Well, I'm better than you because I support this team when we are down. Spin that!! I've said my peace in this thread, I'm done talking to part-timers here. Have a good night.
I don't need to spin that. I just need to recall the time when people used to say that "real Germans" didn't buy at Jewish stores to know what I think of self-proclaimed "real" whatevers.
You are not better than any of us. Go away "real fan" and think about how happy it will make you if Luck say he doesn't want to play for your favorite team.
Those weren't Dolphins fans cheering, there were TONS of Gators and/or Tebow fans. people posted pictures on Twitter of fans lining up with Tebow jerseys waiting for him.
What's really amusing is that I don't actually root against Miami, unlike some people. But I guess that I need to collect my yellow star anyway.
I wore my Ricky Williams Dolphins jersey on the NYC Subway in Jets (and Patriots somewhat) country during the 1 win season in 2007 after beating the Ravens. I proudly wore my Dolphins gear when I was at school in New England area after we selected Culpepper over Brees and had Patriots fans laugh at us for it. And I still wear it right now....but I'm looking to the future 2012 Dolphins now, not 2011. But I'm sick of cheering for mediocrity now though when we are staring Andrew Luck right in the face. I'm not cheering losses, I just don't care and I don't let losses bother me. I'm fine with it, no stress. I'm not going to cheer for meaningless wins when we could possibly have our own Peyton Manning because of losses. My cheering has no effect on the outcome of the game.
If it takes 0-16 to get Luck I'm all for it. I'm sorry but this kid is the best Qb prospect since Manning, maybe even a better prospect than Manning was at this point in their careers. Getting to 4-12 might be a moral victory but if it costs us Luck its not worth it.
[QUOT E=Aqua4Ever04; 1614391]No, but it gives you a really, really good chance of doing so. Seriously, what does 1 win do? Now that the Lions have done it, it's not a big deal any more at all.[/QUOTE] I never thought I would hope the Dolphins would have the worst record in the NFL or go 0-16. Yet I agree with you. One win this season could end up causing the Dolphins to lose Luck in the draft. While some individuals on this forum are always complaining about Luck and how he just might be a flop in the NFL. The vast majority of the talent scouts in the NFL are on record as stating that he will be the next great QB in the NFL. I guess some fans would be happy with the Dolphins winning a few games this season, even if it meant losing out on the best QB in a generation. There is a very good possibility that if the Dolphins win one or two games, there will be a team with less wins. This team will end up with Luck and the Dolphins will be forced to draft another QB in the first round who may or may not end up as a franchise type QB. Sad to say, but the Dolphins need Luck and if that means going 0-16 to secure him in the draft, so be it.
There's not a whole lot left to hope for this season is there.. I can't wait until most of these current players and coaches are history and we draft a real QB.
I am and will always be a Phinatic. I do and always will cheer for my team to win, and it's players to play well. I could never bring myself to do otherwise or wish for either to suck. That being said, I would like to be able to draft Luck, and will be very happy if that happens. I see no conflict in doing both as cheering for my team has absolutely no effect whatsoever on any outcome of any game. What is going to happen, will happen. JMO
Really, the only things left to hope for are Andrew Luck and not going 0-16. Problem is, you might need the latter to get the former.
Do the ****ing Colts and Rams have to suck this frickin bad. It used to be that 2-14 was a horrific season. Teams never lost that many games and if they did they were ridiculed. The Rams, Colts, and Jags have to be this pathetic. I think Jax wins 3, Indy 2 (beats Jax), and Rams maybe pull off one.
I would like one win. At home against the Jets would be nice. Getting a real QB is probably more important than anything else though. That and a head coach and GM. Nothing is more important than bringing competence to those positions. Certainly not one or two wins this season.
Jacksonville and Indy play twice. The Rams are in a terrible division with Arizona and Seatle. Those teams are our top compettition for Andrew Luck, Things are looking good for us.
I'm sure I'm not speaking for myself here, but it's just so damn insulting when someone questions my loyalty to the Miami Dolphins: I haven't missed a minute of a game in 14 years (when I got Directv Sunday ticket) I sat through every minute of 4-12. I sat through every minute of 1-15. I've sat through every minute of this 0-6. I get into work every day and one of my routines is to open an F'in Miami Dolphins message board I spend countless hours reading, discussing, and thinking Miami Dolphins I fly down to Miami at least once, usually twice a year to go see them live. I've spent thousands of dollars on flights, tickets, hotels, apparel, jerseys, etc. All that and we haven't won a playoff game in over a decade..... And some here call me a "fake" fan because I want a QB that will most likely put us back on the map!!!. Give me a damn break!!!
Seriously dude, he's part of this over-cliched you play to win the game, you this and that inflexible crowd. Everything is this way or that way for these guys, no long-term view of the situation. Zero, zip, nada.
I will say that I never root for the Fins to lose... and always cheer for my team. However... I certainly dont mind the losses...
Don't be too sure of that. They have two games against the Jags, one game against the Panthers, and a late-season game against the Texans who may be resting their starters as early as then. Houston is 2-0 in the division and the Titans have a rough Thanksgiving-Christmas patch, so it's conceivable that the Texans may take week 16 off depending on how the Titans handle a rough patch of schedule from weeks 9 through 14.
Go ahead and set the tone to be highly upset (in the end) if you want but the Colts are horrible and it does not matter if Miami is even worse.
Indy has way more winnable games than Miami. In the end Indy probably wins twice as many games a Miami. Miami 1-15 Indy 2-14
I agree with PSG. And god damn it Ozzy every time I see your signature I stop and stare for at least 10 seconds.
As I stated in another thread, welcome to the Toilet Bowl. I PVRd the game, was away this aft, and I cannot even watch it all. What a fricken joke. I had heard we were up at one point, and for the FIRST time in my life I was upset we were winning. Don't win games, it's stupid now. Getting boned in the draft with a 2-14 or 3-13 record makes no sense. We SUCK, write it off, and move forward with a pick appropriate to the **** on the field.
Except Peyton Manning is probably coming back. Why else is he still on the active roster? They'll get him some clean up work in the end. They will win. Rams have Bradford. They need to put talent around him, not draft another QB.
Set the tone to be upset? I disagree with you, that's all. The Colts do have winnable games on their schedule.
LMFAO. I turn on the Sunday nite game, and the Colts are losing 62-7. What a facking joke. Pile on the points girls, doesn't matter how much you lose by. Luck is on our side.
The Rams may not draft him, but Luck will go #1 regardless. It will be traded if they don't intend to draft him.
Take a look at the Rams schedule, they have had some really rough games so far, and have had no division games yet.
