So you enjoy seeing your fellow Dolphins fans pissed off because their favorite team is run by idiots and are once again about to miss the playoffs? Does not compute. If the Dolphins pummel those teams, then we have a lot to look forward to after we fire Sparano and bring in a real QB and coach.

If Sparano and Ireland are still here next year, no, I will not purchase season tickets next year. Even if the Dolphins win out, which I doubt they will do. They will still have a 22-26 record over the last three years. Ireland and Sparano have already been here four years and having a losing record for the last three years is not enough to justify Ross keeping either of the men in the organization.
If you are fooled by this recent surge by the Dolphins against some very mediocre teams, so be it.

I know several season ticket holders who also did not renew this past season because they also were fed up with the Sparano, Ireland era. Just like me, they are willing to purchase season tickets next year if Sparano and Ireland are no longer the HC and GM. No matter how the Dolphins finish the season, if Sparano, and Ireland are still with the team next year, I predict the Dolphins will sell even less season tickets then they did this season.

They're a given. We're not making the playoffs, and Ross isn't going to sit around and lose even more ticket sales by keeping an idiot head coach.

    Come on man.

Do you really think Sparano had any say in Bonamego, Pasquoloni or Henning? Not a chance. It looks to me like his replacement choices have easily outperformed the good old boys he was dealt. Let’s not forget who is truly responsible for starting this disaster.

If they win out and Nolan is willing to stay, I think firing Sparano would be a bad idea.

In the majority of our losses this season, we were in position to win in the 4th Quarter, all we needed to do is close out the game(s). That to me is on the HC. To put it solely on the players ignores the fact our HC is the person responsible for getting the players to close out games when close. JMVHO

And the players are responsible for executing the plays, running the routes, catching the passes, tackling the opponents, not getting burned in man coverage, rushing the passer, not drooping passes, making the throws, running through arm tackles, finishing their blocks and the almighty one........scoring

Dude is fired. Attempting that field goal and essentially choosing to turn the all over at mid field to a team you are dominating is just the latex in a long line of idiotic decisions.

He can not be fired soon enough.

These keep Sparano threads are about to be moot, unless they turn it around. And even then, with an 8-8 finish, you still understand any side of the coin.

I agree but what's with the quote below?
    "unless they turn it around"?

If you've read this board lately they already had! :wink2:
Sparano "turned the team around" and should absolutely stay and Matt Moore is so good we shouldn't even consider drafting a QB this year.
All over a 5 game span that somehow got a lot of people to forget about everything else.
    Yeesh.

    Welcome back to the reality.

Geesh, any other coach on any other team who changes both offensive and defensive coordinators would certainly get the benefit of the doubt.........throw in the fact that we almost had a lockout and well....this year was not going to be great anyway. First a lot are screaming to replace Hennig and because he hasn't he should be fired. Sparano gets control and makes changes not only at offensive coordinator but defensive coordinator as well and people are calling for his head. Give the guy a break!!

Well, i think its time to fire him and start the search. No moral victories coming this year. Time to give it to Nolan and start the search.

Dolphins are now having their 3rd straight losing season...the first time since the 1970 merger that Miami has finished below .500 more than 2 seasons. And will probably finish 5-11...the Dolphins 3rd worst record (after 04 and 07) since the merger. We beat the awful Chiefs, streaky Deadskins, choking/injured Bills and Raiders who will prob finish 8-8. Since they took over, Miami has beaten one team outside the division who finished with a winning record (2010 Packers). Look what happened when the Eagles who got healthy came in, a team with real talent. They kicked our ***. Not surprised. Spent 200 million dollars on an O-Line that sucks when Long goes down. Didn't find a real QB. Odd moment of the game...4th and inches Dolphins call a run with JP Losman instead of Reggie Bush who had almost 100 yards...say what?!? You put the ball in the hands of a former UFL QB?

    He's gone, as is Ireland.

Why does this thread exist? Seriously. We are going 6-10 at best. A coach who resides over a 7-9, 7-9 and then a 6-10 does not stay employed.

We will win maybe one more game this season. 5-11 at best because we might beat Buffalo. At least now these keep Sparano threads will disappear.

Why do people want to retain Sparano? Is it because he's a nice guy or because we beat a few teams with lots of injuries?

The only individuals who want to see Sparano as the HC of the Dolphins next years are fans of the Jets, Patriots, and Bills. In fact I am sure the fans of these teams are hoping Ross will be dumb enough to sign Sparano and Ireland to new, long term contracts. Fortunately for Dolphin fans, I think Ross has finally seen the light and changes are coming.

lets make something clear, noone was really defending him unless he won the last four, some of us were merely projecting on how we would feel if he did...Nothing wrong with that..He needs to go, he had his last chance..

I want to keep Sparano like i want to keep Appendicitis. Its a total useless part when its healthy but when it causes pain its time to get rid. An Appendix is never missed when it gone.

Turning point of the game. Our defense was playing great and could have pinned them inside the 10.

    If, if, if...

There was alot of speculation on Sparano in this thread based on that word..."if", and I was one of them.

IF the Dolphins won out the season after going 0-7, it would be difficult to fire Sparano having rallied his team to a 9 game winning streak....
IF the Dolphins won out the rest of the season, was Sparano right all along and it just too that long for everything to finally start clicking?

Alot of it was based on "if".

Well, since our 0-7 start, the Dolphins have gone 4-2. The best we can hope to finish is 7-9, for the third year in a row. When it comes to my beloved Dolphins, I try to be an optimist. I supported Henne and was optimitistic and hopeful he could develop into a franchise QB. Well with his season ending injury, that didn't happpen this season. I supported Sparano at the beginning of the season until our skid began, called for his immediate firing, but then started to question that stance once we started winning and winning decisively, but alas, the overall....we would still be 7-9 at the end of the season...for the 3rd year in a row, 32-32 overall with Sparano at the helm and not improving on our 11-5 season of 08, only getting worst and remaining in medicoricy.

As hopeful as I was. As optimistic as I tried to be...the conclusion I came to after week four's loss has become clear, not that it was ever gone, just in question after our initial winning streak in November, but nonetheless, the cloudiness of that conclusion has now become crystal clear. Tony Sparano's gotta go.

The only question is will Ross start seriously looking for his successor now, take decisive action at the end of the season and set us up for success next year, or will he drag his feet as he did last year when we missed our chance at Jim Harbaugh?
