did you feel the same way when players made fun of to signing the football and giving it to his agent?
Bringing a gun into a crowded nightclub can also be construed as a heinous act. There are people that believe guns shouldn't even exist, let alone be available to the general public. And there are people who couldn't give a rat's *** about dogs and actually enjoy dog fighting. But both are crimes and given your rationale both are not off limits when it comes to publicly poking fun at them by other players I have NO problem with people making fun of Burress, Vick, Edwards for his drunk driving, etc. I do have a problem with players in the league doing it. I think it shows a lack of respect for their fellow players and the game. So let's just agree to disagree. I know I am not the only one that feels this way and watching that asshat drop a possible game winning pass put a giant smile on my face. What goes around comes around. P.S. That moron, Burress, fresh out of jail and out of football for 2 years, with a lousy QB throwing passes to him, has managed 7 TD catches this year.
players made fun of t.o. terrell owens, after he caught a td pass, and then pulled a pen out of his sock and signed it. Do you feel that was inappropriate?
No problem with a player mocking another player's on field antics. That's why I didn't have an issue with Johnson mimicking Holmes' TD celebration. It was making fun of a player's personal problem that I don't agree with. I feel he crossed a line. -Ed- sent from my mobile device
here is one Jets player reacting to the celebration. I like how he says they hold themselves to integrity a week after the coach is fined for cussing at a fan. i guess they really don't understand how sending pictures of your *****, tripping opposing players with your coaching staff, getting DUI's, forgetting 7 out of your 9 kids names (who are all 3 years old somehow) and promising superbowls is anything but integrity. well, to save face, at least he did say, "some"
his personal problem of carrying a loaded weapon, with a bullet in the chamber, no safety, and sitting down and setting off said weapon?
Would you have a problem with a player imitating choking a dog after he scored a td against the Eagles? Or someone pretending to drive over a pedestrian? Can you guys not see the point I'm trying to make or do you just don't want to? -Ed- sent from my mobile device
Integrity is cheating to gain an advantage over an opponent...say like Spygate You guys are the Pilar of Honesty and Integrity! -Ed- sent from my mobile device
I see your point, but you're trying to compare something like this to those events. The mere brutality of those should tip you off that your comparison is a bad one. And my point is if you did actually believe it's disrespectful towards a coworker or whatever, where do you draw the line? Players make fun of each other, in front of each others dances, etc, why is this too extreme to make fun of? Because your wr did something insanely stupid and shot himself?
No. Because I believe it is in poor taste. I'd never bust on a coworker in front of an audience about something like that. He made a mistake...a stupid one...but he paid his debt to society. And NY has the most ridiculous gun laws. He didn't get two years for shooting himself. He got two years for possessing an unlicensed handgun. What a joke. And I'd like to reiterate that it has nothing to do with him being "my receiver." I'd feel the same way if he played for the Dolphins. I'm done. In the end, Burress got the last laugh and Johnson ended up looking like a tool. Dropping that pass was complete weaksauce. F him and the Jills. -Ed- sent from my mobile device
I seriously doubt you'd feel the same way. And you never answered my question. What makes this so much worse that you can even fathom comparing it to vick for starters or dui lol
You guys are dense. I object to a player being mocked during a game by another player when it pertains to a personal matter outside of football. It's my opinion. Are we done? -Ed- sent from my mobile device
It's not so funny when it's against your team now is it? Grasp onto spygate. cuddle it. love it. never let it go. keep it on the shelf right next to 1969. remember, opposing coaches knew they were being taped and were also said to have waved at the camera's. it never or could have had an impact on the game at hand. end of story.
classless (no asterisk) here's a phone book to stand on, cause you're reaching. edit: i still love you tho bam, you're one of my favorite Jets fans.
Thanks. I really don't care about Spygate. I only brought it up because you started talking about how the Jets have no honor and integrity. You derailed the topic!
