how bout this for streaks broken bess 0 catches - 1st time in his career with no catches - wow dabol couldnt even get him a catch
Actually SOS could have changed a bit with all the various outcomes, so you can not be sure nothing has changed. Not to mention we now have the same record as Buffalo now.
Exactly....but PHI just took early lead vs NYJ. so we pick up as much spilt milk as possible....whats done is done when it comes to our Victory.....we hope for the best following it.
Actually both games are somewhat meaningless to our SoS (aside from a tie in either) since its .500 to our SoS as we played all 4 of these teams on our schedule, however rooting for DEN and PHI if fun, and especially with it giving PHI another win. Who doesnt want NE and NYJ to suffer another loss....I do! Actually, in a small way since NE and NYJ are AFCE, their losses help our SoS% twice as much, so it would help if DEN and PHI win for that reason too.
That was a fun game to watch. I know it got a bit uncomfortable at the end but we got the win. Score was closer than the game actually was, IMO. Nice coaching debut for Todd Bowles. Defense: Yet again, played some really good, attacking football. 2 interceptions for Vontae Davis, the 2nd was a thing of beauty too...going up aggressively and snatching the ball out of the air. Reshad Jones with an interception as well, and we got to see the Pee-Wee dance from Jared Odrick again. Good defensive performance. Offense: A lot of big plays was great to see. Marshall and Bush with long TD's, and Fasano and Hartline had some big catches too. Moore played a solid game as well and Jerry filled in quite nicely for Big Jake.
Agree with most of this but unfortunately Marshall left some plays on the field that led to FG's instead of TD's. Make those plays and it wouldn't have even been close. Brandon just can't make plays in the redzone.
It does seem Marshall's Touchdowns have been outside the Red Zone. He's still a beast, though. I'm sure he'll solve that next season.
I'd just like to point out that today Bowles has proven he is a better game manager than Sparano ever was.
We did not have the patented "one bizzarre timeout used during 3rd qtr" that was a Sparano hallmark... Otherwise, until the onside kick was botched I thought Bowles did fine, that seemed to catch the team flat footed.
I do think Bowles deserves a serious look at the HC job. He is highly regarded in league circles for some reason.
