The playstation 3 sucks. Sick of the updates(twice a week min. seems like). Why do i need to update for PS Vita if i don't even have the device? Why do I need to update to play online? ok,ok, its free but the DLC is a ripoff. They took security for granted, then made an update that basically made you promise not to sue them for letting someone smarter than they are walk right into there network and ripoff everybody's password,in order to use there free network. the only thing worth a damn is getting sunday ticket(ridiculous price point BTW),maybe. There exclusive games aren't anything to do back flips over, Xbox 360 graphics are much better. When it crashes it takes so long to reboot, WTF? There motion gaming device is a joke. Anyone on the fence just get the xbox360slim. sorry had to get that off my chest. But really though, I'm giving my PS3 to my nephew, i'm done. sony has no imagination at all they just copy other peoples ideas.(Kinect was very imaginative)
I have both systems and play them both equally for different things. The only thing that annoys me about ps3 is the installing of the games every time I get a new one, other than that I love it. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
Perhaps I'm overreacting, but the PS3 is overhyped. I have both systems and i much rather have the xbox by far. The only things that Ps3 has that xbox doesn't is Blu ray and sunday ticket. Blu ray players r so inexpensive these days its basically a non factor. The only thing sonys has on xbox is the SunTick. but u still have to pay the outrageous fee to DTV.
I've owned both for years and have no real preference for one over the other. They both have their pros and cons. I've always appreciated the PS3 for coming with everything you need right out of the box - HDMI, wireless plug and play controller, built in wi-fi. Yeah, Xbox 360 has most of this too now (cept for plug and play), but I had to buy a new one to get HDMI. That was my reward for buying one early in 2005. PS3 chapped my *** with the network issues last year. And I don't enjoy the system updates, etc. All that happens much faster on the Xbox. Xbox360 still has a better online community also. I don't know if it's better enough to charge for though. I have just as many problems during online play with XboxLIVE as PSN, not considering this year's fiasco with the PSN.
I hear this over and over again. Honest question: why? Is it the graphics? Do you prefer playing with mouse and keyboard, or do you get PC controllers? For me I've never really had the money to put towards a souped up PC capable of playing the games I like. And it seems like you have to upgrade them so much more often than consoles. But I am intrigued as to what makes people enjoy the PC gaming experience so much.
I just built a PC about 6 months ago. It's the 1st "gaming" PC I've ever had. The graphics are immensely better on the PC, as well as load times. Also, games are significantly cheaper IMO (typically start cheaper, but can be found at heavily discounted rates at places such as Steam). I've not played much with mouse and keyboard (I also have a gamepad) as it still seems foreign to me (I certainly can't play competitively), but I can use a wired 360 controller with many games. I can also play Wii games in HD with my PC. There are also a good number of worthwhile gaming experiences only available on PC. And while I've not taken advantage of it with a lot of games, there are community mods to numerous games that either add new life to old games or make current games even better. I still use my PS3 and 360, but for most any multi-platform game, I'm getting it for the PC. If I were to only have one "system" I'm not sure what I'd go with, as I've yet to have to upgrade, but I am very happy with my PC as another "toy."
A $100 video card and a $20 adapter to use your 360 controller wirelessly with Windows will blow away any console. Much better graphics, free online play, no inserting discs, unlimited storage, etc, etc
I've had my Xbox for 4 years with no problems. Sony makes crap. My 2 year old Bravia TV had issues 3 months after I bought it.
I've had the PS3 since it came out. I've never had any problems with it and it was my blu-ray player when they were rare and expensive. I run my Netflix through it. It's the best gaming system I've ever had.
I have all 3 consoles, and I find myself playing only PS3 now. I have the 80 gb model and it is still running strong. Not to mention it is my blu-ray player as well. I got the 360 only for a few exclusive games that were worthwhile. Wii is catching dust, and I am about ready to sell it on EBAY. I will not shell out 60 dollars for XBL Gold... never. I have no interest in any of the "features." None. All I want to do is play my games online, and the PSN more than suits the cause.... for $0. Otherwise I play my games on PC.
Graphics. Keyboard and Mouse, though I do use a 360 controller for some games. Modding, especially for games like ArmA 2 and Skyrim. Console commands have been a life saver in Skyrim with all the bugs. Lots of great free games on the PC as well. Games are usually cheaper for the PC, especially through Steam which always has great deals, and pirating is extremely easy if you're into that. Not to mention all the regular pluses of having a PC. And all those regular pluses run a hell of a lot faster on a gaming PC as well. Programs like Photoshop, WinRar, etc. My Xbox 360 is pretty much limited to multiplayer sports gaming only at this point.
