Um......wow That was interesting. Flashback was kinda pointless other than showing Richard still doesn't age and they have been tracking Locke his whole life, then again I guess that is pretty significant. Love how the doctor is still alive in this episode, for awhile anyway, more proof that there is quite a time difference. Cabin scene with Christian and Claire was just.....awkward. Interested to see how they "move" the island.
anyone else notice the Secondary Protocol cover sheet Keamey pulled out had a Dharma cover sheet? Looks like maybe Widmore is Dharma...
I'm thinking it's either a tracking device of some kind or a way for him to stay in the current time and location.
I'm so clueless. I thought things on the island were delayed. How did the island get the body before when everything else off the island happened earlier than on the island?
I have an honest question for you guys. Im not a fan of network TV as Ive had a 4 year boycott (I refuse to watch it until the FCC responds to my letter) and have never watched LOST. Ive lurked in this thread a little and am wondering one thing: Do the writers and producers of this show know what the **** is actually going on? It seems like they are just making stuff as they go. Obviously this is an outsiders opinion but most of you seem to be stumped and you watch it religiously...
I think they have a general idea of what they want to happen, but have left it open to change. Like I believe Jack was originally supposed to die in like the 2nd episode and they turned him into the main guy.
Its more of a Free Speech boycott. Besides, the shows on HBO and Showtime are so much better its not even funny. IMO if you're gonna have a show about being people stranded on island you need to have 3 things. 1) Cursing, and LOTS of it. 2) Sex. My god you know there would be tons if that were real life. 3) Extreme gore and violence (Dexter Style) This is where network tv limits itself. Sure many will say you dont NEED those things and its better left up to the imagination blah, blah. But Im sorry. If I wanna hear a good story I'll read a book. I turn to film and TV for the visuals... JMO though Im sure its a great show. Just never had the desire to get into it.
I personally feel they know exactly what is going on. I know there is some slight wiggle room in regards to fan reaction (Nikki and Paulo) but I've always been a firm believer that everything is planned. They did something pretty much no one else does and announced an end date to the show. That tells me they have a plan and schedule for the storyline. I definitely think they will tie everything together by the time this ends. I agree that everyone seems stumped but IMO thats what makes this show so great. Its so unpredictable you never know what will happen next.
To make up for the LOST shows the next 2 years of Lost will be 17 hours not 16 http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3if1d4beff617a2bbe20e35608c75f9342 Interesting quote. Hopefully it does not lead to too many questions When it comes time to air the series finale in 2010, Lindelof said he and Cuse plan to "go into hiding for many, many months" at an "undisclosed location." "David Chase set a great example when he went off to Paris after 'The Sopranos' ending, which is great because all these people are going to be asking, 'What does it mean? What is it?' " he said. "The fact that there's no one really around to answer that question, it forces people to come up with what they think it means. We can guarantee our show will not end with a cut to black, it will be more clear than that. But whenever anything you love ends ... there's a certain disappointment."
Back to the Appendix surgery story. Another quote I read Anyone else notice Juliet freaking out about Jack and his appendectomy stitches? She was very adamant that he shouldn't move alot as the stiches would come out. It gave me a very chilling feeling that something happend during that surgery, that she placed a tracking device or something of that nature in him. Alot of speculation about that in last week's episode and this week's just capitalizes on that! What if Juliet is working for Widmore? So when the island moves it is tracked by Jack's body???
Wouldn't read too much into that. She wouldn't want the stiches to come out whether she put something in him or not. Their on an island, with limited medical supplies and lots of dirt, sand, and germs. And if it were a tracking device, it does them no good when he gets off the island shortley.
she definitely looked and acted strange...especially since she didn't leave Christian on good terms the last time they met
If she knew the truth of all of the island and that no harm can come to Aaron and that it is all part of something bigger than her.
being 'awake' makes the most sense. I don't think she would have trusted Christian or anyone else any other way.
I saw that, and it is certainly pointing that way Yeah it seemed that "all was revealed to her" So has Locke been time traveling as well? He drew a picture of the smoke monster, and how would he know which object belongs to him?
could be a test if he has 'dreams' into the future, like his mind is time traveling but not his body?
