I'm suprised when anyone with dreads speaks well. That may be because I live in the NW though. Most of our dread heads are strung out white kids.
Really? Maybe it's just portland, but about 80% of the people that I run into with dreads are white kids aking me for change. I do have prejudice biased on the clothes, hair styles, etc... that people have. But, it's not deeply held, nor is it biased on genetics, so I wouldn't call it racism. Just biased on appearance I was mildly suprised at rg3 ability to deliver a good speech. I would have been shocked if Obama didn't the first time I heard him speak, just based on appearance. I wonder if it's the term "well spoken" that's the problem. If rg3 was called a wonderful orator, would there be any issues? Conversely, if Obama had been called well spoken, might there of been problems?
I for one was surprised at how smart RG3 is, mostly because of my bias against athletes. I have not heard him speak yet though, but in talking to some people about him, it seems he's a smart mother ****er. The dude graduated high school early and can leave school this year with a diploma (I think). That dudes smart.
Political Scienece major, graduated already, is off to law school if he wasnt going to NFL, and was recruited by Harbaugh at Stanford. Raised by 2 army sgts. Kid has a GREAT head on his shoulders, throws a good deep ball, athletic, track runner/hurdler runs a 4.3/4.4 Incredible. He even collects action figures and comics!!!!!!!!!! Man-crush for sure. /No homo
If you didn't know who RG3 was, and you heard him speak, over the phone... and someone asked the question if he was black or white, what would you say? Now, that's a race based question, which can be construed as racist, just like filling out those census forms. But alas, would you think he was black or white?
Not bad. He also has a hot sister. Thats usually the criteria I used for picking friends. Should translate well to picking QBs.
As long as he isnt a guido, I can put up with him, even if he isn't well spoken. I think people put to much emphasis on being articulate anyways.
well just to clarify, i hate everyone, equally, all of you. so whats the draft order with strength of schedule?? i need someone to crunch that for me cause, as you can tell from the proceeding statement i'm an uneducated idiot.
Yeah, well, you would, wouldn't you? Wait... you don't have dreads do you? I don't want no problems. I kid of course. I'm sure you're very well spoken. You know, for a you.
As of 12/12/11 (pending Monday night game StL v Sea): According to playoffstatus.com, the final PROJECTED spot for the Dolphins would be #7. They're projecting right now as follows: 1. Indianapolis 0-16 (.550) 2. Minnesota 3-13 (.560) 3. St Louis 3-13 (.580) 4. Washington 5-11 (.460) 5. Jacksonville 5-11 (.510) 6. Carolina 5-11 (.510) 7. Miami 5-11 (.520) 8. Cleveland 5-11 (.530) 9. Tampa Bay 5-11 (.540) 10. Philadelphia 6-10 (.490) 11. Buffalo 6-10 (.510) 12. Kansas City 6-10 (.520) 13. Seattle 7-9 (.510) 14. San Diego 7-9 (.530) 15. Arizona 8-8 (.460)
I think staying ahead of Cleveland (or behind, whichever way you look at it) is key. I see Luck and Barkley gone after the first 4 picks with Jax and Carolina not taking a QB. RG3?
we need to lose to everyone. browns, redskins are our main comp for the 2 qbs after luck. all keep note of what teams are worse than us but won't draft a qb.
basically st. louis and minn btw. if they suck worse than the browns or skins they should be our trade targets.
Depends on how much time Big Jake and Moore miss..they miss more than a game and we could easily lose out.
Well my alma mater in Portland had quite a few kids with dreads (19 years ago) , mixture of black and white, with majority being white. They were all very well spoken. and regardless of what their skin color was, there was still an inherent bias until they started speaking. and this was a bias I had at one of the 10 best schools in nation (IMHO).
Any word on Long? If Long is out or ineffective then having Moore play and post sub 70 ratings won't do much for our chances of winning either.
1. Indianapolis 0-16 (.550) - QB Andrew Luck 2. Minnesota 3-13 (.560) - CB Morris Claiborne 3. St Louis 3-13 (.580) - OT Matt Kalil 4. Washington 5-11 (.460) - QB Robert Griffin III -Surprise!!! But he fits way better into their offense compared to Barkley. The love running bootlegs and moving the QB around. Also they were linked to Jake Locker and traded their pick after he was selected. 5. Jacksonville 5-11 (.510) - WR Justin Blackmon 6. Carolina 5-11 (.510) - CB Dre Kirkpatrick 7. Miami 5-11 (.520) QB Matt Barkley - I would absolutely love this!!
Sorry but Mike Shanahan (Skin's coach) would take Barkley before RG3.....he prefers a pocket passing QB...think John Elway more than Michael Vick. I think if anything, the Skins take Barkley and we take RG3.
a few mocks have barkley slipping to miami, as much as i love that idea, i think it's far fetched...plus these mocks can't account for trades, so many teams need qb's, aggressive teams will trade up to get their qb, i hope the braintrust in miami thinks of that on draft day...don;t wait for barkley or rg3 to fall to you, if you want one, go get one...enough already

My biggest worry is Minny or Carolina trading down with someone like Seattle or Cleveland, still getting the Corners you project them getting, and us getting royally screwed out of a QB.
This would be awesome but for one small aspect..... Matt Kahlil is going back to USC......kinda throws a monkey wrench into this doesnt it?
