They saw themselves falling out of the suck for luck race late in the game and they reached deep down within themselves and sucked harder to get back in 1st place.
DOLPHINS WIN....The Andrew Luck Bowl playoffs. Let's go Dolphins, keep it up!!!! Who said we don't cheer for them???
I'm so glad we didn't win this meaningless game in this meaningless season. Getting Luck is the only thing that matters this season. Then we can start worrying about wins again.
NFL.com is calling it the Miracle in Miami, the only problem is the promised one is the grand prize and we don't get him till the draft.
Armando Salguero, in the Miami Herald this morning argued that this Dolphins team is worse than the 2004 team which went 2-14, and the 2007 team which went 1-15. After blowing this game against the Broncos, I certainly will not disagree with Mr. Salguero. In fact, when you look at the rosters of the 2004, and 2007 teams, I would agree with him that those teams actually had more talent than this team does. I think this is the worst team in the history of the Dolphins and I have no doubt that both the 2004, and 2007 teams would defeat the 2011 team.
I think it is becoming increasingly difficult for Jeff Ireland to strut around the complex like a mad genius and the favorite son of Ross.
I don't know about the worst of all time, but I overestimated the talent on the Dolphins. I can understand the offensive woes, but the defensive ineptitude was epic in this game. Maybe Luck can play both ways.
I'm so sick of hearing about Luck that I'm hoping he says no to the Miami Dolphins. Maybe our fans can boo themselves.
I chalk it up to a complete implosion. The players are slowly quitting, even if some won't admit it. Take the Cowboys last year. Went from 11-5 to 6-10, and now look much better. If the Dolphins drop off 5 games like that, it would be 7-9 to 2-14.
