Congrats Dolphins!

Discussion in 'AFC East Rivals' started by BleedinGreenNC, Oct 23, 2011.

  1. I'd like to congratulate the Miami Dolphins - the first team since the NFL-AFL merger to lose a game when up 15-plus points with less than three minutes left in regulation. Congratulations - a heard earned feat well deserved!!!

I would have to question that stat. Manning over Tampa on MNF comes to mind. I think that was 3 TDs?

I am sure that made plenty of Miami fans happy because with every loss they come closer to securing the QB that is guaranteed to lead them to multiple championships. And as a Jets fan, you should be extremely upset because Luck in Miami guarantees NY a last place finish for as long as he is there. At least that is what I was told.

  4. If it was the Jets doing what they are doing for an unproven QB, we would be getting bashed. But its ok, they are true fans!

The amount of crap we would be taking would be enough to fill Sun Life Stadium. Do you think we would be able to say, "It's ok that we are awful. We are getting the next Joe Montana/Dan Marino/Tom Brady and we will be winning multiple championships with him!"? Something tells me that wouldn't fly

35-14 all the way to 38-35 in OT.

But that was in 4 minutes, not 3. So we're really just trying to build up the Tebow legend with this win.

Do you really believe that in one week of practice he could operate an NFL offense better than a 2 year starter? And if you do, would you say the same thing about Rivers?

I've read some stupid **** on this site recently, but this is just mind numbing.

By the way, which of the 3 Jets losses were solely on Sanchez? Baltimore where is was jailbreaked every time he dropped back to pass? Or is it Oakland where he missed all those tackles on McFadden. Or NE when he let NE march down the field and ice the game?

Never said that. In fact I told my 16 year old son today that I question whether this guy will ever take that next step. But to say a college QB could come in and do better in one week is about as stupid as it gets.

Cocky about what? Some of us just believe that Andrew Luck has a shot at being a top tier QB. It's not like only Dolphins fans think that. Saying he would be better than Sanchez in a week is an exaggeration but Luck's potential right now is a mile higher.

This thread is hilarious. Congrats to jet fans, you guys, although more wins in the regular season, have as many superbowls as these ****ty Dolphins you laugh at.

There are a lot of people who feel that getting Luck all but guarantees them a dynasty. But I do agree with you that Luck is a much better prospect than Sanchez ever was.

However, as any Dolphin fan should be keenly aware of, have a hall of fame QB (Marino) and a legendary coach (Shula) doesn't guarantee anything. But no doubt getting Luck would be the best thing for your organization.

Well Shula never quite put all of the pieces together for Dan. There was also some bad luck involved. If that 49ers dynasty would have had a down year in 84 and not made the Super Bowl then Dan probably gets that monkey off his back in year two. If those 90s Bills teams and their no huddle offense didn't happen to come along in the first half of the 90s and baffle the entire AFC then Dan probably gets another shot then.

Of course Luck doesn't guarantee us a dynasty. The Miami Dolphins have not taken a QB in the first round since 1983. It is time to change that and bring some hope in. He is the most touted prospect since Elway and Peyton. Well those two guys both lived up to the hype. He doesn't even have to be like those guys. Just good.

The reason the stinking Jets stay in things and keep their heads above water is because despite the fact that Fat Rex makes an *** of himself most of the time he is actually a real NFL head coach. Maybe we can get one of those one day. And a real QB to go along with it.

I think while Rex Ryan is a good coach. Hes destined to fail because he writes checks he can't cash and that wont go over well in that NYC market. He's got another two maybe three years to win a superbowl or hes out.

I'm not so sure about that. He would need to have a stacked team that implodes in season or in the playoffs for that to happen. As long as he keeps the Jets competitive he will be here for a while. The owner loves him. So does the NY media because they know it's easy to get a story from him. Do you think any other coach would have been asked how he thought he would have fared had he been hired by a team that turned him down? They goad him into the stories.

Rex is Rex and he will always think he has a team that can win it all. I do wish he would just keep it between himself and the team and hopefully he learns that lesson. But he is a good coach. In fact, in my years of rooting for the team, he is the best HC other than Parcells (and Belichick if you count his 5 minute tenure). That's not saying much, though!

Ouch this hurt, if this game meant something. I guess my response would be Rich Kotite & more recently Brett Favre. Enjoy the heartbreak this year.

I was only kidding. I really don't get any joy out of capping on a very bad Miami team. Honestly, I enjoy the rivalry much better when both teams are competitive.
