Do you realize that they were DESIGNED plays?????

Are you referring to the sideline passes??

They were designed plays. Notice how little time it took Miami to do that. They did that because the Cowboys were beating the right side very quickly, especially Marc Colombo.

    Welcome to my world RGF..

MMoore's 148.5 QBR was better then any Marino ever had, he is actually doing quite well from that perpsective with a 100.5 QBR over the last 3 games.

He's talking about the fly routes... there's no such thing as 30 yard comebacks.

You are kidding me correct? Underthrowing a wide open receiver by 10 yards on a go route is a designed play now? WOW.

    Congratulations.

We have the new Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Gotta say though..he earned the caretaker spot for our eventual 1st round draft pick (Barkley, RG3, etc..)

I think all we did was expose the Cowboys as rather weak defensively versus a halfway competent team. They do have a ton of offensive talent though. You gotta be impressed with the way our defense held up.

Look on the bright side; at least we didn't pay Moore 50 million.

What do you know, and when did you know it?

    :shifty:

Hold off on the party balloons with MM, he is having a good yr for a underachieving team, but TD's are the currency of contract extensions, we have him for another yr, and to Ross's credit he nixed the Orton deal with the huge contract extension, so I'd doubt he'd go for one with MMoore.

Though a Shaun Hill type of deal would make sense for both sides no matter who we draft.

What could you get in terms of a trade say to a team like Houston if Leinart fails?

Da nada, Schaub will be right back with them next yr.

Leinart will be a FA though, but there is a bumper crop of vet FA qb's coming up this offseason.

I doubt we'd get much for Moore. Best to keep Moore as our backup QB, let Henne walk, and draft a QB.

Which is more or less my view, MMoore has played well, but not well enough to keep the #1 Qb job.

The one caveat to that is if a Coach like Fisher is hired, I wouldn't be surprised if MMoore is the starter in 2012.

I think he has played well enough for this or the next regime to lock him up. Not for Fitzpatrick money. But we have to keep him. We know he can play. Then we can focus on a #1. Makes it that much easier vs having to find two new QBs

isn't Moore's contract through next year ... on the cheap?? Why on earth would we rework it if true??

I'm in the clear minority ... and that's cool -- but provided Henne doesn't ask for ridiculous $$$; then i still recommend bringing both back and still drafting a QB #1.

Let them all battle it out .... and see where it goes. I would not be in favor of a rookie starting unless he shows he is ready.

I'll still argue that we are only a couple players away from being a really good team: 2 X OL, another RB (even with a healthy Thomas next year), another impact LB, and another DB.

I don't think there is anyway Chad Henne can come back to this locker room. His teammates have in no way supported him the way they support Matt Moore or the way they supported Chad Pennington. For whatever reason, this team just didn't get behind Chad Henne.

I think that's mostly speculation. Like I said, I would leave if I were him, but from the team's POV he's better and potentially cheaper than most other vet options.

Nah, not that I'm pro or anti Henne, 4 yrs and over 30 starts, we've seen what needs to be seen from him imo.

I can recall Jason Campbell being brought up, and how Redskins fans were pretty much saying the same things about him, lack of leadership, lack of killer instinct, that we all saw from Henne, both can play Qb in the NFL and not embarrass the team, but both are basically .500 Qb's which says "good #2 qb" to me.

Eh, I'd expect him to move on, to me when MMoore can take the same players, and make the offense much more dangerous, that sort of closes the book on Henne's time in Miami, now a New HC and all bets are off of course, a Fisher may be happy with a honest competition between Moore and Henne, but then again..MMoore works cheap and is under contract.

I'd like to see him signed to a incentive laden contract. Still draft a QB and go from there. He's played well enough.

I would take Moore over Henne as a backup in a heartbeat. I have NO problem saying that. Moore has more of a presence then Henne and generates a more exciting offense. Doubt very much if Henne is ever in a Dolphins uniform again.

Channing Crowder tells it like it is on his radio show. He stated that there were many players who did not want Henne being the starter on this offense,

Pads ... the offense right now and what started the season are not the same - not even close ... they have figured out how to use Bush better and Clay is contributing, etc ... there are others, but just those two make a big difference.

I can't see Henne coming back here to compete for 2nd string, they'll be an opportunity in a few places like Arizona, Cleveland, Washington, Seattle, etc to compete for a starting job possibly or at least be solidified as a backup. Heck going somewhere like Green Bay or Pittsburg and being on a winning team and possibly get a few starts might be better long term too. I don't think I'd have a lot of respect for him if he came back here, it would signal he's just given up.

Disagree, it is not so much Reggie and Clay stepping up, it is more that MMoore is more accurate and has more arm courage then Henne had over 31 starts.

And that is something I've watched week in and week out, Henne on a team with a strong running game and good defense will be a good Qb possibly Top 15 in terms of efficiency, but never the driver of the offense.

Henne did improve this yr, but not enough to warrant another yr of him starting in Miami.

The only way I'd cry over you is if you continue to post this nonsensical diatribe that only serves as an affirmation of the notion that you know more about the definition of ******ed than anyone else here - practically speaking ofcourse. Ozzy and I were just hoping you'd bring something else to the board other than what we get from the other 400 or so 5th graders that stumble on here proclaiming their superiority about all things football.

But alas, as history tends to repeat itself I think that quest will take a while.

I am truly impressed by the fact you went back to the 90's with the take a pill reference though, so I give you props for that...............oh and your ability to swear on the internet. I mean wow! No one's ever done that before. Right?

Now, happily continue your quest to prove your greatness by typing some other nonsensical ramble about who gives a rat's *** what, as you strive for what you believe is message board superiority. Have at it sunshine.

Can we finally add Henne to the heap of hot garbage known as University of Michigan QBs in the NFL? I mean given what everyone has seen and noted, it just seems to be a safe move IMO

I think if Moore continues to produce at a fairly high and consistent level then next year he will deserve every opportunity to compete for the starting job against a first round draft pick.

However, to throw all our eggs in his basket is just begging to continue the post Marino tradition we have going on here.

If Moore wins and puts together another really good year, you can maybe look at a franchise and trade opportunity - I may be totally off base here but didn't NE do something of that nature with Cassell?

If he falters we have a rook ready to come in and play. If he can't beat out a rook in training camp ... well no harm done in that case I guess.

The problem with these journeymen putting together a good stretch is "are we witnessing the next Gannon or Brees" or is "here is the next Ryan Fitzpatrick?"
