Having the worst record this season. If 0-16 is the magic number, then so be it...

IDK if this has been said or not, I am sure it has been but this is how I veiw this whole thing. The players are upset at the fans for this whole "Suck for Luck" thing and I understand. They aren't built that way, they aren't built to think about next yr,they are built to win now and to be competitive all the time. So the idea of "tanking" the season is a slap in the face to them. I get it. That being said, most of us have been phin fans for yrs, upon yrs upon yrs and we are fed up with mediocrity. It is time this franchise took steps to become an elite franchise again. We booed Henne, yeh, we did. We knew he wasn't the answer. We booed Sparano, yeh, did that too, he's not the answer either. We want results. For the THIRD time within a decade the Dolphins after this yr will probably self implode and start over. This is not how you run a franchise.

I like how these threads are surpassing the Henne threads. 2 realities man, 2 realities.

    Lol.

Well Henne is pretty much history. So I am not sure there is that much to talk about on that front. The new coach and GM are going to want their guy at QB. So Henne might be around 1 maybe 2 seasons max in Miami as a starter. So I don't even venture in to Henne threads anymore.

But you are right this is the new hot topic

I agree 1000% but that's easier said than done. We were all saying the same thing when the Tuna took control of football operations. I'm really concerned about the direction of the franchise with Ross as the owner. Hopefully, he brings some competent people in to clean up this mess!!

My point being theses are the new lightning rod not that Henne is coming back. But while I'm there I would like to see him come back just to see the turmoil on the board.

IMO I think it is a combo of a bunch of things personally that has alot of Miami fans feeling this way (myself included)

--Luck being as close to a sure thing as there is in THE hardest position to hit on as well as the most important. Jones is pretty close as well
--The QB carousel for the past 16 years.
--The need to see the entire regime ousted..ie anything to do with Parcells (Sparano, and Ireland etc) Parcells is getting like Saban to FinFans at this point.
--The whole 3 wins leaving Miami out of the running.
--Dolfans need for instant gratification after just living through the "rebuilding phase" that didn't rebuild anything but a need to rebuild again.
--And for me the most important......

This franchise say what you want has done some things over the past couple of years that really makes you scratch your head. For me personally because not much surprises me these days, if Miami doesn't have the #1 pick, would you be that shocked if they went another route other than QB?? Say even if a Jones is on the board still. I want Miami to get the #1 pick so there is no doubt in anybody's mind what you do with that pick, and even still I get nervous they would peddle it for picks...

I think the defense is fixable, a few adjustments and they will be better than they are, hell they have improved already over the course of the year. If Luck comes to Miami, you are talking a decent WR corp to throw too, something in the backfield (still needs work but headed in the right direction), and oh yeah just the best LT in football protecting his blind-side who is just entering his prime. Luck can, will, and has a very good shot to succeed here right away. Especially in todays game, a guy like Luck can change the fortunes of a franchise very quickly.

Just my .02 guys/gals, dont need to get bashed for it, but I think alot of people on the Luck locomotive will agree with me, and if he busts out hey I give up at this point and just accept they aren't going to very good for a long time.

Point out where I said it has any bearing. Oh, I didn't. Those few wins he wants are pointless wins, which in turn equals a playoffless season, which is the definition of mediocrity. Like I said, he might enjoy that ****, and hopes to continue that path, but I don't, and won't.

KP said he'll root for his team, but we can win or lose regardless. You said that rooting for his team would lead to the above.

Nope, sure didn't. You're only seeing what you want to see. That somehow saying "you'll get" means "would lead to" instead of what I really meant by it, that should we win meaningless game, he'd have gotten exactly what it is he roots for, which is mediocrity and playoffless seasons.

I don't think the SFL movement is necessarily a wish or desire to see the our Dolphins lose or tank the season. I see the SFL as a coping mechanism to try and find something positive about being winless and continuing to lose. Its trying to see something positive in a totally negative situation and to keep from having to buy new TV remotes all season long. I don't root for the Dolphins to lose and I still cheer for them when they play well and do good things.
Its easy to get excited when your team is being competitive and playing well, but its very hard to get excited and say good things when your team is playing poorly and making obvious mistakes. Its nice to have something to have hope for, even when you seem to be in a hopeless situation with very little to look forward to.

What is one more losing season for this team? I am numb to the bull****tery and general incompetence of failed regime after failed regime Year after year its been the same ****ty product. And why? Because you CANNOT ignore the most important position in football for almost 12 goddamn years. And now we have a chance to get the best QB prospect in years, so yes, Suck for Luck. Think of the big picture, if it means 0-16 then so be it. The Lions were the first team to do it so who gives a **** at this point?

You build your team around QB, we built it around a LT. What do we have to look forward to if we win a few games?

What exactly have we built around the LT?
Sometimes I still feel Jake Long is over rated.

    Lose Fins Lose..

This team has been losing for 10 years, who gives a flying F. Luck is the highest rated QB coming out of college in like the last 25 years.

I can't for the life of me how people just don't get it? Or maybe they think it makes them a bad fan? Tough cookies.

    maybe,

but in my personal case, it's legit. i've been on the SFL wagon since july. well before the season started.......

the dolphins need to land some big time draft picks and a new regime instead of the constant 6-8 win seasons. no playoffs, no high draft picks.... perpetual loser. gotta stop that trend. even if we made the playoffs, we are 1st round target practice for another team to beat up on.
