The bodies are adding up. There's a stack of cadavers from old regimes that have begun to pile up this offseason.

As the Trifecta begins to add "their guys" to the roster in the beginning stages of this rebuilding process plenty of priority free agents and draft picks from the old regimes have been shown the door.

But does everyone from the Jimmy Johnson, Dave Wannstedt, Nick Saban and Cam Cameron eras of this franchise need to get the boot? Even though last year's Dolphins were 1-15 there HAS to be something leftover from that roster that is salvageable. Right?

Here's a look at 10 players the Trifecta inherited that could still provide good, if not great value if they prove themselves to the Trifecta this season, fitting into the system this Bill Parcells run franchise is inputting.
If you haven't figured it out by now, no free agents or draftees the Trifecta has added this offseason makes this list of LEFTOVERS.

Surprised they don't list Jason Allen. He came on well as a safety near the end of last year, it's his thirds season (when the lightbulb often turns on for players.. like Troy Polamalu) and was a 1st round pick.

Thanks, Nice read AT. I'm a little surprised to see that Allen, Porter and Crowder were left off of that list though. However, i guess I can understand it.

I'm really hoping for Jason to have a big season for us. If he doesn't do it this season do you think he will be cut?

I've been thinking about Rickey and his long layoff from playing in the NFL. I tried to find a top player who had a similiarly long layoff from playing a significant amount for a 3 year span.

The only player who came to mind was Marcus Allen, he was say for four years after angering Al Davis over a contract dispute, Davis traded Marcus to the Chiefs when he was 32, and had not started for years.

In KC, Allen led the Chiefs to the playoffs and the AFC title game and led the Chiefs in rushing with about 800 yds 3 of the 4 years that he was in KC.

Allen also missed a season with a ACL injury, something that has never happened to Rickey Williams.

So let's not discount Ricky Williams as a contributor just yet.

I wonder if the 'Trifecta' believe Matt Roth to be salvageable.

A shame Zach isn't here because he'd have made that list easily. When healthy, I'd take him over Torbor any day.

I agree. But at least we'll have Torbor for quite a few years to come as opposed to Zach.

Yes. No team will trade for him at his high price tag if he still doesn't perform well this year. We'll be best off dumping him at the end of the year and taking the hit, IMO.

Will Allen was left off in favor of Paul Soliai?

He really is one of the most unappreciated players in the NFL right now. If he could generate turnovers he'd be a franchise corner.

I look for our leftovers to go to the usual suspects: St Louis, Baltimore, and New England.

I don't know what Omar is talking about, Ricky, JT, Holliday, Hagan and Soliai might all find themselves playing elsewhere after this year and some might not be around once the season starts.

Ricky - Parcells is taking a big gamble in the hopes that Ricky still has it and still has the desire to play. One more slipup (a very real possibility) and Ricky won't be playing anywhere. My guess is that Ricky has a decent year, but nothing "Ricky-esque". The fact that we were negotiating with Michael Turner doesn't bode well for Ricky next year.

JT - Too much has been written about this. JT wants out, Miami wants to trade him, so far there haven't been any takers. Retirement is a real possibility after this season. There is still the slim possibility that he's moved before the season starts.

Holliday - He might find himself on the outside looking in, and eventually on the unimployment line. Parcells and Co. have done a pretty good job bringing in fresh faces and younger bodies. Holliday is going to have to prove that he's healthy and that he can beat out Wright, Starks, Langford, Merling, Roth, etc. My guess is that, unless he impresses this year, he might not be back.

Hagan - He'll be lucky to catch the bus out of town after the season.

Soliai - I had high hopes for the kid. He's big, he has good agility for a guy his size and he had a 2nd round grade on some draft sites. Too bad a fellow Miami Dolphins player was recently quoted saying that Soliai is "a big fat lazy baby". I doubt he makes the roster. He'll quickly find himself in Parcells doghouse. Nothing infuriates the Tuna more than a big guy with potential who is lazy.

    JMO though

    Satele isn't going anywhere.

IMO, it would be a big mistake to get rid of Feely.

He has shown glimpses that he is going to be a starting caliber safety for this team, so hopefully he'll show he can play at a high level all year and stay healthy. I would really like to have a combo of Jason Allen and Yerimiah Bell for a long time, becuase if both can stay healthy, they could both be very productive safeties in this league.

Crowder, Roth, J. Allen, Joey Porter and Carey belong on that list IMHO.

Desides, that was downright "optimistic" of you. Careful, I might have to remove you from my ignore list if you keep this up. I really do like you, just not how you've been posting for the last 30 days. It would be nice to have you "back".
