Matt Moore might be a bad QB, but he is better than Henne.

He played well, but also threw some balls that floated big time. The TD to Fasano was a balloon. Lets not get crazy now.

Yes he played well, but he wasn't that good.

So what if the touchdown pass was floated? Even the best QB's throw floating touchdowns. Doesn't make it a bad or even a poor through. Hell the play was a over 30 yard touchdown.

That is like getting on a spelling bee champion because he didn't spell fast enough.

    Moore played a great game.

That is what Florio said I do not think he is remotely a fan of the Dolphins.

I do not think he is going to play that well the entire season, however for one game, he was really good.

No doubt Moore played well today, looked confident and poised. Made great decisions and looked in charge. The only trouble is he keeps it up he could seriously limit our qb options in the draft w/o trading up. LOL

If you want to believe Moore was the next coming, be my guest, using Florio as a back up is not helping you.

Be my guest, Moore won, I'm happy we won, but he was not great.

He was great for once game. Thats one more game than Henne. If anyone thinks Henne has a chance to leade this team, than they need to look again. Henne is garbage. When the backup was outplaying him in the preseason and now in the regular season, you have to wonder. Those that think Henne is better need to take the ****ing glasses off.

It was nice seeing Fasano open in the endzone and the QB not missing on a five yard pass.

Obviously, just making up stories that fit your point of view without ANY proof.

In fact, if you do a little research you would find out Henne earned the respect of teammates this year in the off season. Players raved about him developing leadership skills as he basically installed the new offense during the lockout.

I challenge you to back up your story and find even ONE article this year where an active player bashed Henne.

It was nice to see Daboll finally implement in the red zone. Play-action releasing the TE. Rolling out and throwing back against the grain. Those are the type of calls that give the Dolphins an opportunity to score.

Although, I can't blame Daboll too much b/c Marhsall had plenty of opportunities to score TDs if he could only hold on to the ball.

He threw some balls that were floating, sure. And those balloons fell right into the receiver's hands. He also threw some nice bullets to Clay down the middle.

As long as he doesn't throw a balloon with another DB nearby that can close in, he's good. Fact of the matter is, we haven't seen this good of a game in a LOOOOONG time. Since Tyler thingp... just kidding.

I remember some of Henne's non-balloon bullets over shooting wide open WR's by 5 yards as well. Cuts both ways.

The floating balls are called touch. A bullet that bounces off the receiver's hands accomplishes nothing except an incompletion. If Moore floats a few that get picked, then we can *****. In the meantime, let's call it touch.

Well then that answers that, why didnt we ask you last year befoe we gave the bum 2 years as full time starter? Huh?!

To me many are tying to use 1 game by Moore (ignoring the previous 3 where there was 0 talk of moore vs henne) to say how smart they are. Go ahead and pat yourself on the back, while using the other hand to count the hands patting your back

I have no idea if Moore is truly better than Henne. He played well yesterday and helped defeat a Chiefs team which just didn't show up. I think in the long term, Moore and Henne are what they are. Both are mediocre QB's who are are capable of playing a good game every now and then. But neither of them are the type of QB who can take a team very far during an entire season. Moore is a backup QB for a reason and I have no doubt that being a backup QB will be the role Henne will have next year with whatever team he signs with during the off season.

Moore may start for the Dolphins early next season, if he is still with the team after the new HC takes over. This will only be temporary though, until Jones, Barkley, or whomever the Dolphins draft are finally inserted as the starter after a few games in the regular season.

No, it just proves the QB everyone pinned their hopes on wasn't that great of a QB.

But if Moore turns out to be fairly good, awesome. We're going to draft a QB but who's behind them? At every position (except kickers) you have to line them up 3 deep, especially the QB position. Finding a good #2 is very important

Again I will say it again Matt Moore yesterday proved nothing about Henne, NOTHING. It is the ones that want to say "see I was right" that think so. You have no idea how Henne would have played yesterday, you can believe whatever you want but since he cant play you cant prove it so it isnt debateable, it is just opinion. I am not saying that henne would have been the same or better. I am saying who gives a flying F**k? I was being sarcastic in the replied post.

People need to get over it, pro or con henne. Henne is gone. Useless to keep bringing him up is the point, its like posters have been sitting waiting for Moore to have a good game so they can say "seee that see that I was right, look at me I am smart" What other purpose is there? Its diff if you think Moore is the long term answer, do you? If not it is ridiculous to keep bringing up the ghost.

    So...

that Chad Henne guy was holding this team back.

Moore might be a bad QB, but he's showing you something Henne couldn't, isn't he?

I've been saying Henne was a pathetic waste of 4 years of our lives for a long time, I'm just trying to see how many of the rest of you are converted yet.

Dude there are a lot of QBs in the draft. Andy Dalton wasn't considered a top pick. We still need to do our homework but they are out there. Maybe we can even afford to draft someone who doesn't need to start right away too

    Quite right.

The most obvious thing when watching Henne, to me, was his complete lack of ability to create plays. He was the major reason why our red zone was so pathetic, league worst.

The biggest difference is that Moore has had much better protection these last three weeks. Henne was playing well those first three weeks despite running for his life most of the time. You give the both the same protection and I'll take Henne over Moore.

Well, to me, all MMoore is doing is taking advantage of the talent that is on the roster, he is not elevating the players, save for Reggie Bush, but look who he is tossing the ball to, for example in 08 Fasano had 8 Td's.

TBH, not sure if that is a sign of great Qb play, or not reinventing the wheel

Combine the better protection with the better pocket presense, better ball placement and better decision making, you have much better quarterbacking.

not that it matters but i tend to agree with raf. the debate is pretty useless as to who is better moore or henne. i just hope we don't go through this draft without drafting a new qb, then we really do have to find out who is better, moore or henne, that is not something i want to see happen. so pretty please with sugar on top, draft a frickin qb.

Oh of course he has.... Some of you will hang on to this idea that Chad Henne was a victim until the very end I suppose. Matt Moore has been pressured plenty in his time as starter.
