Well, typically I'm not a fan of advocating the signing of a just waived player, however with Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace out for the yr, we are down to: Marshall, Bess, Hartline, Gates. At wr, they could call up Julius Pruitt from the practice squad, or maybe use Charles Clay more at Wr as he played it in college, and just put Lexxy back in a fullback. However Robiskie knows Daboll's system from Cleveland, is low cost, and unlike Clay or Pruitt has started games at Wr, should we add him for depth or just stick with who we have right now?
Sure why not. Might as well take a flier. Maybe after we get a competent coaching staff in here they can get something out of the guy.
Two points: 1. We're pretty desperate if we are considering signing Cleveland Browns castoffs. Yikes. 2. I don't believe that Robiskie plays special teams, which I would think would be a requirement of our #5 WR. I'd rather have someone who not only knows the system but may actually contribute a play or two in the special teams area of the game. From a roster perspective it's a better use of resources.
The season is lost.A perfect opportunity to give Gates and Clay more reps. Having said that we will probably add a warm body for depth.
Was never impressed with this guy, even at OSU. So, I guess what I'm saying is, yes. Sign him and start him.
He's to speedy and may make some explosive plays, so of course we would not be interested in resigning him.
I'n with CT on giving Gates and Clay more snaps. We are going to need 2 guys on ST's. Did Pruitt play there?
well if we are not in positionto get Andrew Luck I say lets give a retread like Adariius Bowman and Chris Chambers a chance and then we have depth and then trade down in the draft and try like hell to get more draft picks and fix the secondary and tightend spot.
If Daniel Thomas would get (and stay) healthy, another alternative would be to slide Reggie Bush out to a slot receiver. When he gets to the outside he's dangerous and has big play capability, but not much in the backfield, especially with how ****ty our OL is playing. Just a thought.
You know how this works I see... Pruitt has played ST before, last yr iirc, problem is he has been on the ps for 2 yrs, if that is all he has done it is likely that is all he will ever do in Miami.
Hartline sprained and ankle today and Gates is still walking with a limp from a groin problem. Robiskie does not seem that far fetched now that we are down to Marshall and Bess as the only healthy Wr's. Personally I'd use CClay at Wr a bit, but we shall see.
Well, so much for that one, looks like Bess/Marshall and a couple of gimps at Wr. Maybe #19 will finally get thrown the ball enough to earn his check?
Marshall is the only WR Moore seems to see. A new M&M, where footballs melt in your hands, while being candy coated.
There will be no Robiskie in that he is now a Jaguar. The Dolphins either promote someone, sign a street free agent, or take someone off someone else's practice squad. My guess is that Pruitt will be promoted. I thought Robiskie made sense, but I thought too much for the Dolphins.
It's not like we are missing out on a great player. Robiskie has a whopping 3 catches for 25 yards this year, and 441 yards receiving in his career. Factor in the fact that he doesn't play special teams and you can understand why the Dolphins passed.
Hey why not, didn't Matt Cassel(or however you spell it) throw passes to two different linemen on Monday night vs San Diego? Those big boys were actually getting it done lol. Even though one of them was shying from contact and ran out of bounds. Id love to see big Paul dragging defenders in the endzone..... oh wait we only use little scatback type players in the redzone instead of our big bodies...
