The mentioned deal didn't fall through. Thoughts on Andre Johnson, Greg Jennings, Rashard Mendenhall, and Matt Hasselbeck for Adrian Peterson, Brandon Lloyd, Percy Harvin, and Ben Roethlisberger? Originally the offer was Johnson/Jennings for Peterson/Lloyd and I didn't feel like it was worth it. This would be my counter-offer but I'd love some input before I submit it. I'm not looking to deal Peterson but I have been fielding offers and I only want to get something in return where I feel like I am coming out ahead. With Michael Turner and Darren McFadden as my other two running backs, I feel like I can be picky.
No way would I trade Bowe for Jackson. Bowe is playing great this year, with alot of energy. Jackson is bound to get hurt again. Bowe is a monster.
Kevin Walter or Anquan Boldin...Deangelo Williams or Delone Carter? non ppr. What ya'll think? Boldin/Carter?
I like Boldin/Williams. Wouldn't feel strongly about Williams but did show a little last week. I don't expect 17 again but he's still a good RB, and Carter is going against a good Cincy D; both are likely to split carries and to be down in the game. Could come down to whoever gets that goal line touchdown.
So what do you guys think about Decker this week going against our Dolphins? I have Vincent Jackson, Nate Washington, and Santonio Holmes as available WR (starting three). Our pass defense has been bad and I could see Saint Timmy coming in and having a good game, Decker making the most of his opportunity with Lloyd gone. I do worry though that Tebow does struggle passing and more waiting for that combo to have a good game before going with them.
Need help this week with my team. Since Jahvid Best is 99% out with his concussion I need someone to fill my Flex spot I can plug in his back up like I did last week Maurice Morris or try my luck with Spiller Morris is going to get 10+ touches but Spiller has been lining up as a WR and this is a PPR league and Spiller will spell Jackson if needed. only other option is Jacoby Jones rest of bench is on a Bye
Need some bye week QB help. Normally I have Rodgers. Should I go with Ponder vs Carolina or Dalton vs Sea?
Rookie quarterbacks are always risky. I'd probably ride with Dalton because I think Seattle has the worse of the secondaries and Dalton has more experience than Ponder.
hmmm... Morris looked blah in Detroit and they are also so pass heavy, I honestly think they'll start moving towards Kieland Williams at RB... if its PPR id start Jones if Andre doesn't play... as for Spiller, i guess it'll be to his benefit that they came off of a bye and he can get more accustomed to a WR type role... but still risky to me... but i dont like the Morris play at all regardless... id go Jones without Andre, or Spiller... Byroan i like the Ponder play against Carolina out of those choices... their pass D has given up mucho points this year, even Beck hit the 20s against them last week... Dalton has been a consistent player, but Seattle is just always a different team at home, and a young team in Cincy going across country to that raucous stadium... hmmm id play Ponder
I have Torian vs Hardesty for the flex. Torain is obviously a Shanahan RB, and I've been burned before. Hardesty is up against SF, who have one of the toughest run defenses. I'm leaning strongly toward Torain. Helu will be involved, but they've saved him for passing downs the last few weeks. Hardesty is just not that good.
Hardesty could get you a few good games I think but won't be against the 49ers I doubt, then Hillis may get healthy and factor in. Torain seems the safer play, in my opinion.
I have a dilemma..... Hernandez or Fred Davis...?? Consider the matchups.....NE/PIT....BUF/WASH..... Washington has some people out so Davis is the go to guy, but he could get doubled.....Hernandez is going against Pitt but Brady does well against Pitt... hmmmmm? Big game guys to, for 1st place...
I have Vernon Davis and Hernandez on my team and of course they share a bye last week, so grabbed Fred Davis and used him last week. I like Fred a lot but just can't keep three TE so let him go, then made a trade involving Vernon and picked Fred back up. lol I now have the same decision as you and going with Hernandez. Davis could outscore him but it's hard to sit Hernandez. I was able to trade Vernon Davis and Eric Decker for Michael Vick and Greg Olsen; good trade? As I said I have Hernandez and now have Fred Davis to replace Vernon. My QB is Matt Ryan and his is Cam Newton (Panther fan and took him last round of Draft just to be a homer) so with Vick on his bench I think he was just trying to get something for him. He originally wanted Holmes over Decker, but I trust Holmes and Sanchez more than Decker and Tebow. He gets a good TE, though I think he is giving up on Olsen too fast, and I upgrade at QB. I'm a Ryan fan and have Turner so it was nice getting 99% of the Falcons TDs, but Ryan isn't Vick. I should probably keep Ryan as Vick insurance but really need a RB so maybe I could flip Ryan for someone.
I like NE here and they move Hernandez around so much that alot of times he is split out at WR, he is a monster. Not to mention you have a HOF QB throwing to an excpetional talent in Hernandez, or John Beck throwing to a "good" TE in Davis.
Very good trade, awesome trade....not only is do u get a good QB back, but a solid TE, that your guy Cam goes to alot.....u can combo TD's...I have Vernon this year in my other league, and he is very inconsistant this year.... Between what you and Fin-O were saying, I am going Hernandez...was leaning towards him anyway.....thanks guys!!
I got Michael Vick, Greg Olsen (who I'll drop since I have Hernandez and Fred Davis) He got Vernon Davis, Eric Decker. I like the trade for me because with Hernandez, Vernon Davis is just a guy who I only play if the match-up is great or Hernandez gets hurt. Now I have Fred Davis as insurance. Decker I was probably going drop after this week unless he really went off, no confidence in Tebow making him a good fantasy WR. Bad thing is the league manager has to accept it before we get the players and I have Matt Ryan on a bye, I need the trade accepted today so I can use Vick. I have Painter at the moment on the crazy thought of him and the Colts playing well, may grab Cassel though to buy time for the trade to be accepted with Cassel on MNF and Vick on SNF. Yeah, I mean if Fred Davis is the higher scorer this week I wouldn't be shocked but I think the Redskins could struggle and the Patriots won't. Hernandez has Brady throwing it and is getting a lot of looks.
Well Redskins struggled but surprisingly so did the Patriots. F. Davis got 9 in my league compared to 6 with Hernandez so wrong call but not a huge discrepancy. I had the Lions D which netted me 29, third to Jackson's 30 and McCoy's 31. Week 10 when Patriots play at the Jets and Redskins play at Miami, I may go with Davis with how we do against TE.
I have went from 4-0 to 4-4.... My team has potential imo but for whatever reason I cant get a victory. QB Rivers RB M Forte RB M Jones-Drew RB D Murray WR M Austin WR V Jackson TE A Hernandez DEF Hou/Chicago K Dan Bailey Both my starting WRs are being used in the slot for some reason by their offensive coordinators, this is hindering their production here lately. But im all in with this team just hope I catch some fire in the playoffs
I was offered Jahvid Best for Chris Johnson. Johnson really disappointed against Indianapolis and when healthy, Best has looked good. I am strongly contemplating pulling the trigger because this is the league where I am struggling most. And a poor outing against Indianapolis has caused me to lose complete faith in CJ2K. QB - Stafford/Hasselbeck RB - Rice/C.Johnson/Torain/Murray/Grant WR - Marshall/V.Jackson/Garcon/Decker TE - V.Davis/Clark It's a QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLEX league... .5 PPR. I am contemplating countering him Johnson/Garcon for Best/Maclin. What are your guys thoughts??
Hmmmmmm. I haven't been paying too much attention to Garcon, but I'm assuming Maclin is an upgrade? I don't know. Best's health is a major concern. And the last good game he had I think about 90% of his points came on 2 carries. He's one of those boom or bust guys. Is there concrete information out there yet that Best will play again this year? I'd wait till I had news on that before pulling the trigger.
Would any of you drop DeAngelo Williams for Javon Ringer at this point? I'm considering it. It's for RB4, and we start 2. Also: Blount @ NO or Greene @ Buff? Also: John Baldwin against our Phins? or Damian Williams vs. Bengals?
Falcons against the Colts. Bengals D is good, but the Colts are so so helpless. And as many of us speculate, Colts seem to be trying to lose. And what's the easiest way to lose? A sketchy looking turnover and a half assed effort at stopping the defense from scoring. Falcons get at least 1 DEF TD this week. Count it! Care to give me your opinion on my questions?
The irony is that the high paid feature backs (Williams and Chris Johnson) are being outplayed by their backups. Due to the contracts both backfields will end up in timeshares, though Ringer has more upside now and in the future. Blount is getting the 3rd down duties in Tampa Bay this week, and Green is going up against an underrated front 7 in Buffalo. Blount, and it's not even close, even more so if your league is PPR. Ugly matchups there. Baldwin had a nice game on Monday night, but he's still a rookie and is going to be starting just his third game. Damian Williams is not very good and held to 1 catch or less in 5 of 7 games this season. Both have the potential to goose egg this Sunday, and as such I'd personally avoid them. That said if you do have to pick one, I'd go with Baldwin based on potential and matchups - no telling if Davis is still banged up, and even if he isn't he has Bowe across to relieve coverage.
I would run - don't walk - as far away from Chris Johnson as fast as you can. If you can get value - any value really - for him you should do it. The rumor is that Ringer has supplanted CJ2K as the lead runner in Tennessee, and even if he hasn't, that backfield is heading into split territory. With Best you have a nice combo runner ina lead back role who will be healthy for the playoff push. He and Rice should be money in the playoffs.
I agree with Monster. It's not a bad strategy to simply go against whomever has the Indianapolis Tankers. That said, the Bengals D is very good and Tennessee is still a pretty bad team. Both are solid plays this weekend.
I just saw this. But no. I'd go with Dalton over all of them. McCoy is the closest I'd consider, but he really would need to show something over the next few games to convince me.
Too late now..lol I went with Ponder. I still won the game. 8-0 now with Rodgers back. Samsung Epic 4G via Tapatalk
Not sure about Ringer Williams thing right now to be honest. But I would go Blount, they will likely ride him til the wheels fall of in that game IMO. He's good when healthy. And Baldwin. He will score at least one. Probably a simple jump ball that one our DBs just play terribly.
Thanks guys. Agree about Blount, but my biggest concern there at this point is that New Orleans bounces back in a big way and that game gets one sided quickly. New Orleans seems to be 2 different teams at home and on the road this year.
I think neither is a safe pick, honestly. I think both Blount and Greene could disappoint you HOWEVER I believe Blount has the higher ceiling. I think Blount could have that 100 yard, 2 TD game... but Greene? I can't see him hitting the endzone more than once. But hey, Greene and Blount aren't bad options to choose from... both are good RB2 options. I have to choose between Brandon Jacobs, Ryan Torain, and Pierre Thomas if Darren McFadden can't go in my money league... talk about rough!
I'm 8-0 in this league going against a 6-2 team. Would you go with Benson vs the 27th ranked run defense (Tenn), or D. Murray vs 11th ranked run defense (Sea)? Murray's been playing well but I like Benson's matchup.
Murray is a special player, but he's in a pass-first offense. Last game, the Cowboys had first a goal and the 2 (down by like a billion) and elected to pass the ball (unsuccessfully) four times in a row. I really believe Murray could be the top pickup this year IF Dallas actually lets him run the ball once in a while. Still, Murray is the superior back. I'd go with your best players if there's ever any doubt. Benson will give you 70 yards and score, Murray might go off for 150+ again.
I'm quoting myself to bask in my own genius. Once again, however, Murray gets next to no action inside the 10. More Tony Romo insanity and, to get crazy, a Tony Romo draw play.
I switched between the Phins game and Dallas just to see what Murray was doing and the Cowboys had plenty of opportunity to give him the ball in the red zone. The good news is I'm winning and I still have two players left, my opponent has none.
So would you guys play Maurice Morris at Chicago or Brandon Jacobs at San Francisco? I am hurting from injuries (I brought it upon myself, I decided to buy low on 2 guys who were hurt being I am doing well... Andre Johnson and Miles Austin and I have Darren McFadden as my normal flex guy with Adrian Peterson and Rashard Mendenhall manning the other RB spots) and just unsure which bad match-up to take on. Luckily, my team will be beasting it in the playoffs.
