Did anyone else notice Steve Ross smiling on the sidelines when the Dolphins lost? That's a little odd.

This is how they can fix football games like they did on Sunday against the Broncos. They call the wrong defense on purpose and the fans are none the wiser.

Dolphins say they ran wrong defense when Tebow tied the game

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ong-defense-when-tebow-tied-the-game/related/

"Dolphins defensive coordinator Mike Nolan wasn’t blamed by name, but if the players think the wrong defense was on the field, that sounds like an indictment of Nolan. And the defense clearly thinks the wrong defense was on the field."

“We had the wrong personnel on the field, to be honest,” defensive lineman
Tony McDaniel said. “They spread us out and ran it up the middle. I always knew [Tebow] was going to try to run the ball when they got in the red zone. He just found a way, made a play and they got a win.”

Like Nolan doesn't know what defnese we should be in?? Come on !! Nolan knew we were in the wrong defense. Could this be any more obviously fixed??? Combine this oddity with Ross seen smiling during and after we lost and it's pretty hard to dismiss. No one scores 18 points that fast without help when they couldn't score the first 7/8's of the game. We are losing because someone is filling their pockets when we are doing it. Good god guys, open your eyes!

It sure makes you wonder if the league wanted to see Tebow make good on his first start more than it did having us win one lousy game. It's whatever serves the leagues best, and selling Tebow jersey's is better for them than having us win a game - think about it. It is a business after all and they want to sell product.

Not even the last game with Denver when they scored 18 points that quickly and a few Dolphin players admitted to having been in the wrong defense? I don't want to think its rigged either, I really don't, but it's hard to dismiss FBI files on the subject. hey? what ever happened to King Motion now that a few facts are surfacing? It's more than just opinions now. I would like his take on this.

If these guys can't see that these games are fixed by quarters after the Giants game they must have a brain the size of a walnut.

It's the same script week after week; Jets, Giants, Broncos it doesn't matter. All of a sudden in the 2nd half we end up in the wrong defense and let the other team catch up, our QB forgets how to scramble and starts forcing the ball, our pass rush vanishes and when we do line up on the goal line we run obvious running plays right into a defense whose stacked the box. We should have beaten the Jets, Broncos and the Giants by at least 10 points, but something, or someone won't let us win.

These games are so blatantly and obviously fixed I might actually have to stop watching them. What have they done to the game of football?

Oh so they are fixed if Miami is playing.....got it....LOL:lol:

disregard NYG not running the ball to eat the clock sooner....no its only fixed when our QB gets sacked twice (without fumbling) and then we throw a deep pick over the middle...yeah, thats when its fixed.:wink2:

Ya might wanna read the thread before you post. I am sure a many games are fixed, but our last three are obvious. Haven't you noticed a pattern forming every week on how we keep losing? Watch the last qtr of our three games to refresh your memory. It's the same script week after week.

The Giants not running the ball in their last drive was kind of fishy.

The Marshall PI call was crap, but that happens.

It was great to see us win in a blow out 31 - 3!

Do you have any idea how much money the bookies made today? A last place team pounding a first place team?? And in case no one noticed KC losing put everyone in a three way tie for first place in the AFC West just like the Jets beating the Bills did in the AFC East.

    http://www.nfl.com/standings

Not only did the Bookies make a killing on the Dolphins the NFL now has a tied divisions so they can sell more tickets, hats, shirts, and hot dogs in all the cities tied tied for 1st place. It's a business guys, not a sport and they know exactly how to get the most profit from their product.

I even think the media is starting to figure it out.

Where was this Dolphins team all season?

The AFC North is in a three way tie too.

If you go to an odds maker and ask them to mathematically calculate the odds of the three of four divisions in the AFC having three way ties the odd would run into the billions. There is no way this can keep happening and being a coincidence every year. You would have a better chance of being struck by lightening three times in your pinkie toe.

  15. To think that there is nobody that is cheating and influencing certain games in the NFL to satisfy people in Vegas would be naive but I doubt its as rampant as some in this thread are trying to make it out to be. The NFL generates Trillions of dollars and the leauge is not going to risk that by allowing a rampant culture of corruption to exist within it. Again I am not discounting the rouge ref, player, coach but in general I think the games are on the up n up.

The age old question. . . . . "HOW DO THEY KEEP EVERYONE FROM TALKING?"

“In order to receive his pension, former League treasurer Austin H. Gunsel had to sign a contract with a gag clause reminiscent of those required of retiring CIA officers: “…neither shall Gunsel, without the prior consent of the Commissioner of this League, publish any newspaper or magazine article, book or publication, nor submit to any newspaper, radio or television or other interview or program which discusses, involves, or refers to the affairs or activities of the National Football League, its officers or employees, or to any of the member clubs thereof, or their owners, officers, employees or others holding any interest therein.”

THIS IS NOT A SPORT - IT IS A MULTI-NATIONAL BUSINESS!!!! The league makes the fix because it benefits them. The fix (parity as they like to call it) helps entire divisions tie for first place which sells more tickets, concessions, TV marketing, merchandising and helps pay the enormous and growing payroll. They are a self contained business entity that, with the agreement of all the owners, fix their own games for their own greater profits. Didn't Miami beating the first place Chiefs create a three way tie for first place in the West? Ties make them more money, the league is fixing their own games for their own profit.

HOW DID THE AFC EAST, NORTH AND WEST ALL END UP IN THREE WAY TIES? Guys, this is mathematically impossible

The better question is this: how does it seem to keep happening year after year?

It took me a long, long time to finally admit that this is fixed. I fought it tooth and nail. It seems like the old timers knew and accepted it easier then we do. My Grandfather and his brothers told me for years that it was fixed, and boy did we argue. I wish they were here now to see what I am posting now.

They can't give each player acting lessons and the sentiment when they lose is of real disappointment. I would have to think that the NFL is fixing the divisions to keep them tight for the profits, and the it is fixing is "mostly" on the coaching level. By calling the wrong plays or by being in the wrong defense / etc the game would be lost and the players would be out of the loop.

Just two weeks ago (against Denver) our players were complaining that we ran the wrong defense allowing Tebow to run up the middle with ease to win the game. That in itself begged many questions. If that defense came right from Nolan, could that game have been fixed to sell Tebow jerseys and make his big debut a fantastic? If it puts money in the NFL's hands I think they'll do just about anything.

I am really disappointed though, does everything from politics to the NFL have to suck? Can't we even be allowed to watch a real football game anymore?

It's nuts I know, but about three years ago I really started having suspicions and thinking it was all rigged for their own profits. I fought it like hell, trust me, I didn't want to believe it, I was in denial but eventually I had to give in. All you have to do is follow the money and you will see who benefits from it.

Don't be surprised if the Bills lose again this week and we win again. We play each other in the big "rivalry" next week and they have to tighten the odds. In fact if this doesn't happen I'll be amazed.

Man did you predict that one!! Do you have a crystal ball?

They are obviously working hard to tighten up the odd when we play Buffalo, and they are doing a good job of it. It would be impossible to pick a point spread for that game now, just the way they like it. Good old vegas - playing with games as usual.

Did you also notice that most of the teams that were tied for 1st this week played each other? (Oak -vs- SD?, Pitt -vs- Cin?, NE -vs- NYJ?) It would have been equally impossible to pick spots on those games either. Next week Cin plays Bal (both in a tie), Jax plays Clev (both with the same record), on, and on, and on, and on. . . . . .

The bookies make a fortune, the NFL sells tickets, hotdogs and shirts and the stupid fans just keep refusing to see the obvious fix. Week after week - year after year, on, and on, and on. . . . They will fight to the death that this isn't fixed but all they have to do is look at the big picture.

If ignorance is bliss this is Eden!

Not sure if it has been asked, but can one of you who believe in this conspiracy explain to me how this happens? How they keep the lid on it? How they have prevented hundreds of players who would have plenty of incentive for blowing the lid off the whole game rigging after losing their huge contracts? Thousands upon thousands of people would have to be involved. That's some big secret that many people are keeping.

In football you call holding or pass interference. In basketball, you call a foul. You only need one ref, no one else has to know.

One ref can fix an entire season? Last I checked, 1 ref can only affect the outcome of 1 game every week. And if he consistently made awful, suspicious calls he would get the wrath of the league and his co-workers.

If we beat Buffalo it will create another tie in the standings in the AFC East between the Bills and the Jets, who, oddly play each other the next week. Pick a point spread - I dare you! It's more of the same old crap. Tie up the divisions whenever possible, let the tied teams play each other so the bookies and the league make the maximum amount of money and screw the fans. This CANNOT keep happening unless the games are tampered with. It is mathematically impossible. Week after, week, year after year. Open your eye guys.......see the big picture.

Save your breath dude, they'll never get it. They still think its a sport. They'll never understand the billions of dollars that it produces for the major corps in this nation. Let them buy their foam fingers and be blissfully ignorant. The NFL is great entertainment and that's all it is. These games are the height of arranged product. There is no way these teams can keep ending up with tied standings/records and playing each other without it being tampered with. Left to itself it is a mathematical impossibility. The fact that it is happening repeatedly should scream volumes of a fix.

“It’s obvious now,” claimed a recent caller to my morning radio show. “The NFL is definitely fixed.”

The evidence? A recent game in which Oakland knocked off Philadelphia. While I wouldn’t argue that this was an upset and would further agree that the Raiders are a bad football team while the Eagles are a good one, it is quite a leap to conclude that the outcome was engineered. Yet every autumn the conspiracy theorists can be heard bellowing about fixed games.

Of course, most of the sound and fury comes from gamblers on the wrong side of the final score. But you have to ask one critical question: Who benefits?
Certainly not the league itself. The NFL has become a cash cow for its owners. About the only thing that could derail the greenback express would be evidence that the integrity of play was compromised. The players make so much money that you couldn’t pay them enough to risk the loss of career and the likelihood of jail time to influence the outcome of a game.

That leaves the officials, who are very closely monitored and graded on every call they make. The NBA was able to discern very quickly when renegade official Tim Donaghy went over to the dark side. Las Vegas knows within minutes when irregular betting patterns occur.
Keep your money in your pocket and it’s much easier to see the stark truth: Good teams occasionally come out flat and bad teams sometimes make plays. That’s how you get upsets and why the NFL is so entertaining to watch.

The Harbaugh brothers just 'happen' to play each other on Thanksgiving Day just like three of four AFC divisions last week were in a three way tie for first. These things just don't "happen" they are designed in the same way that Shula coaching against his son happened many years ago. When you follow it that far you have to see the league for what it really is. A bunch of football toting whores who will do anything to sell a ticket or gain an advertiser.

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-49ers-ravens-harbaugh-brothers-20111124,0,264550.story

Someone on here said it and it's true. These games and their standings are nothing more than prearranged product.

No, they don't just "happen" to play each other on Thanksgiving, just like the Pats and Colts didn't just happen to be the opening game of the season however many years ago. The people who make the schedule saw the 49ers and Ravens were supposed to play this year, and were like, "hey it'll be the 1st time 2 brothers coach against each other, why don't we capitalize on that story?" So they made them an NFLN game on a day when many families are together.

Of course it didn't just happen. Geez.

Did anyone else but me notice in the Dallas game that we tried Bush up the middle 23 times and all it did was waste downs?

With 154 combined years of coaching experience on this team you mean to tell me that after 6 or 7 times calling the same play resulting in negative yardage that we would keep calling the same play?

Surely our play book is bigger than that one play that didn’t work – why keep calling it? The ref’s had nothing to do with this one. This self sabotage came from within.

We should have beaten Dallas by 10 points.
