I thought MMoore played fine on that drive: -ball to Bess Tipped -Marshall made a dum dum play -Richie I with the hold Hardly poor Qb play.
Clearly he and Bess were not on the same page as that throw was terribly behind Bess. Another thing I've not noticed until today, but when he's taking a shotgun snap, Moore is starting to move backward into his drop before he receives the snap.
No it wasn't! He was trying to get back to the LOS. I want my players playing like that all day long.
I think in today's NFL, "grooming" a QB has gone away. Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Cam Newton, Andy Dalton, etc. have all done just fine right from the get go. Someone the caliber of Andrew Luck or Matt Barkley (who I think Miami ends up with at this point), is going to come in and not be far enough behind Matt Moore to need to be groomed. Unless Miami ends up with RGIII, Tannehill, or someone of that ilk, the rookie should start from day one.
it was not a good call, he did not have blocking and he should not have attempted to reverse position. It was not all his fault padre.
What's the difference, though? In the end the result would be a Field Goal. An attempt to make something out of nothing is better than just eating the loss.
I'm not Marshall's biggest fan but some of the criticism he receives is beyond ridiculous. If he just went down on that play, people would say he has no heart.
Apparently Jared Odrick's "Pee-Wee Dance" has caught on. Ziggy Hood of the Steelers just did it. Yikes.
