None of the QB's aside from Luck do much for me. Not because none of them are good, but going from Luck to any of the other options is like going from sleeping with the captain of cheerleading squad to sleeping with the homely girl that works in the library.

Weedon will turn 29 years of age in October 2012. To me he will turn out to be another Chris Weinke. Weinke played pro baseball for a few years, until he recognized that he wasn't good enough to play at the top level. He went to FSU and eventually was an outstanding college QB and ended up winning the Heisman in his senior season. He was 28 years old when he entered the NFL. He was never anything more then a journeyman QB in the NFL and he was out of the NFL after just a few years.

Weedon played professional baseball but he also was never able to reach the major leagues. He too has been an outstanding college QB. Of course having the best wide receiver in college on his team certainly has helped. I don't see Weedon being a big success in the NFL. I also think that it is very unlikely he will be drafted in the first round because of his advanced age. I don't know if Jones or Barkley will end up being a franchise type QB, but I would certainly take my chances on these younger QB's over a 29 year old rookie QB. If he was 22 or 23 years old, Weedon may be worth the risk, but not at 29 years of age.

Usually the homely girl is a freak in disguise. And usually not a giant head case like the cheerleader captain. Not saying that is the case in your comparison of any of these QBs unless someone has some insight on that matter

Actually there's more start-up challenge in the homely librarian chick. While it'd argue it'd be less of a challenge to go after the jizzrag cheerleader.

As was stated above, the homely chick is probably a freak too. So there's that.

To paraphrase a favorite politician....I know Weinke when I see it, and he is no Weeden (Weeden is no Weinke in reverese) I know Weinke when I see it, and Weeden as a QB (regardless of age similarity) is no Weinke!

I would draft Tannehill before I draft Barkley!

OK, fine. Forget about the homely chick from the library, you guys are probably right.
Think more along the lines of the fat chick in the back of homeroom who doesn't wear deodorant and talks to herself.

At this point I don't care which chic we're sleeping with. Either way it's far better than staying home and playing with ourself like we have every prom night for the past 10 years.

Hogging is not my bag.....anymore....but there are fair points made. This team has for so long been cursed at QB, it is to a point where anything will do. Any of the top 3 QBs mentioned will do. I think the more appropriate comparison would be Luck is the smokin hot chick you see at the bar, talk to and get shot down by, Barkley is the less attractive companion but is attractive in her own right, Jones is the cute chick that isn't your type, but hey...she seems willing. Weeden is the cougar that may teach you a thing or two, but you are afraid that she may break a hip if you take her home.

So, I'm guessing Kellen Moore is that chick who looks good only because she's the only one in her crowd who resembles a female.

Guys, it's kinda like being at the bar at closing time... Everybody looks a little better then..

When it's our turn to draft... we may have a better choice... but compared to what's been around the past dozen years or so...
every one of them looks like a Miss America competitor to me. I mean we had a date with the buck-toothed, cross-eyed, bad breathed, nasal voiced perfect figure One called Lucas....The cougar, the blond surfer, or the big plain faced one would be better than that blind folded and hobbled.

Obvious that plugging a QB in will not equal wins. Through the years anyways....

IMO Barkley or Jones would easily be #1 overall picks in most years. Luck is a better #1 overall prospect, but that doesn't mean the other options are poor. I would say that a more apropos analogy would be that going from Luck to Barkley is like going from banging the hottest cheerleader to another hot cheerleader.

but the non-deodorant wearing fat chick certainly clears up your point. lol

Luck is like banging Jessica Alba along with her best looking girlfriend. Barkley is like banging just Alba. Either way you're getting something priceless.

    Good enough?

    And thanks for the welcome.

if Luck turns out to not be an option ... which is 'most' likely given where we are at today - and the likelihood of winning ~ 3 games (including tomorrow against the terrible SKINS) ...

then my #2 is Jones without a doubt.

I worry about Jones' pocket awareness. I like my QBs to do a bit better when the play or the protection breaks down. I see that as a red flag with him. On the other hand, that's one area where Barkley excels.
