If he hadn't done so already, Bush has solidified that he is a real running back....

Nobody can say he can't carry the rock as a feature back, he can't take a pounding, and he can't run between the tackles. Dude can flat out play and it just took the right system to make it happen.

Hopefully whoever comes in as HC next season will see how to use him and will continue to believe in Reggie. I am a believer.

Yeah, he was great today. I admit that when the season started, I didn't believe he could do it, but he proved me wrong. That is a good thing. :)

Agreed. He has been great. I think that he changed his attitude as well, but like with most every player, the system is key.

I was wrong about Reggie; he's been a nice addition. However, I wouldn't go around signing him to any type of big extension based on this season alone.

I was at the game today and judging by what I saw, he had a rough start but I felt like I was watching a guy just grind it out and control the tempo all game. This was the last thing i ever expected from Bush. But watching him live was fun, he played a memerable game.

Bush has worked his *** off since being a Dolphin. It just shows what can happen when one of the most naturally talented players is also the hardest worker.

Well, I'm not sure he turned anything around, or just had the chance to carry the ball more often.

I do love the fact he is getting stronger as the season rolls along, 3 straight 100 yds games?

Bush can always take a pounding and no task is too big. Clearly. Especially in soggy, slippery conditions. SoFla humidity favors Bush in this regard. You put Bush in a position to make things happen, and you can really go to work with Bush.

I wanted the move to happen before it did for several reasons...

I was following how hard he was training up until the aqusition by us, combined with his age, the natural ability, some new found leadership talent, and need for his skillset, I thought it was the right move..

    Good job Irish..

Just think how hard this dude is gonna work this offseason...

The move to natural grass also was big. It's way better on the joints and he wanted it. Just finished Week 15 and he's healthy and looks explosive as hell. His 25th carry today went 76 yards.

Guy really knuckled down, took his already great conditioning to another level and ultimately achieved his goal.

He's proven all of us wrong and it's great. Easily the best season of his career. And he's unquestionably become a leader on this team.

Where's the guy who made the thread swearing Bush would be hurt by week 8 or whatever?

Seriously though, he's had a good year and glad to see him having success.

Pretty sure it was Ireland. Sparano wanted a Mccoy like back, so Ireland traded for Bush.

BTW, keep in mind Reggie was traded for a Conditional draft choice, no one knows what it will be now.

Probabaly a joint effort, Ireland knew Sparano desired that type of back, went out and found one..It was his first time on his own finding players.

Just wanna let everyone know this man is a legit 26 years old, won't be 27 til march..

Also...He is the perfect example as to why players who understand nutrition, and optimum physical training for the craft are becoming more valuable in the art of player evaluation.

He is the third as I remember Lamar Smith running for 200+ in a play off game against the Colts, back in 2000 I think. Still a hell of an achievement and kudos to Reggie and a great add to our team.

Aquiring Bush wasn't the only good move by Ireland, It was knowing when it was time to part ways with those two..which was once again, an accurate projection..

Maybe Ronnie should ask Reggie, what he eats, and where he works out...

It sort of highlights one of my issues with Ireland though, he doesn't draft offensive skill position guys well, he winds up having to trade for them.

That is a serious flaw in his game, for example Pat Turner did not pan out, he traded for what he thought Turner would be, Marshall, we wind up trading for Bush after Sheets did not pan out.

Did land CClay, but Gates the WR is a non factor in the offense to the point he doesn't play on offense.

Was talking to a Saints fan today and he mentioned Reggie never got his carries if he started the game off like he did today with 6 carries for 9 yards and a fumble. Funny what a guy can do when he get a real opportunity.

I don't know if I'm necessarily the guy you're talking about, but I did have serious doubts about his durability. When the trade went down in that day or so before we knew what the compensation was I said if we traded anything more than a 5th for him I would punch a baby. And I laughed at him when he said he could be an every down back. And I was wrong on all accounts. I'm man enough to admit that and I'm happy that I have to admit it. I believe in Reggie Bush. He made me a believer with his play this season. I hope we continue to take advantage of his talent for years to come with the new coaching staff.
