I know I know The title LOL of course no Dolphin is going to make it to the Pro-Bowl This year, and rightly so. So since we are outside looking in on anything football related this year I thought it might be fun to see who you guys and gals feel is the teams MVP this year. It will be hard, as the entire team is full of dung front the top down, but if I had to pick one player who has been one of the better players this year I would have to say its been Daniel Thomas. While he hasn't lit the world on fire he has been pretty good and reliable for a rookie and behind a horrible offensive line.
I don't understand. Daniel Bush? Why wouldn't Cameron Wake or Jake Long make the Pro Bowl given the nature of how voting goes?
Wake deserves to go. He's ranked #4 of all 3-4 LB's with 5 sacks, 10 hits, and 21 pressures, in spite of being "The Lone Ranger" in rushing the QB. Hali is #1 with 6 sacks, 7 hits, and 17 pressures. Ware is #2 with 12 sacks, 5 hits, and 21 pressures. Phillips, in limited play, is #3 with 3- 4- 12. Matthews is #5 with 3 sacks, 12 hits, and 19 pressures. Wake is more than holding his own. Hope he makes it, and gets a bonus for doing so. Cam is getting paid lunch money by NFL standards @ $540 THOUSAND a year. Got to admire the guy for not *****ing, moaning, demanding a new deal or a trade. Yeah, he deserves going to the Pro Bowl. If Cam is not our MVP, it has to be Fields. He has had a great year but Lechler has pretty much matched him. Fields has a 48.1 yard avg, 40.5 net, and 16 inside the 20. Lechler has a 51.6 avg, 40.3 net, and 11 inside the 20. Very, very close.
He is a guy from the political Bush family. He may not be real but that never stopped the others, by the same name, from being elected. LOL
Only Fields! Daniel (Bush) Thomas hasn't played enough even though he has shown promise. Reggie Bush has been used incorrectly or he could have had an outside chance since he has shown flashes. I am convinced Jake Long hasn't played to his usual Pro Bowl level not because he has lost anything, but because he is playing with an injury he hasn't recovered from. Pouncey has definitely shown abilities and something special for the future but not Pro Bowl yet. Marshal has shown he still has it he just hasn't used it yet. Carey is being used out of position and hasn't been at a Pro Bowl level in a long time, he is an adequate Right Tackle but we all know the story there. All of the hope that was part of our Pre Season expectations for the defense has all but disappeared. Its amazing how so many players that we all thought were ready to play really well and be one of the leagues best can all under perform at the same time. Cameron Wake is still the best pass rusher we have but without another player who can apply consistent pressure from the other side, Wakes sub par games become more visible. Its really disappointing that a defense we expected to be top 10 or maybe even top 5 can't have anyone even close to being a Pro Bowl player.
Sadly, no one from the Dolphins deserve Pro Bowl recogniztion this year. No one is standing out. No one is making plays. Yea, I can see the point for Cameron Wake, but really? Has he really done anything to change a game in our favor? I think, unless something drastically turns around, this will be the first year that there will be no Miami Dolphin selected for the Pro Bowl.
how sad is this team when the only person we can come up with is our punter............and he doesn't even have the best numbers IN the AFC
