So I got bored and decided to pillage some people.

First victim, about 100 of each resource and 110,000 gold!

Second victim, 1500 wood, 500 wine, 300 sulphur, 15,000 gold

Third victim, about 100 of each resource and 70,000 gold.

Yeah i always send out a spy now before I attack to see what size trading port they have and to check out their resources. My routine is to send out spies to places I intended to pillage before I go to bed, check in the morning what they have size wise and resources and then send out pillages before I head to work.

I have a favorite target nearby my capital. I've pillaged this town about 4-5 times this week and get at least 1500 marble every time, plus a bunch of other stuff.

 

I think I may have figured out a way to protect your gold if your being attacked.

Go to your trading post and set an offer for something and adjust the price so that it will cost most of your gold and the trading post will reserve that much until someone sells you the resource. You can cancel it after your attacked. Haven't actually tested this but it seems like it would work.

I don't bother checking the general score.

Two of the guys I've been pillaging the last 2-3 days have been inactive. Both have multiple cities in the area.

 

Name of the town is gray and there is a (i) next to it.

 

The name of the city is shaded out, and it as an (i) next to it!
