Briefly detained by police earlier this month over a cab fair dispute.

Good that he had a cab take him home, but sometimes alcohol does different things to different people. Probably needs to stay away from that.

what is getting lost is that the guy that should have been arrested was the criminal Cab Driver charging a $142 fare.

I'd get arrested too if I was being charged $142 for a cab ride. I could get a damn limo for that!

Judging by the times, seems he was in the cab at least 90 minutes at a time when there's no traffic. Who knows what routes they took. They traveled at least 35 miles. Cabbie says Marshall was passed out.

    Can it possibly add up?

My guess is that Marshall told him he wanted to go to his house. Somewhere in the explanation of the directions to his house Marshall said "drive towards the airport" and the cabby took him to the Miami Airport. Marshall probably told him "no, his house is past the Ft. Lauderdale airport and the cabby took him to the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Marshall woke up and went to find a cabby that could understand how to get him home.

Yup, give him credit for AT LEAST getting a cab. There are a LOT of idiots out there that are to CHEAP to do that.

Hmm, perhaps he told the cabbie to take him someplace he rarely goes?

So the cabbie drove around trying to find the endzone, but, like Marshall, he just couldn't?

    :dunno:

He paid the cab drivers and apologized? Stupid therapy, the man is clearly losing his edge. No wonder he drops touchdowns.

On what planet does a person run up a $142 cab fare?

If he was passed out, obviously the cabbie can drive all over creation with the meter running. That's likely what happened.

$142 !!!! Loose change to Marshall surely? I'd have just laughed at the cab driver guy for being such *&^% and paid him.

I think the NFL reimburses teams that have a free service for players, but that service is optional for teams to institute or not....or something along those lines...

Maybe if we saw a picture of his cabbie we would understand why Marshall was having some issues.. Can you really blame him?

Happened to my buddy last week. Of course my buddy threw up (some got in the car) and the cabbie wanted cleaning money. My buddy is a gentle giant when sober but an angry mad man when drunk.

Marshall is a ticking time bomb and the sooner the Dolphins make him an ex-Dolphin, the better off the franchise will be. Of course there is no other GM foolish enough to give up two high drafts pick for him. In fact the Dolphins will be lucky to get one sixth round draft pick in a trade for Marshall.
