Good. I think Dorsett is going to be one hell of a PR, and TB has been a disappointment this year, and that muff was the final straw. As for Henderson, he should be starting at LT, Feliciano should be starting RT, and Washington should be back inside but whatever.

Now that I'm seeing Furman making Florida look like an FCS school, losing to Virginia doesn't piss me off as much anymore.

Rough game but pulled out the win. Offensive line looked like complete dog****. Like 5 Marc Columbo's were placed on our offensive line.

In other news, we can now start the debate whether or not this years FSU team overtakes last years team for greatest 4 loss team in the history of the sport after choking away the game to UVA.

They can place that in their trophy case right next to the GOAT 4 loss team rings of last year.

    FSU=Missed FG=Epic, every...single...time...:lol:

Someone on twitter mentioned they will be glad when Jacory and Benjamen leave, I have to agree, wildly inconsistent, they have heart but just are not good football players game in and game out.

Coach Golden has his work cut out for him through this next cycle as he brings in "his" recruits and the Shannon dumb dumbs cycle out.

I dont know if it's Kehoe or their strength coach because for as big as these kids are across the LOS, they get their butts handed to them constantly but smaller defenses.

They just announced that they will engage a self imposed bowl ban.

Sucks, sometimes though, you have to take a beating, this is one of those times.

I just hope Coach Golden sticks it out with us.

Worst case scenario is that the bowl ban was unnecessary and they lose money because of it. However, if the bowl ban is unnecessary it means we got off easy.

And if we do in fact get hit with sanctions, we would only get a 1 year bowl ban (most likely next season).

What the NCAA hates is programs that act as if nothing happened, when a program nods the head and foregoes the revenue, it is usually considered a serious sign of contrition, after all the school is walking away from millions of dollars, smart move imvho, it will mitigate the sanctions.

Come on, thats not THE U we have come to know and love....where is the anger and flippant attiutude to toss up both Middle Fingers and continue to think you are better than everyone else. Spit in the NCAA's collective faces, you are THE U.....you are PRISON PENITENTIARY UNIVERSITY, you wear fatigues for no reason.

I am disappointed if they self-impose and CAVE to THE MAN! Dont sell out. No wimp out. THUG LIFE forever!

All must respect this house.....its not about the education, its about the gridiron and telling them where they can stick it. Call their bluff....!

Self imposing a bowl ban was the right decision. We're going to a ****ty bowl anyways. Might as well ban ourselves and get hit with less penalties from the NCAA, which we'll probably self impose in the next month or so. A few scholarships and a few years probation. Force the NCAA to make a decision on our self imposed sanctions before NSD. I assume the NCAA would accept. They have no evidence and no former players are going to admit to ****. Miami self-reported this over a year ago, and Miami is rolling with a new coaching staff, and all the players involved have been punished already. Not to mention Shalala has been excellent and we hired the best attorney you can buy in Mike Glazier. Accept our sanctions and hit Hurtt and Pannunzio with show-cause penalties.

I have been hearing a lot of different radio shows giving their opinion that Golden might seek another job in the offseason. Granted they are only giving their opinions but it got me thinking.

With all that has happened, do you guys think Golden will stick around and turn them into a powerhouse again or just cut bait and go elsewhere?

Oh and Miami's TD streak is in DEEP jeopardy right now.

But even if it ends, it will never be broken.

That's what I figure, that would normally be a dream job but that program is in bad shape.

I do feel bad for the kids but some of these same kids are the reason why. I'm glad they're doing it now. The bowl would not be all that great but moreso it's for nothing but money to the university. Although there were some things said that one decent bowl wanted to put Miami vs Boise State...

I don't see any reason why Golden would leave if he knows the sanctions won't be bad. Even then, the only threat is Penn State and I don't think there's any chance Golden ends up there. Not only is that program ****ed for the foreseeable future from a recruiting standpoint, but the NCAA started an investigation on them for lack of institutional control as well.

Although streaks really don't have much significance, that's insane. Funny thing is, I suspect Lesean McCoy has helped that Pitt streak...he was originally a Cane commit.

Great interview today with Golden on the Gino Torretta show. I especially liked the comments Golden made about recruiting and depth. This guy just gets it.

How much should we read into this?

Asked directly during the ACC's weekly coaches' teleconference if he "absolutely" will be Miami's coach in 2012, Golden answered, "I believe I'm going to be the head coach at Miami in 2012, that's correct."

Whether intentional or not, the use of the word "believe" leaves Golden wiggle room. Should he ultimately leave to coach Penn State, where he played as a tight end and was a senior captain for Joe Paterno, he couldn't technically be accused of having lied.

Non story. Al Golden is never going to say he "absolutely" will be the Miami coach in 2012 because he and his agent have been working on a contract extension for awhile. And after Miami failed to notify him of the Shapiro situation, he'll get it, with a little raise as well.

I was thinking this as well. Golden has leverage now, so why blow it.

  31. Ozzy

Although it MIGHT be unlikely, Golden will most definitely listen to Penn State if they come calling. They might be willing to throw a boatload of money his way too and Miami will not match a huge offer.

It's unlikely Penn State even comes after Golden since they want to separate themselves from guys who previously coached at Penn State. And even if they did, Al Golden wouldn't want to go there. Penn State is screwed. Recruiting is in shambles and NCAA sanctions are coming. Al Golden has all the leverage, and his agent has been working on a new deal for a while now.

  33. Ozzy

We all know about the possible new deal but you, nor I, know anything about what Penn St will do. If it was such a non story then it would not be all over the airwaves everyday. Remember that Saban was not going to be the Alabama football coach?

It's all over the airways because the media needs a story at all times. As for Saban, not sure what that has to do with anything. Penn State won't bring in someone who was a part of the team. Anyways, rumor right now is Dan Mullen.

  35. Ozzy

The rumors were about Saban and they were true. Thats all im saying is we cant tell who. The media needed stories back then too and there have been one or three rumors linking him to Penn State. I hope he stays but he has a reason to be pissed if he wants to be....

You're making the assumption that Golden is as much of a sleazeball as Saban. I don't think that to be even remotely true. The rumors have no legs to stand on to begin with. Al Golden attending PSU means nothing. It's Les Miles to Michigan all over again.
